I just read on Rosie's blog that Vivi is not seperated from the other kids in Manhattan with Kelli. She states "all four kids are together".. A family, is a family, is a family.
So much for the "rags".

Yeah I saw that.
Even thought she and Kelli do not live together she says that they will always be a family.
She says that they are together not that they live together. I notice that she words things very carefully.
I just can not see Kelli leaving Vivi behind.
And I do believe that they are all together and will always be a family...even though they do not necessarily live together.
I just hope that they can work things out and all be back living together.

Rosie has come a long way in the past two years in dealing with her emotions, she seems to be doing really well, and I applaud her for keeping so much of the seperation private for so long.

Did you see that she is going to have a new radio show on Sirius starting on Monday? For 3 hours, I think?
I will try to catch it. She is going to stay away from politics (think she can?) and just be herself. Of course, it's Sirius, so anything goes! LOL

Rosie will just be herself. Rosie.
That is what I like about her.
She can easily offend others with her outspoken candour.
She was very frank when on The Howard Stern show talking about Oprah being gay.
Well not that she actually said that her gal pal Gayle King and Oprah were doing each other but their close relationship or emotional connection is similar to a gay couple.

What was Rosie promo'ing on Stern?
****************************
Rosie O'Donnell: Angelina and I Flirted on the Phone
Wednesday – October 28, 2009 – 1:25pm
Brad Pitt, watch your back for...Rosie O'Donnell?
In the midst of a potential split with spouse Kelli Carpenter, O'Donnell let it all hang out in an interview with Howard Stern Tuesday.
After noting that her struggling relationship isn't marred by sexual problems, she waxed nostalgic to Stern about her long-ago interaction with Angelina Jolie -- before Jolie's marriage to Billy Bob Thornton and current partnership with Pitt.
"She gave me her phone number," O'Donnell recalls.
"We talked on the phone two or three times, but that was that . . .There was a tentative plan to have dinner that never came through." she said.
"I was a little afraid of her. She's scary in a sexual kind of way. I have dreams about her a lot still."
O'Donnell, 47, who wed Carpenter in 2004, confirmed marital problems to USA Today last week. "Kelli and I love each other very much and we are working on our issues. Those are the only words I am ever going to say. Ever."
"We're a family, we remain a family and we're working on the issues," O'Donnell said; the couple have four children: Parker, 14, Chelsea, 12 and Blake, 9, and Vivienne ("Vivi"), 6.

sam king cat

It is like getting 'cable radio' for your car - instead of the regular AM/FM stations - if you subscribe to the 'satellite' radio - you get access to these other stations/radio programs.
You have oodles of comedy/stand up channels, news, sports, christian music, or any kind of specific music channels, The Howard Stern Show, The Martha Stewart Channel, Oprah is on as well as Barbara Walters.....etc.....and now Rosie will have her spot....
Most of the new cars probably come with the access - giving you free hook up for a trial period and if you wish to continue the service - you simply contact SIRIUS company to subscribe.
Older model cars - you probably get some doo-hickey installed to convert to the technology.

Sitter, it's satellite radio. You can have it in your home or you can get it in your car (or anywhere really I guess, lol)
I think it costs like $14.00 a month.......maybe a bit less or more, I'm not sure because Bob pays ours on the credit card.
It's good for shows like Martha's and Rosies but it's great when you go out of town because you don't have to change your stations to try and find another local station. You could drive down to Florida and never have to switch your station :)

On Rosie's live, daily call-in show, all are welcome and anything can happen
on riveting, real, relatable radio
NEW YORK, Oct. 26 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- SIRIUS XM Radio (Nasdaq: SIRI)
announced today that Rosie Radio, Rosie O'Donnell's exclusive live daily
morning show, will launch on November 2. Rosie Radio is the Emmy-award winning
talk show host, movie star, and stand-up comedienne's radio debut.
Rosie Radio will air Monday through Friday from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm ET/7:00 -
9:00 am PT on SIRIUS XM Stars, SIRIUS channel 102 and XM channel 155. Rosie
Radio will replay from 8:00 - 10:00 pm ET/5:00 - 7:00 pm PT, with a "Best of
the Week" airing at various times on the weekend.
Like Rosie herself, Rosie Radio will be compelling, intriguing, unpredictable,
and thought-provoking. The show will feature Rosie's trademark wit, wisdom
and straightforward take and outlook on life. Broadcasting from a custom-built
home studio near her kids and her crafts, Rosie will invite SIRIUS XM
listeners from across the country to pull up a chair next to her to hear
what's on her mind, and to tell her what's on theirs.
For two hours daily Rosie will have a forum to explore any topic, issue, or
event on her mind. Topics and guests will be driven by Rosie's numerous
passions, interests, and hobbies. The live, call-in format of Rosie Radio will
offer her millions of fans the chance to connect and interact with her on an
extraordinary level. The phone lines will be open every day for Rosie and her
listeners to talk about anything and everything: raising kids, losing weight,
watching TV, finding inspirational people, hearing Rosie's amazing stories and
opinions, and discovering Rosie's most inspirational people. She's equally
fascinated by stay-at-home moms and stars of Broadway and wants them all to
participate in the conversation.
"Rosie is a singular, powerful voice with extraordinary appeal, and we are
thrilled to be able to connect her with our subscribers every day on Rosie
Radio," said Scott Greenstein, President and Chief Content Officer, SIRIUS XM
Radio. "Rosie is the perfect fit for the unbound creativity and possibilities
of satellite radio."
"This is an exciting new adventure - two hours of talk show entertainment,
without having to wear makeup. Perfection," said Rosie O'Donnell. "I can't
wait to jumpstart each day with millions of SIRIUS XM listeners across the
country."
Rosie will be joined on the show regularly by some of her closest friends.
Rosie Radio regulars include lifelong friend Jeanne Kopetic, who will stop by
Tuesdays to hang out and reminisce about growing up in the '80s, high school
life, and the music they love. Janette Barber, Rosie's longtime friend,
producer and fellow comedienne, will be by her side as the show's executive
producer. Rosie's friend and makeup artist Helene Macaulay will also join the
fun, appearing regularly on Fridays. Rosie, Helene and Janette are known for
their "Jahero" (JAnette, HElene, and ROsie) series, previously done in the
past as web video blogs and a favorite of visitors to rosie.com. "Jahero" will
now be a regular Friday feature on Rosie Radio during which listeners can ask
Rosie, Janette and Helene any questions they like. Rosie's former assistant
and Taboo costume designer Bobby Pearce will also be a regular, chiming in
about everything from weight loss to Broadway.
Rosie Radio joins an expanding lineup of women's programming on SIRIUS XM that
includes Oprah Radio, Martha Stewart Living Radio, and Cosmo Radio. For more

Hi Beach! Howard is always saying he hates working. We should all hate work as much as he does - for what he gets paid. His contract is up at Sirius in about 2 years, and he says he won't re-sign the contract. He always said that when he was on regular radio, and he ALWAYS re-signed. We'll see what he does this time - he loves the attention and the limelight. And I'm sure, the money!

Rosie was on Rachael Ray today (dresses as Glenda the good witch) and talked about her new show. She talked about how she is very lucky that she doesn't have to work, but asked her agent to find something where she can work from home 2 days a week and not have to wear make-up. The Satellite radio thing is perfect for her!
She didn't talk about her personal life really, but I wasn't expecting her to.

I listened today; she made me nervous at first!!! She was very nervous and it was apparent! LOL But she quickly settled in. I loved her take on "Where the Wild Things Are" -- and the comparison to a family going through a divorce. Maybe she loved it so much because some of it hit home?
And that Chelsea texted her during the movie that she loved her -- I'm guessing that wasn't as random as it sounded and that she was emotional during that time. Just a guess!
But how about her calling out that woman with the clothes? To me, that was classic Rosie!!!
I listened to it the second time, because I missed it the first.
But the show after that? Aye yi yi -- it was a little much. Other than starting out interviewing Mark Consuelos!!! :)

Anyway.....
I can take Rosie in small doses. I loved to watch her with Martha Stewart. I think she was one of the few people who intimidated Martha......
Hopefully she has learned her lesson about politics and will avoid the subject. She alienated a lot of her audience when she went on her rants. Hell......"alienated" isn't really the right word........INSULTED is more like it. I can't laugh at someone who has made it clear that they think I am the scum of the earth..... As she was closing the door or window he thanked her for her stance on war.
She ended up inviting him on the show the following day, yesterday, and he turned out to be an interesting guy.
At the end of their chat she hired him to build a sort of small house in one of her yards for Blake, her 9 year old, to watch wildlife, etc and feed them (squirrels, etc).....but he can not work on it the hrs between 10 and 12. lol

Barbara Writes:
By preparing Vivi for the transition does that mean she will be leaving the rest of the family and going with Kelli somewhere else?

I listened to Rosie today....She was talking about her dog and said that she got it 2 years ago when Kelli moved out. She said that Kelli did not want any more pets so she couldn't get one before that...but as soon as Kelli left she got one.
I did not know that they were separated for so long. They kept it quiet for a long time. Good for them...don't know how they did it.

TWO YEARS?????? Wowza!
I have been listening when I get the chance. I really do like her show -- it really reminds me of her beginning on the tv show.

Actually, they kept it quiet for a long time when they first started being together.
I had hoped that they might work things out but I am beginning to think that isn't going to happen. I think maybe they are still quite close but not in a romantic way anymore. I think that is what Rosie means when she says they will always be a family. I think they will make decisions about the kids together, take turns being with them, and at times be together with the kids. They seem to be putting the lives of the kids first.

That is what I thought that Rosie meant by they will always be a family also. Even if someone - anyone gets divorced and there are children involved they will always be a family.
After 2 years of living apart it does seem unlikely that they will reunite as a couple.
The way she talks on the show leads me to believe that it is a done deal and she has cried her tears and moved on awhile ago.

Not that it really matters, but, putting things together -- when did she leave the View? Was it 2 years ago? Might that have been why she was so uptight and left the View so abruptly?
It's just a thought. Maybe the straw that broke the camel's back?

I can not remember when Rosie left The View. It seems like forever since she was on that show for some reason.
Rosie told Howard Stern she and Kelli had "different styles of living" and have "come to a point where we are seeing [if] what will make everyone happiest is maybe to not live together, but continue to parent."

She has said many times that if she had ever done anything different with her life, she would have been a teacher.

Thank you for letting me know that the video of Maverick was there Danielle.
She talked about Maverick last week on the radio and told the story of the big white tummy. She spoke a lot about him. I was curious to see him. What a cutie he is and her patience and gentleness with children is just amazing. The end brought a little tear to my eye.
I love watching her with the kids. She is amazing.

Listening to Rosie...didn't realize that she and Kelli are not married.
They did get married but received a letter that the marriage was annulled. She and Kellis are not married.

I can not find the thread about the new mammogram recommendations but Rosie is not happy about it either.
I did not know this but she said that if you have a family member that had breast cancer that the guideline is to start mamograms 10 years before the age they were.
Rosies mom got cancer at age 38 so Rosies dr made her start getting mammograms at 28.

ITA Sitter, I just wish Rosie had of actually levelled the bitch like a deck but there is always next time lol
and of course with you BR :)

I think that she called her Elisabeth Halfwit on Howards show. lol
She really does not like Elisabeth it seems. Can't say that I blame her. Uptight bitch (E. Halfwit). :)
************************************************** *********
Did you see The View the other day when Joy mentioned something about how Elisabeth wants to move out of NY because she's scared of terrorists or something like that? Elisabeth said, to Joy something like, "That's personal. Do you want me to start bringing up personal things you tell me?" At one point Joy said, "I'm just rolling my eyes."
I don't think they really get along in real life even though Joy insists it's all for the camera. I think some of it is sometimes for the camera & ratings, but other times, I don't think so. I think Whoopi & Joy get along. I notice they look at each other a lot when Elisabeth says something they think is ridiculous or whatever.
Is her husband still playing football?

I do not watch the view anymore.
I do not care for Elisabeth at all but in this instance I can't say that I blame her for wanting to move away for awhile in light of Obama deciding to prosecute Khalid Shaikh Mohammed in a civilian court in Manhattan.

On Tuesday, they tried some brand of Budweiser beer. It was funny at the end, because they were apparently all a little loopy! ONe of them (Janean, maybe?) doesn't drink. She was funny!

I was just at her website last night looking for Janeens (i forget her name also, lol) photos. She brought in photos from her trip to Rwanda to help with Operation Smile. Rosie has them up on her site.
Louies photo is on Rosies homepage. It is cool to put a face with him.
