There was a time for Valerie Par Hill, then I got hooked into Lori G.(whatever)May I suggest she stick to filling bowls! Her pies look great but they burn into a brown piece of wax turd. I am fairly new and remeber someone once posted a very fragrant candle they purchased from Q. Had it not been for those postings I thought for sure my sense of smell was gone after all the Lori testamonials. Thanks for your input

Amen to that. I purchased her TSV back in December. It was a pie rack with the cherry pies, cinnamon buns and other scented candles (can't remember what they were). It all looked so nice but the candles had no scent at all. The individual cherry pies burned away in less than an hour and burned into a dripping mess. I don't understand all those callers raving about her candles. I sent mine back and I'll never buy her candles again. I do have her silver safe keeper and am very pleased with that.

Lang and Yankee have the best candle scents. They just don't do the pies. Also heck out candlemart dot com. Their candles smell pretty good, not as good as yankee and lang but they are also half the cost of lang or yankee and more. I just ordered their 13pc May set for less than $10 because I had a coupon from a previous order.

I love Yankee Candles. There are very few scents that I don't like from them. Even the votives burn a long time and smell great and so many scents to choose from!!! I'm waiting for a catalog to arrive from Illuminations, does anyone have any experience with them?

Illuminations doesn't have as nice as scents as Lang or Yankee but they are much nicer than Valerie Parr Hill. Their accessories are wonderful and they have the best sales. So you need to check their online site frequently. Now if you purchase their smaller votives they have very nice scents that last a long time. I frequently give a catalog and a gift certificate as either wedding shower or wedding gifts and have always gotten an enthusiastic response from the recipients.

I loved the votive holder with the glass shade that QVC had from Illuminations on the San Francisco show. Of course it sold out while I was making up my mind which color shade to get. I saw it on their website so I'm going to wait for the catalog to arrive and maybe try some of their votives also.

I've used Illuminations and Yankee and recommend both...they each provide a high quality product. I ordered the illuminations Votive with Glass
Shade that Catsmeow talks about...I thought it was beautiful and a great value!
