Good morning NUTS. It's another hot day here in the midwest. Time to rise and shine!

Morning George, I don't believe this, I am first in right after you. This is so ridiculous. The first day I don't have the munchkins and no reason to get up and I have been up since 5:30 again. I think the heat and humidity have a lot to do with it. I just am not sleeping well at all. We went and bought two air conditioners last night, one for our bedroom and a larger one for the downstairs. It was late and hubby didn't have time to get them both hooked up, so the bedroom one isn't in yet. It sure will be today tho. I always said I would never get one because of our limited summer months, but I guess it is worth it to get some decent sleep.

Where do you suppose everyone is???? Let's get out some pots and pans and bang on them. That should get them all up and going. *Bang, slam, crash* There that should help. Hehehehehe.

Hmmmmmmm, maybe water balloons with icy cold water would help. *O.K. Here they come. *Lobs one at Mel, Coffee and Cindyloo, Lola, I Care, , let's see who else can I reach* Hmmmmmm, no luck. I know I will throw one at Copper, then he will get Mel up.

Good morning Babysitter. I hear you on the AC. I know what it's like to toss and turn all night because of the heat and humidity and it's no fun. Yes, it's looks like we have a bunch of sleepyheads this morning. Got any firecrackers to throw under their beds? LOL

Let's see, maybe I could get out my super-duper rocket launcher and come out there and go to coffee with you. Or I could just wait a bit and go downtown to the coffeee shop here and get coffeee and a scone. They make the best scones there.

I just have all this freedom and don't know what to do with it.

How is the baby munchkin doing??? I loved the pictures. He looks like a real huggable one.

The baby's doing fine, thank-you. They were over last night just before I went to bed. Mother is breast-feeding and hasn't had alot of sleep this past week. I feel sorry for her.

Oh yeah, I remember those sleep-deprived days. She might want to think about pumping a couple of bottles during the day, so at night Dad could help out with the feeding and she could get some rest. That also helps get the baby used to a bottle too, so in case they need to make a quick switch it makes it easier for them to adjust. Tell her if the baby naps, she should nap too. Housework and that stuff can wait.

Right now they are going back and forth between my son's place and the mother's parents until they get settled in to their own house. It's just going to take a little time.

Aren't ya glad you don't have all that trying to get a family settled and a life started to do all over again. I think that with the way the world is now, we maybe had a little bit easier time of it. We didn't have as much money as they make now, but we didn't have the cost of things the way they are now either. I can remember buying baby food at 10 cans for $1.00.

There is an awful lot of pressure on the young kids starting families now it seems to me.

Good morning NUTS!!! It's humid & horrible today. I might even be forced to turn on the too noisy a/c. I grew up with central air & I'll tell you.... these wall units just drive me mad. They were in the walls when we bought the house and this might be the year that they are replaced with new, quiet models.

Enough bitching!!!!! LOL

Yippee, yippee, Mel came to play. I am thinking about surprising hubby and getting him a nice breakfast. Eggs, bacon, juice, the whole works. Nah, if I did that he would probably have a heart attack. I haven't fixed breakfast since about the first week we were married and that was a long time ago. LOL.

Yes Babysitter and it takes 2 people working to make a living now. That's sad. But I also think that everyone is trying to keep up with the "Jones's", ya know.

You are right there George, our first apartment was so small the baby was in our room until she was about 18 months old and we were able to get a two bedroom place. Now they all have to have a "nursery" done in Winnie-the-Pooh or Disney or something like that. My daughter had 4 walls, a crib, and a small dresser for her clothes. I changed her on my bed or the sofa,I didn't have a dressing table. Ya know, she wore hand-me-downs from her cousins and was a happy contented baby. Amazing wasn't it????

That is why I sometimes worry about Ryan and his brother. Mom and Dad are both teachers, they both coach a sport, they both do Drama Club and are class advisors. Now that it is summer they both work at a Baseball Camp near here. They are big spenders tho. The boys clothes have to be Disney or Warner Bros or
some name brand and sneakers have to be Addidas or another name thingy. They have every toy you could imagine. They both have battery-operated cars. She wouldn't think of buying at WalMart or K-Mart of anyplace like that. What they don't have is their parents. They are either with me or during the summer with their grandparents. Someday I think they will look back and realize how much they missed.

I thought you should know that it rained here last night and there was thunder and everything.It's 79 now and it's fair with 77 percent humidity.It will go up to 84 today.It feels hotter than it is.It's going to storm Thursday,Friday and Saturday and be in high 80's.Sunday,Monday and Tuesday will be partly cloudy and in the 90's.
