I ordered them today. I'm hoping to organize my closet space a little better. I need the room because my 87 yr. old mother-in-law is coming to live with us. Has anyone used these before?

I haven't used them, I just wanted to comment on the price. How can they charge about $4** a bag, and still claim that the retail value is twice that high?? They're just plastic bags, right? Oversized Glad bags..! I just don't understand why they cost so much. I'm glad I don't need them, I would feel like such an idiot paying that much for those bags.

No offense to you, by the way. Enjoy the bags. And as a TSV, the price was much more reasonable.

Sunshine, true they're made of plastic, but, I'm pretty sure it's a higher grade of plastic then Glad bags. More of a tougher commerical grade. I've bought Ziploc freezer bags in the 2 gallon size to store things in. The air always seeps back in. The TSV is supposed to be made to not do that.
From QVCs site:
These innovative bags create more space in your suitcase, and on your shelves, by using a simple manual compression to force trapped air out of clothing and linens--just push down on the bag top. One-way, multicheck valves let air out, not in; and an anti-blow back zipper and locking slider seal the bag closed. The bags keep clothing and linens safe from season to season, helping to protect them against moisture, mold, mildew, and moths.
And, these Pack Mates upgrade the original: they're larger, stronger, and have two more valves per bag. Softer, more durable lamination makes it easier to force air out. Each bag's new cover design even offers larger print instructions and suggested usage ideas. Problem solved!
For $4 a bag, you're getting a good deal if they work as advertised. If they don't, Queenie can return them.

Hello,
I just wanted to tell you I have these bags and they do work as well as they claim to. I have enjoyed mine very much and they really save space.

I still think they are expensive, and for what you get, not really worth it. But like I wrote, as a TSV, they might be.

I got the storage bags a while ago and had great luck using them on a recent trip to Ireland. Since it was going to be cold and rainy while we were there we had to pack coats and sweaters and gloves, and I used a bag to really compress them. Then I used another bag on the return trip to pack some Irish woolen blankets we bought. The bags really hold a lot!

I got mine off of a travel website a couple years ago, but they are the same bags. 1 large and 2 medium for $25. So I ordered the tsv. I thought it was an excellent price. And you are right they do work. I am planning on using them for my trip to Europe in a couple weeks. Almost 4 weeks with one suitcase.

Beware of traveling with them. I read on this board or that other one, That they can explode while in the baggage compartment and will leave you without a suitcase and your things all over the baggage compartment. I use them at home but decided not to travel with them.

Travel with them all the time, that is why I ordered more. And I am not going to overload my suitcase. And it would take a lot to force it open since it zips all the way around. That is a funny picture though.

I have these bags, but don't think that you should leave things in there very long I use to put my things in there from winter to summer and they had a terrible smell and everything had to be washed. Good luck with the storage.

I wondered about the smell. Maybe I'll Fabreeze them first.
