10 Space Bags

I was thinking of purchasing these space bags for some sweaters. Item #V-15133....has anyone tried them? And if so, how did they work? or didn't work? HSN has some also, doesn't seem like the same brand, and they have very mixed reviews on them. I was hoping that someone on the Q board might have tried the QVC ones they offer. Thanks.....

I ordered them from QVC several months ago to store a queen Northern Night's down comforter and some extra pillows. They were easy to use, compacted everything just fine and I now have a closet with lots of extra space but the instructions say it's important to remove the articles every 6mo or so. That defeats the purpose for me because I'd like to store these things until I need to use them again. Also came with a warning for down/feather products ... too much compacting will crush the feathers. I think they'd work great for storing seasonal clothing etc.

I bought my bags two years ago. I find that they work fine but left a smell in the clothes of the material they are made out of. I had to air everything out and even wash some of them. Hope this helps you, maybe they are better now.

Thankyou so much for your reply...I really appreciate them. I will probably go ahead and order them, they are on a waitlist, so that gives me more time to decide for sure. These reply's were a great help.
