Murphy the Q Dog

Does anyone know what happened to QVC's mascot, Murphy? He has not been on in a while and his picture and bio are gone from QVC's website.

I have no idea where Murphy is and I have not seen him lately either. I thought that Dan's wife was his trainer and that Murphy lived with them.

On the other board, they said that Murphy was retired. He's fine and living the life I'd love to live.

Yes, I heard that he lives with Dan Hughes and his new wife. I heard that he retired too.

I heard the same thing. He is living with Dan.

Well I'VE never heard OF him, let alone FROM him.

It took years and many different owners of QVC before QBird was replaced. You have to wonder who's dusty attic, in what type of box, QBird finally ended up in.

AWWWWW I'm going to miss that big old dog. I loved to see him laying on all of the northern night bed stuff.

Just to clarify... Murphy went into retirement because of the law regarding working "on camera" animals. It seems an animal must be retired after age six. Seems too soon to me. Murphy had to have loved the attention he got at QVC plus he wasn't there to do tricks. Sadly I recently learned that Murphy got cancer a couple years ago and had to be put to sleep. He was a cool dog!
