It will soon be Father's day.My Dad passed away in 1995.He was 96.We wasnt expecting the bad news.It was a big shock to my family. My Dad was a wonderful man.He was a animal lover.I guess i took that after my Dad,because i love all kinds of animals.I truly miss my Dad. SOME people come into our lives-----Stay for awhile, leave foot prints on our hearts.and we are never ever the same-.

Happy Father's Day to all the Dad's out there. I know just what you mean, Terry. I am lucky enough to still have my dad with me. I will treasure this Father's day probably more than any other. So sorry to hear about your loss. Enjoy the day and spend time thinking about him and honoring his memory.

Bremma, how are you and your Dad doing? I think about you every day - it's hard to have illness in the family and being so far away makes it even more difficult. Does your Dad use the computer? If so and you have a computer, can you email pictures of the your kids and family to him frequently? One of my best friends had cancer and the prognosis was bleak. She entered an experimental program nearly 7 years ago and her chart said, "terminal", now it says "disease free"...her doctors said that they had underestimated the importance of family, friends and a positive attitude until they met her. I hope all of you can keep up your spirits - I know that's easier said than done but I sincerely wish you the best.

Ski girl, I am touched by your kindness in remembering about my dad and asking about him. It amazes me that there are such special people out there that are strangers that are kinder to us than our freinds and family sometimes are. My dad is home from Boston. He has finished his treatment and is doing ok. He has lost alot of weight and looks soooo different. He looks so ill. It was amazing how he looked compared with how he looked when he went up to Boston just a couple of months ago. He's lost about 65 pounds. He goes back up to Boston on July 18th for another checkup and I assume an MRI to see if the treatment helped. Please continue to keep us in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you again for asking.

Bremma, you're welcome - I've said it before but I'll say it again, sometimes it is sooooooooo hard to be an adult. Hang in there and try and be strong.
