The other day QVC launched ANOTHER skin care line called Lancaster. It was supposed available in a select cities in the US and is very popular in Europe.
The QVC host and the Lancaster rep Molly were taking a LOT of phone calls from callers who have used this product for years. They were wondering why QVC wasn't offering any of the Lancaster skin care products that had the SPF in them, like they were used to buying in the stores in the US and Europe. They were rattling off product names in the Lancaster line and their question was legit. These were callers who knew the product line very well!
Lancaster's answer was that they only wanted to launch SKIN CARE BASIC TO QVC first. HELLO....isn't SPF now considered a SKIN CARE ESSENTIAL !!!!!!!!! How in their right mind would anyone spend $55.00 for a bottle of moisturizer ,that didn't have ONE DROP of SPF in it ????
Thank God, I'm highly allergic to makeup and gave it up over 10 years ago. I had to visit
my dermatologist for a refill on my allergy cream and she double checked my age, because she wanted to be sure the chart was right. She asked me what my secret is and I said SUN SCREEN !!!!! I NEVER go out without it.
Don't buy these expensive make up and skin care products at QVC, if they don't offer skin protection. Sun screen does work !!! All I use is lipstick and since I have no sun damage, I don't need make-up. Start writing to QVC and DEMAND those SPF products.

Once again Pickyshopper you are right on. Lancaster was the first foundation I used twenty years ago. I remember it was a foam that went on beautifully. Since I live in NYC, I'm exposed to lots of products and I can not understand why any cosmetic company would send to a mass market like QVC without offering sunscreen. It is a staple in every line. I'm glad they were questioned about it. For that kind of money, they should be.

I agree with both of you and I have complained to QVC about the lack of at least a SPF15 UVA/UVB in their moisturizers and body lotions. It's like shouting at a wall. LeMirador is the only one I'll use. Principal Secret offers the 15 in some of its products but is sadly lacking the UVA protection!
