best and worst hosts? [Archive]

Figured i'd start us off with a poll of everyones fave/least fave host(s)...my faves would be kathy wolf and colleen lopez...kathy is so nice and down to earth and so beautiful and ditto for colleen..mindy is soo cute but she annoys the hell out of me, too perky and her voice gets under my skin...same goes for chris scanlon i cannot watch her! guy yovan is too pushy and spastic for my tastes but he is a good salesman...overall my fave is kathy hands down!

I'm not familiar with a lot of the HSN hosts as I've only been watching for 6 mos (used to have HSN yrs ago, but my cable co. dropped it) I like Kerry McNally a lot, but I dont see him very much as I'm halfway out the door once Sunrise starts. I do like Collen and Chris. Lynn Murphy. The very early morning hosts really turn me off. Too perky. I'm not sure of their names. They must be drinking coffee all night. I'd have to say overall, QVC has a better roster of hosts. But I shop with both networks.

Best hosts.....Colleen Lopez, Bill Green, Barbara Marville. Worst.....Bobbie Ray Carter (way too hyper) and Shannon (who talks over everyone). I sure do miss Dan Dennis!!! Anyone else a fan of his?

Bobbie Ray, that's who it was. I couldnt think of her name. I dont care for Shannon that much either. Dan Dennis was before my time.

Dan Dennis "retired last year". The consensus on the HSN bb was that he was "forced out", although I don't know why. Dan Dennis and Dan Wheeler were both hosts on CVN and remain friends to this day....at least I think so, if I'm wrong, someone please correct me. Dan was very knowledgeable about gemstones but had health problems. I really miss him. He was the consummate (sp?) professional and very nice.

I liked Dan Dennis. He sure knew jewelry. He had a very serious illness 18 moinths or so and when he came back he thanked everyone and told how seriously ill he had been. Then suddenly he "retired". Seemed like a very nice person.

I love watching Colleen Lopez and Suzanne Summers together. They crack me up! Colleen is so good!!! Funny, I've never bought anything from HSN though. I like Chris Scanlon and Shannon Smith too!

And who's the cute guy that does the sports shows? Rich Hollenberg...that's it! I like him!!! I also like Dave Shimkus and John Cremeans, very professional and easy to watch.

My all time fav has to be Colleen Lopez. What's funny is that I couldn't stand her at first but now whenever she is on I watch her. I feel that she is really honest and I can tell when she is not liking something she is presenting right away! I LOVE to watch her together with Suzanne Somers, they really make me laugh. My husband catches me laughing sometimes and I always tell him that when they are on they are my entertainment. Sure beats some of the garbage they have on TV.

I learned so much from Dan Dennis. He really knows gemstones. I haven't watched HSN much lately so some of the hosts are new to me. I like that lady that does the Plus Size segments, the one with the short reddish brown hair. Can anyone tell me her name?

John Cremeans seems to be a nice man and I think he knows his stuff. But he drives me crazy with delivery. He slurs words, mispronounces half of them and makes no sense whatsoever 3/4 of the time.

Quennie - her name is Kelly Repassy...she's very good! Always on during the overnight hours. Would be nice to see her in daylight too.

Cynthia - I totally agree with you... Colleen and Suzanne are pure entertainment! And I've never bought anything from them...I just watch to laugh! Suzanne still has the "Crissy" in her! They're fun! Aren't you glad I told your hubby about this board! And I told him "I'll never be a person who posts!" hahaha

Laura Lou, I know...I am really happy that you did. Since I am home most of the times it's really fun to share with others. I started watching QVC and HSN just to have background noise. I wanted to hear adults speak!! LOL Now that he has hooked me up with DSL and the PC in the living room where the baby plays I get to chat with others and play with my baby. Thanks a lot LuraLou! My favorite host is Lynn Murphy.My worst is Colleen Lopez.She just seem like a phoney.I cannot stand the way she just gushes over EVERY baubble she is trying to sale.Her and Suzanne Somers together is just about more than I can stand.And if I have to hear "It's a wow." One more time I will really loose my lunch.

I like Colleen Lopez (especially with Suzanne Somers - they are the best duo on these days! They make me laugh!)

I like Chris Scanlon - I think she's the one who calls her son "Sha****ny" and draws it out! Pretty funny!

Dan Dennis was the best! I bought more than a few gemstone jewelry from him! Very cute, too! Did he marry a co-show-host? Don't know why he left.

I also like Barbara Marville Kelly and Bobby Ray Carter.

Didn't get into the guy with the English accent. But I do like the slim guy I see in the a.m. sometimes. John Cremeans is good. Who was that rotund guy Larry something....? He was a hoot!

Funny thing, is I rarely purchase anything from HSN. More likely to purchase from QVC.

I think Mindy McCortney is terrific. I also like Lynn Murphy. Both are very attractive and I think Mindy in particular is very sincere. Either that or she is a really good actress. I wish she wasn't wasting away in that top of the hour thing they do.

The best hosts are the HSN babes like Colleen Lopez, Diana Perkovic & Bobbi Ray Carter just to name a few but the WORST hosts are the wimpy guys.

all the male hosts and yes i`m including karen " the butch" repassey" and rachel "the freak" huber" on hsn and qvc now. the best hosts are marlo "hot fudge" smith, lynn murphy,shivan sarna,kathy wolf, british ford, on hsn. on qvc the best are jacque " big boobs" gonzalez, mary beth " hot legs " roe,lisa robertson,sharon faestch,lisa mason.all the male hosts on qvc have to go as well.
