Boyfriend's 3 kids!

I love the Moral Court Tv show, but some topics are just
unbelievable! Today's show had this woman on that was
begging her boyfriend to marry her. He said he didn't love
her and that he had 3 kids she didn't even know about! How
can you be in a relationship with a man for TWO YEARS and not know he has 3 kids?? Some of these people need serious
help. Sometimes I'm glad that the judge tells them to go to
counselling.

When the show first began, Judge Elder would come out in an empty courtroom and talk straight to the camera as a way to introduce the show. He would say something along the lines of, "It never ceases to amaze me how many people don't know the simple difference between right and wrong." This certainly applies to the case you're referring to. There are, unfortunately, too many people like her who are so desperate for love that they don't check carefully into the other person's background. (Either that or they keep themselves in ignorance on purpose!) However, it is also important to keep in mind that not everyone who needs therapy is morally wrong. Some very moral people simply have problems that they need to work out in therapy; that's one of the reasons why Judge Elder sometimes suggests that the litigants go to therapy - while he can help resolve MORAL issues, a therapist is necessary to resolve PSYCHOLOGICAL issues (which are not always the same).
