AOL LIVE: Hi to go to him.
AOL LIVE: Host: Right.
AOL LIVE: Connie: Tomorrow I think we are
AOL LIVE: going to use an interview that
AOL LIVE: was some -- with someone
AOL LIVE: overseas and he couldn't come to
AOL LIVE: us either.
AOL LIVE: So hi to go to him.
AOL LIVE: Host: OK.
AOL LIVE: Connie: Every once in a while
AOL LIVE: that will happen.
AOL LIVE: Not that often.
AOL LIVE: Host: Here is a member question
AOL LIVE: that sounds like it is from an
AOL LIVE: aspiring journalist who needs
AOL LIVE: your motivation.
AOL LIVE: T. News Girl 10.
AOL LIVE: I'm a producer working in grand
AOL LIVE: rapids, Michigan.
AOL LIVE: I get really frustrated in this
AOL LIVE: field.
AOL LIVE: I would say that two to three
AOL LIVE: days out of the week I just want
AOL LIVE: to quit.
AOL LIVE: Do all journalists have a
AOL LIVE: love-hate relationship with
AOL LIVE: work?
AOL LIVE: It is tough.
AOL LIVE: Connie: Yeah.
AOL LIVE: I think they do but I think some
AOL LIVE: people hate it a little more.
AOL LIVE: I think she's obviously one of
AOL LIVE: those.
AOL LIVE: I think she's kind of like my
AOL LIVE: niece who hated it enough to,
AOL LIVE: you know, abandon it, that she
AOL LIVE: just didn't like the rough and
AOL LIVE: tumble of it.
AOL LIVE: I love it but I also come home
AOL LIVE: with an unload all the baggage
AOL LIVE: of the day on my husband and he
AOL LIVE: sits there and listens and
AOL LIVE: coaches me and makes everything
AOL LIVE: into a joke so that I laugh
AOL LIVE: about it instead of cry about
AOL LIVE: it.
AOL LIVE: Host: Which is interesting
AOL LIVE: because as many of our members
AOL LIVE: might not know, your husband is
AOL LIVE: Maury Povich.
AOL LIVE: He is in sort of the same
AOL LIVE: industry, right?
AOL LIVE: Connie: Yeah.
AOL LIVE: Sure.
AOL LIVE: Yeah.
AOL LIVE: Host: Daily shows.
AOL LIVE: Is that how you met, through TV?
AOL LIVE: Connie: Yes.
AOL LIVE: Exactly.
AOL LIVE: He is a very good -- he has a
AOL LIVE: very big shoulder for me to cry
AOL LIVE: on every night because I always
AOL LIVE: have something that's my little
AOL LIVE: problem of the day.
AOL LIVE: Host: As we all do.
AOL LIVE: So this is AOL Member sell east
AOL LIVE: E. asks, have you ever in your
AOL LIVE: career refused to do a story
AOL LIVE: because you did not agree with
AOL LIVE: it for any other reason?
AOL LIVE: Connie: I -- there were men I --
AOL LIVE: there were plenty that I
AOL LIVE: objected to.
AOL LIVE: But I had this horrible habit of
AOL LIVE: feeling obligated to be the team
AOL LIVE: player, to do what -- to do what
AOL LIVE: my boss wanted me to do.
AOL LIVE: And I think that is a syndrome a
AOL LIVE: lot of women suffer from, being
AOL LIVE: the good little girl.
AOL LIVE: And being the dutiful player and
AOL LIVE: not rocking the system because
AOL LIVE: we are -- women are always
AOL LIVE: struggling for equal and -- in
AOL LIVE: the job place.
AOL LIVE: And it was finally when I
AOL LIVE: reached -- I don't know what
AOL LIVE: age, but I stopped doing that.
AOL LIVE: I would gracefully and nicely
AOL LIVE: say I don't want to do this.
AOL LIVE: It is OK.
AOL LIVE: It is OK.
AOL LIVE: If just say it nicely and
AOL LIVE: explain why, you should not have
AOL LIVE: to.
AOL LIVE: -- not be forced to do you don't
AOL LIVE: want to do.
AOL LIVE: So -- r -- you know what?
AOL LIVE: Is it OK if we maybe do just two
AOL LIVE: more?
AOL LIVE: Host: Sure.
AOL LIVE: We can do that.
AOL LIVE: Connie: Is that OK?
AOL LIVE: I think I ought to -- people are
AOL LIVE: waiting for me.
AOL LIVE: I don't want to keep them much
AOL LIVE: longer.
AOL LIVE: Host: Let's get in this question
AOL LIVE: then from member sarg 114 says,
AOL LIVE: how does it feel to have the
AOL LIVE: first show behind and you do you
AOL LIVE: have any big interviews coming
AOL LIVE: up?
AOL LIVE: Connie: Actually, I have a big
AOL LIVE: interview that we air tomorrow.
AOL LIVE: This will all go out on --
AOL LIVE: Host: This is live right now.
AOL LIVE: Yeah, you can tell us about
AOL LIVE: something we should watch for
AOL LIVE: tomorrow.
AOL LIVE: Connie: Well, I don't want to
AOL LIVE: give it away.
AOL LIVE: I did mention it the program.
AOL LIVE: It is an interview with a world
AOL LIVE: renowned singer who answers a
AOL LIVE: question that he has avoided for
AOL LIVE: more than a decade.
AOL LIVE: It makes news.
AOL LIVE: It is a news-making interview.
AOL LIVE: Host: Great.
AOL LIVE: That's a greattees.
AOL LIVE: Connie: Yeah.
AOL LIVE: Host: The last question, one
AOL LIVE: that hopefully is a good one
AOL LIVE: from AOL member sequin 13.
AOL LIVE: It says what is your biggest
AOL LIVE: accomplish many in your life?
AOL LIVE: -- accomplishment in your life?
AOL LIVE: Connie: I would say having a
AOL LIVE: wonderful family.
AOL LIVE: My -- I was smart enough to
AOL LIVE: realize that Maury was the one I
AOL LIVE: should marry and that led to our
AOL LIVE: son Matthew.
AOL LIVE: And I just think -- I feel
AOL LIVE: very, very lucky to have them in
AOL LIVE: my life.
AOL LIVE: Host: OK.
AOL LIVE: Great.
AOL LIVE: That is wonderful that you took
AOL LIVE: the time to talk to us.
AOL LIVE: You have a lot of big fans on
AOL LIVE: AOL who watch the show and if
AOL LIVE: some of them are in a different
AOL LIVE: time zone they are still going
AOL LIVE: to tune in.
AOL LIVE: Connie: Great.
AOL LIVE: Host: Thanks for chatting with
AOL LIVE: us.
AOL LIVE: Have a good night.
AOL LIVE: Connie: You too.
