Barbaree Too Much!

I watched the first 20 minutes of Live today and didn't care too much for this Barbaree woman. In my opinion, she came off as brash and appears to have a loud mouth. Someone said earlier in another post, that she loves to be the center of attention, obviously they knew what they were talking about. Granted, she is beautiful and is a spitfire but, she is just the younger version on KLG. Why replace KLG with someone who is just like her.

I thought her language was a bit out of place for a morning show too. She kept saying "what the hell" and damn this, and damn that. If she were to replace KLG, she would call attention to the show for sure, but it would be the wrong kind of attention, people would watch her for the same reason they watch KLG, too see what dumb thing she's going to say or do next.

I can understand if people do not agree with me, that is fine, this is just my opinion of this woman and I've only watched her for 20 minutes, then again that was more then enough for me.

wanna be. Unfortunatley Regis seemed to love her so she
probably will be picked. I liked Kathleen Murphy who was
on Tues. she seemed a lot more genuine.

I really wanted to like Jillian but couldn't handle it. It's sickening how Regis wanted to make this work. She has some of Kathie Lee's characteristics but is more obnoxious. Regis was so different today from Tues. when Kathleen was on. It was so obvious that he was more partial to Jillian. I think that the only ones that would go for Jillian would be men and I don't think that they make up most of "Lives" audience.

Seems to be a trend going here. My wife and I happened to see both Kathleen and Gillian, and we both liked Kathleen much better.

(In case Regis' people ever read this: Demographics = my wife and I are both 55, retired early, do not watch much television during the day time, and this is my one and only post re. a television program.)

For what it's worth: Keep Kathleen, and we watch. Lose Kathleen, and you lose two viewers.

It seems like this show is going from bad to worse. Where do they find these people? It's bad enough putting up with K Mee for 15 yrs and now they try to clone her? This Barberie character would be better off doing trailer commercials for hillbillies in Kentucky.

Jillian Barbarie is on FOX 11 here in Los Angeles from 7-9:00am. She and entertainment reporter both struggle to be the center of attention everyday. Jillian was "toned down" with Regis this morning, she is usually more obnoxious with her other co-host Steve Edwards. She does the weather and some style segments. She dresses like she just came from a night club before going to work every morning. The only difference between she and Kathie Mee is, she does not have any kids and she gets irritated when the entertainment reporter talks about her son.

Gillian was really bad. The first thing that popped into my mind when she started her antics was KATHIE LEE. I found her to be obnoxious, immature and totally unappealing. Yes, the show is going to go from bad to worse if they hire this girl. I was appalled by some of her antics. Did you notice how many times during the Host Chat she touced Regis on the arm?? About 5 or 6. Regis seemed to be totally enamored with her since he does watch her show when he's down in L.A.
I kind of get the feeling that she is definitely a serious candidate since they took the time to profile her on ET the other night. I hope the producers will have smarts not to hire her, the last thing we need is a Kathie Lee clone.

Like M Strong I get enough of Jillian here in LA and do not want to see her as the new co-host when I can't even stand to watch her on the news. She is also one for throwing around sexual innuendos so Regis can expect more of the same, she does this to Steve Edwards many times. Steve BTW took over the job Regis had on AM Los Angeles when Reege went back to NY to do Live. I'm not surprised Jillian is trying out for something new though, she never seemed appropriate on the news with her plunging necklines and tight clothes. Where ever she belongs? Its on primetime and not some morning show like Live! She is totally wrong for the job.

I could't disagree more. Sure, Jillian is a stunning beauty. But she is much more than that. I watch her in LA, and she is without a doubt one of the most astute broadcasters of our time. Her daily feature piece, "Look Good, Feel Good", give the Sunday morning news shows a run for their money. Regis better snag Jillian now, before Dan Rather retires. Moreover, her work on "The X Show" proves that her persona can work in any daypart and in any forum. And, no ugly scandals regarding husbands & prostitutes or underage slave laborers. In short, Jillian is exactly what the genra (and the Country) is sorely lacking; beauty, brains, talent & morals. The jealously of Kathy Lee and her apologists notwithstanding, Jillian is exactly what Regis, and all of us need. God Bless her.

amen dave shebby!! Jillian is to broadcasting what ghandi was to world peace. A gem like her only comes once in a lifetime. Her charm and comapssion shine through the screen and i almost feel like she is speaking directly to me. barbara walters and diane sawyer should study tapes of jillian and maybe their careers can be saved. god bless her and you, dave shebby, for speaking the truth!!

First off, I have to defend that beatiful and gregarious Jillian Barbarie. SHE'S HOT! She's a crossover between Cindy Crawford and the porn start, Janine! She is EXACTLY what Regis needs! Jillian will pump Regis' heart back to life! Did you see how Regis was trying to show off with the wrestlemania man? Regis has a bone for her! Regis is on top of his game and having someone as vivacious and funny as Jillian is exactly what the show needs to boost ratings! You'll have Regis there as the charismatic and always friendly male host, then have the voluptuous Jillian showcasing her sexy body in stylish drabs while she and Regis laugh it up and interview the guests, and so on.

One thing that bothers me about reading these posts are that the whiners seem to be a bunch of oldies from Moskogie! GET OVER IT PEOPLE! The show is a precursor for Regis' big money job, THE MILLIONAIRE show! I thought Jillian was great and she's just what the show needs! A younger, fresh, hot, sexy, cool, funny approach is what Jillian has to offer! New York LOVES HER! It would not surprise me if Jillian ends up getting her OWN show, eventually! Hell, I'm sure one of the MTV Casting Director's have got her on their speed dial, as we speak! She's certainly got the personality for it and if you people disagree with me, then you DON'T know what COOL is! Jillian will draw in more of a younger viewing audience, especially with all the kids out of school for the summer!

I have a television in the break room at my place of employment and EVERYONE in there this morning was chucking it up! WE LOVED JILLIAN! SHE'S A MARKETING WINNER!

Jillian is not self-centered, and those who say she is can eat my shorts! She's a party girl and there's ZERO complaints coming from the twenty-something viewing audience!

Jillian was like watching Kathy Lee on her most manic day. It was a nightmare, and I didn't think Regis was happy with her at all. I thought he was ill at ease and just did his best to get through the show. Kathleen Murphy is my choice!

It's not her age or where she is from I have a problem with It is that she does not seem like morning show material I can see her more on some primetime Hollywood reporter show. Dave Shebby,Andy and "Hedge" man must all be about ten years old. Just because she is beautiful does not mean she will make a good co-host. Regis's normal sarcastic attitude was not there. Kathleen and him really hit it off. He was at ease with her. And by the way,[dave,andy and Hedge man] Jillian cannot mesmorize everyone with her beauty. I am rooting for joy and kathleen who are not only beautiful AND classy but Regis likes them too!

I am of the minority because I liked Jillian. I am 49 years old, and I liked her liveliness and banter with Regis. I saw no chemistry with the other two ladies. They were so subdued! Of course,I would love to see Joy sit in with Regis every morning, but that will never happen because they would be taking their vacations at the same time, and you can't have two guest hosts!

Well they say you never get a second chance to make a first impression. Well I guess they are right because I have no desire to even give Jillian five more minutes to try and impress me again. To compare her to Cindy Crawford, I feel, is an insult to Cindy. I will say she's got a nice body but that face. That NOSE! Even if she DID look like Cindy (because it is not based solely on looks but a total package) - who could get past all that screetching. I do think that Regis has made it clear that this is the girl he wants though. I remember that he said one of the reasons he liked Kathie Lee when she was first hired was because she could make him look young. Perhaps that is his theory here. I think he looked rather foolish with all of his immature remarks to her and about her - kind of like a love-sick puppy. I live in the Los Angeles area and have seen Jillian's antics on the rare mornings when I have channel 11 on. Let me tell you all, she's completely wrong as a replacement for Kathy "Big Mouth" Gifford.
She spends the entire morning "trying" to be funny and she's NOT! I find her obnoxious and unsuitable for newscasting! Why they hired her here in LA is a mystery to most of us here.
Also, let's face it. Regis is no kid and would ridiculous co-hosting with someone her age. Whether anyone really liked Kathy Lee or not she made a nice co-anchor. Jillian is too young, obnoxious, and definitely a show hog if I ever say one!

I don't live in LA, but I can't stand Jillian Barberie!

I knew her in college, and - I'd tell you! That woman had no class, thought she was hot sh*t, and didn't pull her weight as much as I did. In other words, she was and probably is a tramp who definitely doesn't do a thing for me appearance- or talent-wise. And, should I mention that she didn't do that well in school and still got favorable treatment from our profs?! Jillian had a passion for what? Getting the brass ring at the expense of harder working, more talented and more journalistically adept students at our school.

Shame on you, Mohawk College! At least, there are enough people who feel the same way about this so-called TV anchor. She's not even a trained meteorologist, but a weather bunny circa 1970.
