Good morning everyone. I just wanted to say that I came on this message board last week and started out wrong. I have been posting somewhat nasty posts to people because of a lot of personal problems I have been having. I guess I just took out my frustrations on people on this board. I happened on this board, saw how people argued with each other and just joined in. But, I don't want to do that anymore, because I am really not like that. I want to apologize to Lisac especially, it seems like I was sort of picking on her. Also any others I offended. Let me start over. My real name is Linda and I live in NJ. I have 5 chidren. I enjoy watching Regis & Kelly in the morning before I leave for work. I love Regis (hence my screen name). I have watched Kelly on All My Children for years, so I was happy when they picked her for co-host. I guess that's all I really wanted to say. I'm watching the show now, hope to discuss it with you all later.

Its very nice to meet you, my name is Monica ( too bad I cant think of a more exciting screen name) This is a great idea to start fresh, I think its possible for all of us to get along, to agree to disagree in a friendly manner, and if not then lets just ignore who we dont like or agree with. Wow 5 kids, that must keep you busy, I am single, getting ready to start a graduate program so I am not sure if I will have kids myself. It is really nice to meet you, maybe if we all introduce ourselves we can find some common ground

Monica, Nice to meet you too. You are starting a graduate program? How exciting for you. What are you going for? My oldest daughters boyfriend is also starting his graduate program. His major is chemistry and physics? I think. Yes 5 children do keep me busy, but they also keep me happy.

wow chem and physcics? those are very hard classes, or they were for me and I took the very basic ones LOL. My major is Speech Pathology, I did my undergrad at UF and graduated this past December with my B.S degree, I am now waiting to see where I am accepted at for the grad program, I am on pins and needles waiting...I havent decided what area that I want to work in, I would like to focus on children who have had cochlear implants and/or adults with alzheimers and strokes. My grandmother has had a few strokes and I really like and appreciate the speech therapist helping her. I just wish I had gone to school years ago, I am 34 and started school much later than the norm. How old are you kids if that is not too personal? Have you ever gone to super soap weekend? I have been an amc fan for around 20 years, I really miss some of the past characters, Ednid, Mona, Nina and cliff, angie and Jesse and of course Greg and Jenny

My daughters boyfriend is VERY smart, those classes aren't hard for him at all. He has been accepted into Penn State for his graduate work. No, it's not too personal about my kids ages. They are 22, 18, 14, 11, and 8. And yes, they are ALL with the same husband! My oldest daughter is in college going for her bacheleors in business admin. My middle two are in high school my 18 yr. old graduates in June and will start college in the fall. My younger two are in grade school. It is very interesting having kids at all different levels like that. I have never been to a super soap weekend, I don't get out much! I miss some of the past characters too, and Greg & Jenny were my favorites!

Hi Linda,
Good morning to you.
My name is Jane and I live in TX. I am probably the oldest poster here. My first grandchild and only grandson is finishing his first year of college. You really have your "hands full" with your five children and a job, don't you. I had all three of my children within 33 months. At present they are 40, 41 (born the same day, a year apart, blew the hell out of the old wives tale you can't get pregnant while nursing) and 42. Two sons and a daughter, the 42 year old will soon turn 43.
I watched Regis and Kathy Lee from the beginning, however I am not a big fan of Kelly's. Probably my age, but I don't watch much anymore. I do miss Regis so I come here and read.

Jane,
Give it another try. Kelly is "wearing me down." Everything she did drove me crazy at first, but I am starting to see her strong points now, especially when she stands up to Regis. She knows some of the guests' backgrounds really well, so she complements Regis since he doesn't have a clue. I don't usually watch the guests, but I have noticed when I watch that she relates to some of the guests well. I'm hoping her annoying habit of talking in superlatives will be broken soon, but in the meantime I'm enjoying the show and giving it a chance. Can't give up on Reege!

Hello Reege,
Or should I say Linda? My name is Sandy. In some of the posts, I refer to myself as SmashingSandy, but since the new board came about, there isn't room for all of it, so I put Just Sandy. Same person.
Welcome. I also have Five children. It does tend to take up a lot of time, doesn't it?
My youngest is graduating from College in May. I honestly thought this day would never come.
I hope that your personal problems have settled down some now.
I think it is great that you want to start over. That is a refreshing idea. Thank you Sandy

Hi. My name is jean and i am from a small town in Mich. Nice to meet you all.. I like Regis because I don't think he takes himself too seriously. I wish the same could be said for some of the other talk show hosts. I need all the laughs I can get. I am care giver for elderly parent.

I gave it another try. At first I could not stand Kelly. Watched it, and rather than complain on a daily basis, I switched the channel. Didn't watch it for several months.....actually switched to Martha. Then I started coming here to read...and began to miss the show. So I swtiched back and I agree completely. Kelly is doing better, and I'm beginning to really like her. So I will continue watching it again. Guess I needed a break. Anyway, Kelly is doing just fine.

Reege/Linda--thanks for the apology. It takes guts to write a post like that. What did you think of the show today?

Hi Linda,
This is a good idea for a thread. My name is Jan and I'm from Nebraska. I grew up in a really tiny town that is growing fast now, but we live in Omaha. I am married and have 3 sons. Their ages are 21, 20, and 17. Our two oldest have just graduated from tech school and now have jobs. Our oldest got his Assoc. degree in Machine Tool and Die and middle son received his in Computer Programming. Our youngest is a Junior in high school. Our middle son just moved into an apartment with a kid he went to tech school with.
I have watched AMC for 20 plus years and Gregg and Jenny and Jesse and Angie were some of my favorite characters too. It was good seeing Jesse this summer, he was comical as an angel.
I was opposite of you, I liked Kelly and didn't care one way or another about Regis. I didn't like Kathie Lee at all, so just got to know Regis b/c I found out Kelly was on Live! I really like the both of them now, and think they make a great team in spite of what others think and say.
I think too that we all can find a common thread with each other, and I'm glad you started this. I'm tired of all the nastiness and name calling too, but I don't stay away either, LOL Sometimes I wonder if those who post all the negative stuff about Kelly really mean to sound so hateful. I think if I could see them saying that stuff to me, that maybe I would see something different than total comtempt for Kelly. Maybe they really ARE just having fun with it, but it doesn't come across that way in just words. Well I better stop now, or I'll get everyone at each other's throats again.
Jan

Lisac and others, sorry it took so long to post back but after work I babysat my neighbors 2 yr. old (AM I NUTS!) and then last night I went to my 11 yr. old sons school and the parents played volleyball against the kids. Of course the parents lost and the kids were estatic! I enjoyed the show yesterday, although I also though I agree something was "off" with Carrot Top. Who knows, maybe he was just having a bad day. Well, I have to start waking my kids up for school. I'll be back when the show comes on.
