The opening segment of Entertainment Tonight has a "behind the scenes" look at Live's pre Daytime Emmy party. They mentioned that Kelly's dress was by John Russell(sp?) and Kelly said that she had even gotten a pedicure "like a real girl".
They show Kelly from the front and the side and the dress doesn't fit properly in the torso area. My guess is that she's braless and she didn't the outline of her breasts showing. Probably, due to the flimsy fabric, they could not sew the cups in the dress as is often done. Too bad because otherwise she looked great.
They also showed the back of Joy's Vera Wang dress. Beautiful.
There was a statement by Dick Clark Productions where they said the Lucci incident was unfortunate because the cameraman was on her. Said something to the effect that this was the result of live TV. They said nothing about apologizing to Lucci.
Of course, JMO

dick clark is so rude. he was yelling at people before the show started and during the commercials to keep their comments short and stuff. i understand that he was trying to make the show go smoothly but he is one rude guy. theres no need to embarass people in front of a whole audience. by the way, i didnt see his foolish show nominated

I am tired of Dick Clark. He has alot of shows his company owns on Televison so I guess that is why they put up with him. Bob Barker was ok but is that the best MC they could get. And why were the Olson twins on? Dick clark should have been a gentleman and aplolgized to Susan Lucci.

Scoops,
Hi! Dork? Haven't heard that expression in ages. Maybe Dick Clark issued a private apology to Lucci. I hope so. Can't get mad at Dick Clark. I was a kid and watched him on the orignial American Bandstand from Philly right before the Mickey Mouse Club. Those were happy days!

Scoops,
Celebrity update. Saw Calista Flockhart and Harrison Ford on 33rd St. and 2nd Avenue the other day. Talk about being thin! This girl wins the prize.

Mia,
The first time I was in NYC I saw Ray Davies of The Kinks.
The second time I saw Rosie O'Donnell's hairdresser, David Evangelista.
How do you get all the luck?
RnKnS
coming to NYC this summer, would love to hear any spots you know of for celebrity watching...

If you ask me, it was the audience's fault for screaming ridiculously when they heard the name "Susan" and didn't wait for the last name! Also, what I think is strange, --whoever is in charge of the music, should be given the winners ahead of time--that way no musical errors can occur. I always assumed this was done.
Susan is a professional--I doubt it is bothering her as much as it is bothering some of her fans!!!

Hi Lisa, think the fans are going crazy here, you should see her official website. I think they are on their fourth petition to have Dick Clark give a formal televisied apology. How do we know that Dick did not give a private apology? Yes it was horrible how the emmys were conducted this year, but its over, time to move on ( I am only saying that to her over zealous fans)

RnKnS,
No trick to it! I grew up here and never had this luck. Probably, because like the rest of us, I walk too fast and never looked at people's faces. Now that I am back, I walk fast but, now, look at the faces. (May have something to do with 9/11.)
Not too long ago, I saw a bunch of them because I saw some paparazzi and I stood with them for an 1 1/2 hours until "celebrities" existed from a party Robert Redford was hosting for his Sundance Film Festival. This time...I was coming out of a store and there they were standing on the corner!
My suggestion to you would be: SoHo, Tribeca, West Side (by Regis' neighborhood), Saks Fifth Avenue, Bergdorf Goodman, Henri Bendel, Barney's (on Madison Avenue), Madison Avenue (in general because that where many designers have their boutiques) and, during lunch, any area where there's a "top" restaurant (Le Cirque, etc.). On a nice day, even, Central Park!
Look for them dressed just like us or, at times, even worse.
