Kellys recollection of Fear Factor was a little(and I say this nicely) off. She said that 2 guys advanced but actually the winner was determined last night.

And she also said it was for $50,000 but it was for $100,000.

Maybe she had a few too many martinis before the show? LOL

Also, there was no egg/baby duckling egg this time. There were 2 hot peppers, because the guy that won
the 100,000$ had to eat them on his turn and was dancing around afterwards for a bit because his mouth and lips were burning so bad.

Thanks MG, I forgot to add that she said the wrong "foods" if you want to call them that.

The baby duck was from a previous show that this particular man had already done. Its sad to say I do watch...my two boys love it. They think it is soooo cool that these people get paid to eat that stuff. (In their minds they think it actually tastes like chicken or something)

I didn't watch Fear Factor last night, but, in Kelly's defense, I don't think she got the entire story out...she said 2 guys advanced (was that to the finals, maybe?) and then continued her story when Regis interrupted. I never heard her say that they didn't pick a winner last night....

Kelly should get her facts right before she goes blabbing it on the air.

Skeeter, she said 2 guys advanced and that was that. Maybe she didn't realize the show was on for an extra half hour. But they did get a "champion" last night.

I WAS saying this in Kellys defense. God forbid she do something wrong. A few "ladies" on this board would have and have had field days with it.

Makes you wonder, doesn't it?

I ejoyed most of host chat today, but I found the whole Fear Factor thing so utterly ridiculous. I kept asking myself why she was watching it, and then felt the need to give us a play by play--if we had wanted to watch it, we would have. She even took notes!! And by the sounds of things, she wasn't watching it too closely lol

I thought Regis asked if there was a winner, and she said that no, two advanced.

Yes, thats what I'm saying. SHe gave out the wrong info. I don't understand why she would bring it up, discuss it, but end up all wrong.

Oh well, maybe she just got carried away. (Not like her at all)

Lola ~ I wasn't jumping all over you. I hope you don't think I was!! I was just attempting to show another side, and, since I didn't watch the show, didn't know how to show the whole side! :) I know how some people will take the smallest thing about Kelly and blow it out of proportion....as I watch their host chat, I often wonder how I would tell about my entire evening in 10 minutes (if you allow 10 minutes for the other person)...you have to figure out a way to condense it. I hope this makes sense!!!

Skeeter, I didn't think that at all. I understand both sides. I just don't understand why she would bring it up if she didn't know what she was talking about. Now we all know I love Kelly, I just thought she made herself look a little not so good. Ha, good wording, I know.

I see both sides of it, thanks Skeeter, glad that is all cleared up.

<wipes forehead> ;)

Thanks...I was breaking into a sweat myself. Now I'd better go use up some of it and get to work!!

Maybe she was watching a taped version of the show?

I thought Kelly's account about Fear Factor was pretty good (except for the money part). I was saying the same thing about the aligators - LOL! And yes, they did have those damned eggs - yuk! I was gagging (didn't throw-up though)and my husband said "we don't have to watch this" and I kept saying I know, we should change it - but there we sat glued to it! LOL!
Regis said "what happened to the men?" and Kelly said "well, they advanced". She just got confused about the question.
Kelly is always so pressed for time getting a story in with Regis, that she has to speed chat through - hoping she won't be suddenly interrupted.

Regarding Fear Factor, Regis asked Kelly who won after she talked about the men having to eat all that gross stuff and she said that two men advanced. That was what exactly happened. Those two men went on to the last stunt with the two remaining women. :)

Jinh, there was no egg last night in the challenge, the only time an egg was shown was in a tape of the one guys last apperance on the show.

This is from the Fear Factor website....they have a recap of the whole show there.........

the four remaining men were being shown their second stunt,
which combined every gross stunt of the season into one! Each player
would lie down on The Wheel of Fear -- a spinning contraption bordered
by three colors: red, black and yellow. Whatever color the player's arrow
lands on would determine which table of "food" they have to run to and
eat from. On the Yellow Table: pig rectum, night crawlers and habanera
peppers. On the Black Table: fermented squid guts, cow brains and
Madagascar hissing cockroaches. On the Red Table: coagulated blood
balls wrapped in pig intestines, beetles and a buffalo testicle. The two
players who eat their smorgasbord the fastest will advance. Needless to
say, the guys were not thrilled. John took the first spin and landed on
red. He raced over to the table and began wolfing down blood balls,
testicle and beetles - which apparently spray some heinous substance
as soon as you bite into them.

Yep, you're right MG - I remember seeing the eggs - but it was from a previous show.
My head starts 'swimming' when I see that stuff - why I watch, I'll never know!

LOL!

Thanks for clearing it up.
P.S. I still think Kelly was watching the same way we were - 'with one eye closed'.

I did the same thing, espicially when that egg was shown.I pulled the corner of a blanket up over my eyes.I just couldnt watch it again or hear it...I started singing over that part.My husband thought I was crazy.LOL.
I know what you're saying, because I have to watch it too!I even watched it over the last ever episode of ally(i did tape it though).lol

I just have one question... hasn't anyone ever watched the golden globes? They have wine and champagne on the tables and
everyone drinks before, during and after, I guess GG winners are classless too, I mean they only go on to win academy awards
and make 20 million a picture... but of course drinking and presenting or doing an acceptance speech is wrong!

I think I may be drunk... I totally posted my above comment on the wrong thread! I was responding to posters who
felt Kelly should of not drank until after she presented! Sorry the above post makes no sense, but I guess I forgot
to add OJ to my vodka this morning!
