Let's just ignore the negative "ladies". They can just rap to each other.

Good morning Dee? Are you new here? I like your idea, but according to them, they already "ignore" US.....although I haven't seen any evidence of that! lol. Enjoy the show today.

Hi Linda. I'm a lurker. I answered a thread awhile back regarding who I thought should co-host. Enjoy the show -- I always do!

Hi Dee!
Are you new here or are you DKLA?
If you are new then welcome aboard!I just love your idea but since we are SO fascinated with
the negative "ladies" then how are we suppose to do that?lol
I have a feeling though that if we actually ignored them, they wouldn't have any reason to come here!
(that's a good thing though...lol)
Have a great day!

Hi Dee! Nice to have you posting here! They DID conjure up a funny picture of themselves for me though! Posting to themselves because they agree with themselves! Oh well, time to let that go and get on with something else.

Thanks, ledhead. Dave Chappelle is a funny guy. I wondered why Andy picked that tie with that suit though---hehehehe. Have a swell day.

This Top 10 List about "geri" is very funny....and I don't even know who she is. Has she visited the Regis and Kelly Board?
Welcome, Dee.....I enjoyed your list too and wondered if you had seen "Barbershop" since you listed Ice Cube.
Also, just a note, I saw "The Hours" the other day and one of the previews was for a Kirk/Michael/Cameron Douglas movie (three generations) coming up this (?) spring and I noticed Bernadette Peters is playing Michael's wife. So we probably can figure on Bernadette as co-host sub for at least a day as she will be promoting this, and I believe she is doing something big on Broadway in the near future, too.
Have a good day!

So RnKnS, did you like The Hours? It looks like it'd be a good movie! Probably a chick flick though as my guys would call it.
Hubby and I saw the previews to Gangs of New York when we went to see About Schmidt. I really like DeCaprio (sp?), for some reason I can't seem to think of his first name. Starts with an L though, doesn't it? Is it Leo or Leonard? Somehow neither of those sounds quite right.

Jan,
Yes, I thought The Hours was wonderful....definitely could appeal to men as well as ladies. Depends on the guy, I guess. A lot of times I'll see a movie for the performances, and I wasn't disappointed here!
Gangs of NY and About Schmidt are two that I want to see. If you like Leonardo, you would like Catch Me If You Can.

Hubby doesn't mind seeing a good chick flick with me, just my sons are that way, lol. We just don't normally get to movies that much, and most of the time don't see them until they're on the Oldies rack. But hubby will go if I make it known that I really want to see a particular movie.
I really REALLY wanted to see About Schmidt though, as some of it was filmed in my part of town. As I think I've mentioned before, lol, I remember when Nicholson was here, they did a segment on the news about him filming at our neighborhood Dairy Queen and Baker's Supermarket (a grocery chain that's just in Omaha, not even Lincoln). At the time, I didn't know it was going to be such a big deal. But I'm glad it is.

It's fun when they film near you!
We've had lots of movies shot around here..."A River Runs Through It" for one.
Funny about that...my grandparents and mom were good friend with a family that was portrayed in the movie. What was interesting though, is that there was a charater added (to that family) that never existed...made some people that knew the real truth kind of angry.
Oh well, artistic license...and all...
Now Canada is getting all the business that we used to, because it's much less expensive to shoot up there.

RnKnS: Yes, I like Ice Cube. I have not seen Barbershop yet but I loved "Friday" that he produced and starred in.

Jinh,
Speaking of Montana, I remember an adventure book I read to my kids once about Montana: Rescue: Josh Maguire. I think the story was set in and around Bozemann.
Hubby and I took the kids up there one summer for his cousin's daughter's wedding. They live northwest of Great Falls. Well of course on the way we stopped for a few days in the Black Hills, and of course Yellowstone NP. That was a great trip! One of our best with the kids!
Anyway, about the book, at one point the hero of the story rode a motorcycle into was it Garden City (just outside of Yellowstone NP, close to Mammoth Springs) and stopped at a convenient store (only one in the town I think) and bought supplies. I remember one of my boys saying, "We were in that store when we stayed too long in the motel pool and had to go buy bread and baloney b/c the restaurants were all closed!" They thought it was pretty neat when the exact store was mentioned in a book.
Montana is so beautiful! In the mountainous part anyway. We also drove thru the northeastern part of the state, miles and miles of dust and sagebrush. Now I know where all the oldtime westerns were filmed! Livingston was my favorite town though, and Bozemann was a close second.

Yes, western MT is beautiful - the northeast is pretty flat and yucky.
It will be fun for you to see "About Schmidt"! I hear it's sooo good! It hasn't been here yet, we're like you about going to movies though...We only go if it's something that really needs to be seen on a big screen. Otherwise we wait.
I have arthritis in my back, and it's so hard to sit that long - need to keep moving around.
Have a good day!
