This is an unmoderated board. People should say what they want, minus the swearing, of course. I don't like Kathy-Lee, I don't really care if she goes or not, as I don't watch that show. I just never realized how much I didn't like her until I watched "intimate portrait of Kathy-Lee". Yuck, someone who thinks they're hollier than thou, and then turn around and be a homewrecker. It didn't say that on intimate portrait of course, but I have seen an interview with Astrid Gifford(Frank's ex) who said that she was totally destroyed when Kathy moved in on her husband....and Kathy was surprised when he cheated on her? I'm sorry to say, I saw a couple of Regis and Kathy shows after intimate portrait and she made me sick, so self centred and irritating. I like Regis, maybe next time he'll get a partner that compliments his persona.

Yep, glad she's leaving! They definetly need some very new blood. I don't see that much has changed since their beginning. Same old sayings, mannerisms and jokes, if you want to call them that. I always find the show much more entertaining and interesting when either one of them is gone and they have a replacement regardless of who it is.

I heard that Joy Behar would like the job. I don't know if this is true or not but I think she would be very good. She's funny, which would be a change in itself, she's not self involved it seems and she's got her feet on the ground. I think she might have something to offer and a good rapour (sp) with Reege. I like down to earth people like him and his wife, they haven't let money go to their head like Kathie Mee. I really respect someone that doesn't let success and money change them.

The show had longevity because of both Regis and Kathie Lee. There's no way it would've been on the air this long if Regis had to carry Kathie Lee.

Kathie Lee invites controversy, so it's very easy for many people to throw stones at her. It's also fair to acknowledge that she gave ammunition to her critics.

Personally, I must respect the positives that each and every person brings to the table. I can't overlook the fact that what Regis and Kathie Lee do every day, as a team, unscripted, during the first 15-20 minutes of their show looks easy and inconsequential, but, in reality, it's very, very tough to pull off.

Whether you hate Kathie Lee or not, she and Reege have chemistry, due most likely to their very opposite personalities. They also seem to understand each other very well. And, quite possibly, there's an underlying friendship.

The View, Rosie O'Donnell and other shows have openly admitted that they've tried to copy Reege and Kathie Lee's very successful opening format. It's the essence of what Reege and Kathie Lee consistently deliver that their peers want to bottle and sell. That's the ultimate compliment.

It's going to be a different show without Kathie Lee, but there's opportunity for it to be better. However, it'll only be successful if they select the right person who can CONSISTENTLY match wits with Reege in a style that's non-threatening to him and to the audience. It doesn't matter how successful and funny that new person is solo or with other people right now, the key will be how well that person can communicate effectively and effortlessly with Reege--on camera, every single day--and how they relate as a team, to a national t.v. audience. It can be done, but it won't be easy.

I suspect that deep down inside, Reege, himself, is questioning the future success of his talk show. As a professional, he knows that the show's continued success is dependent upon Kathie Lee's replacement. And, right now, he probably has no idea who that person will be.

Oh come on! What Regis and Kathie Mee did on that show anyone off the streets could have done. It must have been the biggest break either of them have ever had and the easiest money they could have possibly ever have made. They were lauging all the way to the bank.

Talking for 15 or 20 minutes about what you did the night before, not to mention about your kids and family life, who couldn't pull that off I wonder? I think that there was little talent if any involved there.

Hopefully they will get someone with some talent and who makes you laugh. And not go on and on and on about the same stuff that these two did for another 15 years!

I wonder if you work for the show or are a relative! Can't imagine you could think so indepth about this and make it sound like there is actual work involved for these two.

I wasn't aware that this board existed until I stumbled on the website name and decided to browse. Reege & K.Lee was a talk show that I had, at least, watched for an entire hour recently so I browsed here. The board topic was too irresistable and, well, you know the rest.

I'm sorry to disappoint you but
1) I've never been in the t.v. business;
2) I'm not a relative of either Reege or K.Lee and I've never met or talk to them
3) I have no financial stake in any t.v. show

I'm in private business and do hundreds of public speaking engagements to large audiences every year. I usually talk for about an hour and engage in Q&A with the audience for an additional 30 minutes. In retrospect, I probably should have noted this in my first post in order to put my message in perspective. I apologize. I also write. I happen to love my job very much.

It wasn't difficult, in my line of work, to understand what makes this show run. As far as the huge amounts of money that all talk show hosts make, I agree that it's a ridulous amount, however, it's all relative. The talk shows make an extraordinary amount of profit from the sponsors. What Reege & K. Lee are paid is cheap, relatively-speaking, to the network.

Most people think that anyone can do Reege & K. Lee's job UNTIL they'll call upon to perform and then have their performance measured for success by ratings every single day. The producers of this show could take advantage of a golden opportunity and test regular folks who think that they or anyone else can do it.

It would be an eye-opener. Public speaking is the #1 fear in America and in front of a t.v. camera, the fear factor rises substantially. The ability to relate to a co-host and a t.v. audience daily will not make it any easier--even for those seasoned professionals who are presently in the t.v. business.

On numerous occassions I, too, wanted to correct various misspellings as well as poor grammar, poor sentence structure, along with what I believed to be totally ignorant use of the English language. It drove me nuts to read some of these posts. All right I will cautiously admit to be somewhat anal-retentive. ( I hope I don't get that thrown back in my face guys - please ) What I have come to realize is that some of the people may not be American, but rather from another country, and thereby struggling with the American language. That is the only reason that I could come up with. The only ones who still get to me are the ones who posted on the Donny & Marie board who claim to be studying to be doctors ( they also post here). I think it's frightening that these people could be in Med School, our future doctors, of all things, and not know basic sentence structure. Even if they are from other countries, studying here, English and grammar should be of some importance. I know I am not perfect and I, too, make my mistakes, but I HOPE I've got the basics down.

I am very sad that Kathy Lee is leaving. I think she was a fantastic co-host and I enjoyed her every day. I disagree with her discussing her children on national TV. However, that is my opinion. Whether anyone wants to believe it, she made that show. People tuned in just to see what was going on with her. She attracted people. That is what makes a star.

Did you notice on today's show (even though it was a rerun I had never seen this interview) how she kept on trying to get Denzel Washington to say that it was OK for his children to want to be in show business. Every time someone who has children is on the show she has to ask "do any of your children have the acting bug ?" When they all say that they would never want their child in show business - she is dumbfounded. Is this her way of trying to validate her own actions of pushing her children into the business. She seems to be searching far and wide for someone to agree with her.

First off BEA, me. Roxy, and Hunter are all different people, we share the same ip number because we all have the same provider. A woman of your age should have the common sense to know that, since you proclaim you think you are older.
Second of all, you want us to produce facts, when you, yourself aren't producing any. Ok, whats up with that? You are the one telling us to prove ourselves, so I think since you require that, you need to show us some proof of things she has done to be proud of.
Granted years ago Kathie Lee wasn't so into herself and acting a fool. So that is why she has been on the show for years. It has been just recently that she has turned into a annoying woman, out for herself. And of course there are so many other things negative to say about her, but who has the time.
I don't know about her giving to charities in the past, but the past couple of years she has had to put her name and children on every thing she does so that the public knows. That is not the true meaning of charity. She is just trying too hard to keep her name good, that it is having the opposite effect.

I personally don't care much for Kathie Lee. That is my opinion. I watch the show because of Regis. He is such a doll! I'm glad that she's leaving. Maybe she's a different person off-camera. I hate to put anyother human being down but I can't hold back with KLG. Her leaving is the best thing I've heard in a long time. Now I can start watching LIVE again, as about a year and a half ago I just couldn't take her anymore. I know very few in my area that can. I'm surprised the show wasn't cancelled by now due to her mouth. Don't let the door hit her in the backside in June.
Finally where does she get off bringing up the theater so much. Just ask anyone who got stuck seeing her or compare ticket availability for her compared to any other performances. To be fair I heard she was OK but OK doesn't make it on the stage. Just fade away Kathy Lee like an old soldier, youve overstayed your welcome. By the way Regis and Gelman, your invited to the shore for a celebration party that we are throwing down here. I have watched "Live" for about 8 yrs.
I've enjoyed some shows and others I have turned off. I enjoy it because it is a clean
show and whatever else you might say about KLG, she is entertaining. If you don't like her, don't watch the show. Whether she leaves
or stays my world will not stop.

I wonder if it may have occurred to anyone that the success of the show could also be attributed to Michael Gelman. The show went national at around the same time that he took over the Executive Producer job from the previous producer Steve Ober or Oberman. I think the show is a "team effort". Like any ball team you need a good manager - to deal with the talent. There is always a talent waiting in the wings to be discovered and cultivated.

I agree with Sandy, what Regis & KLG do every day looks easy but I'm sure it's not. I LOVE Regis, he makes me laugh and I think he is a nice person, a regular guy. I could'nt be happier about his success. As for KLG, I think she is very talented but her personality is a little over the top! A little less talking about herself would be great. But I think she'll survive no matter what anyone thinks of her. Basically she has a good heart and that is important. I would like to see Joy (Regis' wife) take over for KLJ.

chula i agree 100% if she didnt talk about her son and daughter so much life would be better for them. i think it could possibly be a form of child abuse. and now rosie is doing the same thing. dont they realize the harm there doing.if the childern were older and wanted to be tv stars thats one thing , but please kathy and rosie think about what your doing too your kids. i understand that people talk about there children but have some responsibilty, dont exploit them for your own benifit. there has to be something else you can talk about.

I know Rosie talks about her kids but not in the same tone as Kathie MEE. Rosie tells the good and a lot of the bad which can make for some cute light-hearted stories. On the other hand all you hear from KMG is how WONDERFUL her children are - just nauseating. Rosie NEVER pushes her children into the spotlight. I have never even seen so much as a photograph of her children - you surely can't say he same for the Gifford children can you. It has gotten so bad now Cody is suing the tabloid THE EXAMINER because of disparraging remarks they made about his behavior. Instead of leaving it alone to go away all they are doing is calling even more attention to that poor child. Kathie Lee "mother of the Year" ? How about "The Mother From Hell". Child abuse comes in many disguises.

I agree with Roxy...at least Rosie protects her kids from the public. Rosie doesn't have her and her children on every magazine cover known to man. Kathie should know that it's a rough business, and she should teach her son how to grow a thick skin now and not sue everybody that has something bad to say about him. I am so glad she is finally leaving. I don't like her. She brags to much about herself and her family. Besides without the show she would be nothing. Who dresses her? Her cloths don't look good on her. She dresses like a teeenager. It looks terriable.

I started watching this show when it first came on the air or when the two of them first started working together. It was really enjoyable and I liked both of them especially KLG. I think when things started taking going downhill with KL was when she got pregnant the first time and then even got much worse when she had the baby. It was pretty tiring hearing all her stories day after day about the baby, as if she was the only woman in the world who this had ever happened too. And then all the talk about Frank and what a "love machine" or something similar he was. Oh brother! IT just got worse and worse. And then after her second child, she came back looking very different and slimmer than before and then she just fell more and more in love with herself. You can tell by the way she acts that she thinks she is god's gift to men. And she just got worse and worse. I guess that's what happens when you don't have honest people around you too tell you or....you just don't listen!

I stopped watching for years and then one day surfing through the channels happened onto the show again. I wasn't surprised by what I saw, I had heard a few things about her and have never met anyone that didn't say "I can't stand her" when her name is mentioned anywhere.

She dresses totally different and so unprofessionally. I guess she thinks her body is great and wants to show it off! And then I saw her without a bra and she had a sweater on. I couldn't believe that someone on the show wouldn't speak up about this. She looked terrible and very saggy. I'm her age and a very young 46 also but I do believe in dressing a little more conservatively on a daytime show.

Personally I don't think she can act, sing, or is funny whatsoever! And....I'm not jealous. Of her, what is there to be jealous of? I have a wonderful family and a loving husband and that's all that matters to me and is the most important thing in the world. I can't act, sing or be a comedian and I don't care!

I like to watch people who are down to earth and most are that are on television. I can't think of another person who acts or talks like she does and who makes people dislike them as much.
