Hi everyone. I'm sure you've probably all heard about the Windows of Hope foundation, and the Dine For America program tonight. I saw Michael Lominico on Larry King the other night talking about it, and I think it's a great cause! (he was the executive chef at Windows on the World in the World Trade Center) Anyway, many restaurants around the country (and probably around the world) have agreed to donate a portion of their proceeds tonight to the firefighters and police officers widows and childrens fund. I went to the website, and you can get a list of restaurants in your area. We're going to do it tonight - I just thought I'd pass if along. I know it seems like such a little amount, but if everyone eats out tonight, alot of money will be donated!!! Check out the site at www.dineforamerica.com
I hope it's ok that I"m posting off topic here - I know how concerned we've all been about wanting to help. This is a great and easy way! (and some of the places are inexpensive, I noticed that Friendly's restaurants around the county are participating!! And plus, it's a night off from cooking! Yay!)
