Hope I'm not being too brazen for starting a new thread, but the old one was getting so lengthy to download. LiveFan, you said you would share other stories of shows you have visited. Have you ever been at the taping of a sitcom? I was once in the audience of a local comic filming his routine for the Comedy Channel. When something was flubbed, he would have to it over, and we were forced to laugh at the same (pretty lame) jokes again and again. Wonder if that happens at live audience sitcom tapings, too.
The only TV show I ever saw being taped was "Hullabaloo" back in the 60's. As I recall, Chad and Jeremy were the featured performers. This doesn't date me too much, does it? Does anyone else remember that show? If not, surely you can look it up in an ancient history book..

Hey Molewatcher-Just as I was reading your post I was thinking, boy does that date you or what! Hullabaloo-holy cow that's an oldie. So old that I barely remember it. Was it some type of dance show or somethin?

Hey, SweetSue! You be alittle kinder to your elders or you'll get a good spanking! (oops--guess these days, that would be a "time-out"). lol
Actually, on Hullabaloo the audience didn't dance. They had a regular group of dancers (groovy chicks and swingin' guys). And no, they didn't dance the minuet, smarty-pants...
There were other similar shows--Shindig; Hollywood a Go Go; Where The Action Is; Happenin'68, to name a few. BTW, I was on a Jr. High class trip in '65, so I'm not THAT old..
Next week, I'll talk about my personal experiences in the Spanish-American War..

you name Hollywood a go go and Happening '68 were these local shows from california? I never heard of them until I read your post! Who hosted these shows and who were the guest bands. What station were they on. Also who remembers Zacharly's show on UHF channel 68 from New Jersey. He always had the Lovin' Spoonful on!
Teri Garr was a Hullaballo dancer, and I loved Paul Revere and the Raiders who were the house band for Where the Action is!
Were the Hullaballos also performing when you saw the show live, they all had waist length blonde hair.

Okay Molewatcher, I get your drift! Your not THAT old huh? LOL! I'm racking my brain.....but I seem to remember.....way way back when.....when that show was on the air, LOL. Were there girls jumping up and down doing the "jerk" I think that's whats they called it in the "olden" days (hahahaha) with these big long pony tails? I can just barely remember since I was a tot then, just kidding! I seem to remember some of those shows though.

Okay, so what happened during the SA war anyway???? LMAO
