Morning Sue, lol.

Hope you don't mind I started a new thread to carry on your discussion about GDL, Steve, Jillian, etc.

This way those that "can't stand your enthusiasm" for the show can use that ignore button.

Even though I count myself a fan of the show, I didn't start out as one. Thought they talked too much and over each other and didn't know what to make of Jill. I can only compare it to the Fox & Friends morning/news show. Used to hate that show! Now I can't start the day without my E.D. and company fix. It's kind of like GDL, a whole bunch going on all the while giving you great news/entertainment. Speaking of which . . . this hot off the presses from Fox & Friends: Sex & the City, Mr. Big coming back for a wedding on the last episode! Could it be?

I see big things for GDL as soon as it hits its stride nationally. There is no comparison to Live! because they are two different shows. As far as Jim Carrey's comment, that was a "joke" that he has used before. All the guests get paid scale. Some give a better interview than others who make it clear they'd rather be anywhere else but. Live! before Kelly drew top shelf stars and they still do. Although I have noticed some that used to come on the show no longer do. Probably nothing to sell, lol. Madonna has been on before even though it was a remote. This time around was a "must" for her to get out publicly as much as possible and clear her name to sell, sell, sell.

Sue, I love your enthusiasm! Please don't 'curb it.' lol
Since I don't see the shows every day, I appreciate your comments and updates--keep 'em coming.

Steve as Larry David? Well, now that you mention it . . . . lol

Good morning.

I'm with G, Susan. Don't "curb" anything. lol

Sex and the City sounds like it's going to be a great season....can't wait. And....could it be that Fox knows something? Hmm, I don't know....sounds like a teaser to me. Although, Big and Carrie are good together.

On the subject of Kelly being partnered with Reege? Ugh, don't make me start. lol Let's just say that Reege deserves an Emmy just for sitting next to Kelly each morning.....lol ("Joy, the weekend is over already? But I don't want to go back to work......") lol

* Did all the GDL fans receive anything in their mail?

** Oh, there is only ONE Larry David. (hmm, but you may be on to something. lol)

I hope you don't mind me making a comment about SATC.

Although I thoroughly enjoy the "chemistry" between Carrie and "Big" (I'd like him even for myself), and I think he's Carrie's "great love", I don't think they'll be the two getting married! I think it'll be Samantha and Richard.

I think they'll leave us "hanging" by leading us to believe that Carrie will be moving to Napa with "Big" or having "Big" returning to the City! That way, if they ever have a reunion show(s), HBO will be able to draw the fans and finally put an ending to this modern day Cinderella story!

My officemate's daughter works for HBO and even they don't know how it's going to end.

Hi Mia,

Your take on Sex,etc. sounds plausible. It'll be fun to see how it pans out.

Hey, how're things in the City? PR Day Parade and Tony's all in one day? Any celebrity sightings?

Hi Gail,

I can't imagine why they would have both on the same day! The parade is big and attracts many who linger way past the time it's over. The Tony's are at Radio City only a block away from the parade route!

Security must be making big $$ working overtime. I am east and staying away from the area.

Recent celebrity sitings.....Larry David at FAO several weeks ago. Donna Karan on Madison Ave. and the same day Dominick Dunne walking on Third Ave.

Whenever I hear "Puerto Rican Day Parade" I can't help but laugh about that Seinfeld episode, lol. I know they shelved it for awhile but I've seen it since several times, lol.

What was Larry David doing? Buying toys? By himself? Can you tell I'm a fan?

Thanks for the info, Mia.

lol

Just saw that episode a few weeks ago...forgot how funny it was.

Tony's tonight....looks like one of Regis's cohosts for Kelly is looking good for an award. "Krakow" seems to be in front, but Bernadette Peters seems to be having problems with her singing. Heard some reviews and they weren't very positive...said her voice was real weak.

V, The Post has the gal from "Hairspray" winning the Tony. Also says poor Bernadette is too weak to carry the tunes from Gypsy. I feel bad for her because she is a great singer, probably just miscast. I know she's missed many shows and the audiences are just a bit annoyed. Guess I would be too if I shelled the $ out to see a "Bernadette."

Also remember reading that theatre performers will be very upset if they "give" it to Bernadette just because . . .

Let's just hope we don't see Bernadette on Live again anytime soon. She is one of the worst fill-in hosts that they have.

I think Bernadette is just, well, "Bernadette," lol.

She's not one of my favs as co-host but I do enjoy her in small doses. I like the fact that it appears that Reege really enjoys her.

He didn't enjoy her husband's John Deere hat though, lol.

Larry David was wearing sneakers, jeans and a navy blue jacket (similar in style to Members Only). He was with a little girl which seemed to be somewhere between the ages of 8 and 11.

Would never have seen him if I didn't turn around to say something to my SIL. They were several feet behind us. They paid for something by the registers located in the stuffed animal section near the Fifth Ave. entrance.

Saw them again in the plaza outside FAO eating ice cream.

From Entertainment Weekly:

"Big and Aidan pop up again, and ''Sex'' exec producer Michael Patrick King teases, ''There will be a wedding or two.''"

Today on Fox & Friends, it was mentioned that everyone would have a "love" interest.

That's a lotta love! lol
