View Full Version : Glad the Ice Pick is gone.......
...Thank you, Regis and Gelman. (I guess somone needed the extra practice pronouncing the words lol) Next, let's say a good-bye to the whole word of the day idea (& the dating game).....I know Reege said something about Labor Day, but please, make it sooner. lol
Haven't been watching much lately, but did catch the whole host chat this morning. Have to say, kelly is getting worse with the scratching and picking habit of hers. My gosh, she is really uncomfortable sitting there. And it's not only playing with her hair....she picks at those note cards to no end. lol
It was nice seeing Shania...an interesting interview. Also, very pretty and a great voice. (and, she sat without fidgeting-----wow!) lol
......LOL.....guess I saw a whole other show.
Enjoy yourselves!

OK, I noticed Kelly fidgeting with the buttons on her shirt today- of course, we should yell at her for that. But if she didn't fix the buttons, we should yell at her for that too.
Enjoyed host chat. Not sure why V's giving all the credit to the ice pick being gone to Regis and Gelman- KELLY and REGIS are the ones to say they didn't like the whole idea- it's GELMAN who loves it. So thanks goes to KELLY and Regis.
lol
Actually, I think, the very first people who recognized the Ice Pick "had to go" was some of us. lol

Hey V, I'll second that, "glad the ice-pick is gone" -- now can't wait for the whole idiotic segment to be gone too.
Gelman, here's a new word of the day: NEWSCHAT -- the name given to the opening of LIVE! that used to be called HOST CHAT; the picking up of newsclippings and having Regis comment and Kelly nodding and muttering "amazing" at appropriate intervals.
Can you tell I miss the hostchat of old? lol
About the picking and tugging--today it was relentless. First the hair. Then it works its way down to the shirt, then to the cards, then to the sleeves, then to the shoes. Holy cow! Give it a rest Kelly. Let Regis have his 10 minutes of reading the news without you chewing the scenery!
Also a note to the stylist, please give Kelly pants with pockets. She has no clue what to do or how to stand without them! She is the most uncomfortable looking person I think I've ever seen on national TV.
btw, anybody see those dopey Marinelli's last night? Couldn't sit through it again, lol. I'm assuming it was the first episode?
Amazing race tonight--hope the clowns don't get the boot . . .
....LOL..............you sound so uncomfortable with yourself IMO...
PK...

Speaking of Word of the Day...
Does "Priggish" remind anyone of some??
;0))
PK
Well, the pocket thing was so obvious at the end of the show when the guy was picking his date. How hard is it to just stand? lol
Did anyone catch Regis' nails when he was opening Shania's CD's? Ugh.....please, whoever is reading this from Live! (and you know who you are lol), please sit Regis down and clip those long nails. They look awful. lol
G, we'll never get the hostchat back. As long as Regis has a partner who doesn't add some interesting stories I'm afraid it's going to be "newschat" for the remainder of Live!. But, we still have a few minutes of what Reege gives us.
Picking & tugging......Oy. So, you did see the pushing of the sleeves, the ripping of the card and the constant leg crossing and scratching of the ankles. (unless she was fixing her shoes....again). lol I'm with you G, it seems like she is so uncomfortable sitting there.....no one should be doing that much "fidgeting" in the short time she's on TV.
Forgot to mention the new wardrobe suppliers...Regis hasn't missed a beat.
Forgot about The Family......glad you reminded me about The Race tonight. The clowns and best friends are my favorites.
....must be a slow news day in your world....

Hmm... I thought Regis brought out the clippings because HE had little to share today..
DK... Didn't YOU hear Kelly telling more stories than Regis today?? He went to CT and watched the ball game, and THEN, sigh, told us about it, Who cares! I've hated the Yankees since their hey days in the 50s, LOL...
Kelly talked about the photo shoots yesterday - BOTH of them, and the young female photographer who shows her subjects how to pose all the while having the camera shooting... LOL... Even brought Regis in, and then mimiced him during their photo shoots... She had him cracked up, as well as the audience.. And we found out she is going to LA this weekend for the TGIF photo shoots..
Then she shared the info about the part Regis is supposed to play in Hope and Faith... Car Salesman... LOL, I wondered whether new or used.. Four scenes... Since he likes to get in and out, Kelly said he would be in, in, in, in and out...
;0))
PK wondering why ANYONE would visit a boring board, or watch a show that irritated them... Oh, yeah... I forgot..

<G, we'll never get the hostchat back.>
Of course, I say, "Thank God for that!!" I never enjoyed host chat the few times I saw it with Kathie Lee- now I LOVE it!
Didn't see the end of the show, but I can't stand just standing there either with nowhere to put your hands- I'd be fidgeting too. Glad to know Kelly is just like me in that respect.
LOL
Yes PK...I wonder if Gelman picked it out especially for "the three"...
..Sure does fit them to a tee!

Again, it really isn't hard to stand in front of people & speak, with confidence, without being a fidget. Geeze, that is touched on in Speech Class 101, isn't it? lol
I guess it all has to do with being comfortable with yourself, the material, or conversation, you're talking about....it just all boils down to confidence. Gosh, who wants to listen to someone jigging around like they have ants in their pants? lol Sorry, but IMO, Kelly is way too over-active sitting in that chair.

I would think that those NOT comfortable with what they are doing would sit or stand ramrod stiff and not be animated and work TO the audience.. That as I recall, IS taught in Speech 101..
Whatever, your opinion, of course, and you are welcome to it... Over, and over, and over, and over...
I saw an article on Jack and Ali the other day... LOL, seems this critic thinks Jack is the first of many "Ex Co-Hosts" for her... He is staid, and she is animated.. Curious, isn't it??

Maybe Kelly was itchin' to pole dance? lol. Would have loved to see the Shania interview....way too busy today. She is very well spoken and down to earth.
Good Lawrd, it's all too true...now that they've got me on the "watch" I notice every single time Regis, Gelman or a guest scratches, tugs, adjusts, waves their arms or hands, moves their foot, adjusts their shoe, touches their hair...and you know what Kelly Trashers?...THEY ALL DO IT!!! Every last single person fusses, touches, scratches, tugs, etc...
Why in the world can't you get over it?
If this is the best you can do to trash Kelly...then you're out of LUCK ladies...why can't you just go with the FACT that Kelly is doing really well?
Ratings are great, Kelly is doing many things and is SUCCESSFUL...GET OVER IT!!!

Kelly has done a superb job this week considering she has felt like hell. Her "fidgeting" doesn't bother me at all and I can't understand why it's such a big deal to a few on here. I do understand why you notice everything Kelly does though--you simply can't take your eyes off her! I'm the same way and I've read several different articles about her where the author has said that very same thing. She is gorgeous and her expressions are fun to watch and she is full of self-confidence. Kelly is definitely her own girl and very comfortable in her own skin. No doubt about it!
Cassandra, I see the complete opposite. Which, btw, doesn't make me, or you, a bad person. We just see two different people. (and please, stop with the excuses for Kelly. We went through just about all of them: she's pregnant, she's nursing, she was on maternity leave......now, it's that she felt like hell).
When I see someone playing with her hair (pushing it behind her ears, then pulling back), itching her arms, legs, playing with her blouse sleeves (pushing them up, then pulling them down) and then the constant new habit of crossing and un-crossing her legs, that does ring true of someone being very uncomfortable in their surroundings.
Perfect example was with Shania this morning. There's a woman that exudes self confidence on the stage and during an interview. My gosh, and she didn't scratch, tug or hair play during her entire interview. It can be done.....lol.
* And I realize Kelly does use her hands while talking.....all of the above is when she is just sitting listening to Regis or a guest speak. Again, it doesn't make her a bad person, I just feel as though a seasoned co-host should have some self control.
<<<< Kelly is definitely her own girl and very comfortable in her own skin. No doubt about it!>>>>
Really? Then why does she always wish she is as beautiful as the most recent guest, always wishing for bigger breasts (maybe during sweeps she'll get her wish?) and always (yes, always) commenting that she's so dumb?
Confident, she's not. IMO, of course. lol
I guess I saw a different show today then some on this board!
I love the host chat and the interviews!
Yes, Kelly did fix her buttons, but she had to otherwise her shirt would have popped open. And, before you say somthing like well the shirt is too small then......not it wasn't. She only fixed the button one time. As for her picking at everything else, who really notices? I am sorry, but I or anyone else I know has every noticed that so much. And, even if you do who cares? Listen to Regis and Kelly and their stories. If you learn to listen to them then you won't notice the things that you notice.
Think Kelly is doing a wonderful job. Regis as well, but there are times when Regis doesn't have much to say or add to the host chat (like today)! I live in NY so I am a HUGE NYY fan (PK I will forgive your Yankee comments above.....lol) and I love when Regis talks about the games. However, I can see how that would get annoying for those fans that live out of NY.
I do however agree about Regis' nails. They are way too long and gross. But, isn't it funny how when Kelly mentioned a few months back that Regis needed his nails cut some on this board said that Kelly was rude and obnoxious. But, now it is ok to say!
All well! Life goes on! Just wanted to add my opinions! Hope everyone is having a good night!
Tink :o)
Tink,
Kelly fixed her buttons today? Gee, I didn't notice that. lol Just saw her tugging away at her sleeves.
Who called Kelly rude and obnoxious for mentioning Regis' nails? lol (I may add that I was first, after Kathie Lee, that is) to mention his nails. Why on earth does he let them get so out of control?

I loved host chat today (except for the Max part--I don't like him on AMC or singing and smoozing for the camera on the 'date' -- even if I were single you couldn't pay me to date, let alone kiss, him). Since I had it on tape I took a quick look at Kelly and the following are my observations: Played with watch once. Hands on face six times. Played with notes at least three times. Hands in hair four times. Picked at buttons twice. Scratched three to four times on right side. Played with sleeves three short times and one long time. Scratched left ankle one rather long scratch and one short. Now I may have missed some of the 'fidgeting' (it's tough being a reporter) but in all honesty the first time I watched NONE of this was noticeable to me. I really had to bring out the magnifier and go to tape. If anything, I think it shows just how comfortable she is with Regis and in front of the camera because she is doing things we probably all do in our everyday lives. As I'm rereading this post I'm scratching my left wrist......it itches....

V...let's agree to disagree, lol. I'm not making excuses for Kelly as I've always liked her and feel she does a great job. I just know that when I have a cold, I feel so miserable that I don't even want to get out of bed. Kelly has a self-deprecating sense of humor and I like that about her. With her looks, if she sat there all prim and proper, then she would come across as being "priggish", lol. Strictly my opinion, of course, but Kelly has to have a load of self-confidence or she wouldn't be where she is today. Luck can only take you so far....jmo!

I thought Max was cute! He could be a very good singer with a little training. Of course, I don't watch AMC so I don't know about his acting or character. I have noticed AMC no longer gets above 2.8 in the ratings since Kelly and Mark left and the Women 18-54 have gone down a great deal. Maybe Cameron Mathison's return might help.
I Think
07-31-2003, 06:33 PM
I watch AMC everyday, Tina. Max's character is kind of goofy and maybe that why I don't care for him. I also thought he was 'showing off' a lot on the date. As far as ratings for AMC, I never look at the ratings but IMO Kelly and Mark leaving had nothing to do with them dropping. Their story lines for the six months or so before they left weren't that great. I always thought their best story lines were in the beginning, when they met, when she married the goofs she married, when he found her in a wedding dress on the beach, when he 'saved' her, etc. etc. Toward the end, their story lines were really kind of boring IMO..... I think Cameron returning will help shake things up a little - it's too bad they killed off his 'princess' (Gillian) but now he's free to become studly with all the eligible little starlets.

I think- great post earlier.
V, G, and L- post whatever you want- aren't we supposed to reply? Isn't that the point of a message board. Although, you are right- it does get tiresome reading your same old crap. Yet entertaining to watch 3 pathetic people try to jab at anything they can to put someone down who they don't know, is probably better looking, happier, and more successful than you. The more exposure and successful Kelly gets, the more you grasp at straws.
I think Kelly does have self-confidence- yes she says comments about her breast size (as does Regis quite frequently), and how she's not bright (hard not to, when Regis is essentially telling her that she should go back to school everyday), and how she wishes she was as pretty as some of the guests- I'm sure she knows she's attractive, but there's still people out there that you're going to think are more attractive than you. I mean I'm pretty damn hot, but I think she's more attractive than me! (sarcastic comment for those not clueing (sp?) in) It's called the game that she and Regis play with each other. He talks down to her and she beefs him up. Learn to play.
Cassandra
07-31-2003, 07:29 PM
<I mean I'm pretty damn hot>
LOL---go Stephanie!!!
I think it is funny, that some find Kelly's actions so offensive. I never notice Kelly pushing her hair back, pulling at her sleeves, or rubbing her nose, or the many other things, that some find so offensive...
I guess, I am just not that picky, when it comes to watching a show, that I enjoy... I feel as though, Regis, in his grumpier than he can be mode, and Kelly, in her I am a "normal" person. (That pushes her hair back from her face, because I must do that 100 times a day or more) It just makes the whole thing down to earth...
The way I see it, Regis thinks he is above Kelly. Kelly, just thinks she is not yet up to the Regis level.. She is just anyone, that made it, and hasn't quite figured it out yet... No big deal. Regis is jealous, that Kelly made it to the top so quick, and he knows, that he is on the way down... Since he keeps mentioning it almost everyday...
If I watched it everyday, to pick it to pieces, what I didn't like about it, then, I would turn back to last hour of the Today Show.... I wouldn't waste my time on Live.... It would just be too stressful..
I watch the show for the fun of it... Not to pick it to pieces.....
lisac
08-01-2003, 03:52 AM
I can't believe anybody could think Regis is jealous of Kelly! For what? He has been successful beyond his wildest dreams and has had a career most who go into the biz only dream of--this is his shtick, and everybody knows it. Geez! I think he is genuinely happy for Kelly and whatever success she will have, as he was for Kathie Lee. When he starts with the "I made you what you are" he's half-kidding and half serious, because let's face it, it's partly true.
As far as Kelly, you don't have to be a body-language expert to see that she is wildly uncomfortable some days. Yes, everybody gives a tug here and maybe a scratch once in awhile, but with Kelly there are somedays that it is CONSTANT! From the time she sits down it's putting the hair behind the ears, (and what's with the hair? she's starting to look ike Lizzie Grubman lol)--itching, tugging, picking, paying with the staple (?) holding her cards together--looking into the monitor and sucking in the cheeks--it's unbelievable. She definitely does not strike me as somebody who's "comfortable in her own skin"--just watch other women on tv ---- they do not act like that!!!

Geez LIsac.....You must be twitching & scratching yourself to death! Surely watching Kelly has to make you so uncomfortable. It probably takes all day for you to calm down.....Thank goodness the weekend is coming---you'll get a break
I can belive that Regis is totally jealous of Kelly. After all as someone said earlier, Regis is on his way down and Kelly is on her way up. Kelly is now where Regis wants to continue to be, but he isn't.
As for Kelly moving around so much I can tell you that it is hard to sit still (although I still haven't noticed anything wrong with what she does and I don't think that she moves around all that much).
As someone who was an ADHD child and is now an ADHD adult it is very difficult to sit still. I an not able to sit still without touching everything or shifting in my chair. Now, I am not saying that Kelly has ADHD, but to sit and talk for 20 minutes a day any normal person is going to touch stuff (and again Kelly IMO doesn't even touch stuff that much or I don't notice when she does it) and move around.
I don't think it has anything to do with not being comfortable in her own skin. I think it has to do with security. Kelly IMO is actually very secure with herself (although she may say otherwises) which is why she feels comfortable enough to act as herself on LIVE and be herself. IMO that is really nice!
Tink :o)

Someone who is insecure and not comfortable with who they are, does not, CANNOT, point out on national TV those things about themselves that make them insecure! It just can't be done.
They're more likely to try to call attentiion to OTHERS' habits and mannerisms that might make ANOTHER insecure! Especially a person who intimidates them, real or imagined.
I never see Kelly running down Regis on the show, not in any way, shape or form. If she were uncomfortable in her own skin, she would be making fun of Regis, putting him down every chance she got, and picking at every one of HIS mannerisms in front of their audience.
I've always felt that a true comedian does not get his/her best material from making fun of other people, but by being able to find the ridiculous in the human condition. In other words finding their comedy in what everyone can identify with. People who were/are excellent at this would be Bill Cosby, Carol Burnett, Lucille Ball and of course some others.

PK, I was also thinking of Ellen but couldn't remember her last name at that moment. She is also not afraid to poke fun at herself. I'd really like to see that special!
At Epcot Center they use Ellen Degeneres and Bill Nye the Science Guy in one of their exhibits about Oil as Energy. I guess Disney/ABC is not threatened by her "coming out of the closet", as they still have the show. I'd also recommend that to anybody going to Disney World.

Excellent posts everyone (save 3)! I'd say Kelly's definitely comfortable or she would be a stiff board sitting up there- good for her being so relaxed, she's just being herself. Tink, I hear ya about ADHD- it was never tested, but I honestly think I'd have been diagnosed. I can't sit still either and I'm constantly putting my hair behind my ears, scratching, having to play with things in my hands (dirty minds get out of the gutter!) And even though Regis has had a VERY successful career, I think there is a piece of him that is jealous of how fast Kelly got to where she is (yes, she was on AMC for 11 years, but she never tried to do anything else during that time) and how much she is adored by (most of) the public. And yes, I acknowledge that Regis has A LOT to do with all of that.
I must comment- loved the comments Regis and Kelly made about teachers!! It's pretty sad when I'm not sure I can afford to buy a 1 bedroom/1 bath condo- and I'm heading into my 7th year of teaching! It's literally like- ok, I can barely swing the monthly payments, but then my condo will be empty!

I never said that scenario was funny, I never said Kelly's pole dance was "funny"... Keep in mind there is only the Enquirer's word (oxymoron, for sure) that that particular scene even happened. There was no pic of it in the article.. (Yes, I shopped this morning..)
I said it was Kelly's decision to do that gig, and it was not my business... I said I would not judge her morally for that decision, as it seems some did. I said I did not take her to raise, and she could darned well make her own career decisions. If it ever comes to the point where she no longer entertains me, I will watch something else..

Did you see the whole act/dance? How do you know if she was laying spread eagle on the floor or not? That's not what I saw on the picture posted here or at that link someone posted. If you did see her whole act, and that she was laying spread eagle on the floor, then why didn't you say so last week when we were posting about it?
I really don't care if you thought it was funny or not, I'm talking about Kelly every day on Live. Of course you don't have to enjoy what I think is funny either. And I also think Ellen Degeneres is funny.

No comprehendo. Did I make a moral judgement re Ellen? I must have missed it if I did. At least you are consistent PK! LOL

PS PK. I'm rereading your cryptic yet somewhat entertaining post.
First of all, where did I ever say you thought Kelly's pole dance was funny? Okay..... I'll draw you a diagram with moving arrows for you to understand....I read over and over again (from various posters) how Kelly's performance was totally acceptable because it was a COMEDY. Someone else posted that we should all watch other women comedians because they were no different. Which leads me to your statement of how "clean" Ellen's show was. My deduction from your post that Ellen's act was clean and funny showed that comedians don't have to pole dance to be funny. The whole two sided thing (from various posters) just had me chuckling. I apologize deeply if you errantly inferred from my post directed at no one in particular that I thought you thought Kelly's pole dance was funny. LOL
I noticed there is an ignore list....I suggest you should put me on it before you rupture a vericose vein. :)

or two, or twenty........lol
I'm wondering about lisa r's psychology classes at Nanny U--did they cover anything about constantly following people around to different tv talk boards and writing negative mumbo jumbo after their posts? Devoting whole threads to these posters when they don't post for awhile? Thinking about them at night and posting the next day "lisac was the first person I thought of last night........" eeeeeek!!!!! Methinks she has her pshch classes confused with "how to dispose of dirty diapers 101" lol

ROFL...
You certainly live up to your name, Silly You...
<<<
Add Ellen Degeneres to your list of commedians...
I saw her HBO special the other evening, and she was amazing... Just found the humor in everyday things, like untangling a phone cord...
I highly recommend it, if you haven't seen it.. Not even one swear word... LOL, she did do a bit about people who insult you and then say 'Just kidding'... Was funny... "
But was she laid out on the floor spread eagle next to pole dancing transvestites??? If not, then how was that funny??? ;)
lol
I've always thought she was funny and loved her show until it took such a bad turn......She made a good fish in Finding Nemo.>>>
Hey, then you were not quoting me directly for a reason? Good Grief.. Perhaps YOU should go back to freshman English... You quote me and make a statement regarding that quote, you are speaking TO me, and about me... DUH...
Enjoyed Ellen until the show took a "wrong turn"?? Hmm... Wonder what that might have been??? Yes, you are certainly judgemental... Do you have a pulpit on Sunday mornings? Or do you only pontificate here??
That's right... I expressly said Ellen's show was 'clean' because I had previously said "blue humor" was rampant in Stand-up... So now I should be ragged on for showing an example of the other kind? Which you, in your Sunday Best seem to prefer.. So what is your point? I, nor no one else said ALL women comedians used blue humor... LOL, but I'll bet Joy Behar can tell some doozies...
LOL, thank you for reinforcing Ellen's "bit" on the "just kidders" - you certainly just brought it home - in Spades...
I also wonder where you get the indication I am upset? Let alone ready to rupture an "old lady's" vein... You have "accused" me of loving to play with words (though why you would think that something to be frowned on), and I agreed with you.. Word games cause me no stress, just keeps the brain cells agile...
I choose not to ignore any poster - I have made that perfectly clear on every occasion... I will even post to you, LOL, but then I've never been accused of having 'good taste'... (Just Kidding - Heheheh..)
;0))
PK thinking the ignore button works both ways...

to the ones who names I'm not mentioning how come you have to make your attacks so friggin personal?? "vericose veins" get real and keep your attacks to the post at hand not the poster you can get your points across with out being so cruel and immature
have a nice day and play nice

Silly you--I'm dying here, laughing at your posts. Very funny.
Hi L,
Looks like someone still has her big bloomers in a bunch & can't accept your multiple degrees...gotta love it. lol
To SillyYou...get used to the long essay type posts, it seems someone is living out their dream of becoming a journalist on the Live! Message Boards. lol
And, yes, Kelly was seen on TV laying on stage with her legs "spread eagle." It was shown on ET, or the other show, but a very short clip.
To Danielle....For a new poster, you're really adding up those posts, it's like you've been here forever. I guess you were right, it is addicting to some. (BTW, Kelly looks like she's wearing adult diapers in your avatar.....lol, minus the ruffles, of course. lol)
* How cute that Kelly took a peek today at the meaning of the word.....lol. Have to give her credit for 'fessing up. lol

I guess my cloak of invisibility has run its course... TWO hopeful insults in the same post! Hey, dearie, that is bordering on obsession, or "facination", now, doncha think?
Danielle... Congratulations! You have now been insulted by the master... TWICE in the same post... We are both on roll... I am just so happy I could spit!

PK wondering if DoUThink? is on to something...

And why the obsession/fascination with MY job???Do you even have a job or have you ever had a job or are you too busy living off of someone elses money?

PK glad to NOT have vericose veins, BTW.... I understand they can be quite painful. I do hope no one here suffers from them..
Gosh........pk. Yup, I guess you do wake up in a horrible mood. Yikes, you go to bed nasty and wake up the same way.......You should go read Shel's poem again; it really is beautiful. (might help you get out of that bitter mood you're always in)

What can I say, V... I owe it all to you! LOL...
Curious... I doubt most people here find me bitter at all. Perhaps it's all in the definition. Come to think of it I find that word describes you to a T...
Good Morning Danielle.. Wow did we have a storm! I got up at 4:30 after a particularly close crack of lightning and noticed a light was off that should have been on.. I went to the kitchen to see what was up, and none of the lights worked..
Then I stepped in a puddle... AARRGGHH!!
Guess that crack was even closer than I thought.. We have a surge protector at the meter for the whole house, and I guess it was a good thing.. A couple of breakers tripped. I finally located them and got all but one light to work - hoping it's just the bulb..
But the roof is leaking at the addition roof joint, AGAIN... Of course Hubby is on his grand adventure, with his own problems, LOL...
Guess I'll keep mopping if necessary till he returns.
Then even with the whole house surge protector AND a good Back-Ups, and the computer off, something zapped my monitor just a little.. Now there are some odd patches of color/dimness here and there I can't get rid of... Well, I've been wanting a new one... Heheheh...
;0))

08-02-2003, 05:36 AM
No Danielle, I'm sure V meant bitter, definitely not better. lol
I always find it interesting that you and yours can namecall all you want and it is always a "high five" moment. Oh well . . . .
Regarding the lightning strikes (there have been others, correct?) I'm thinking all that bitterness is reaping you your just desserts. But that's jmo, lol.
PK...
08-02-2003, 05:39 AM
LOL, NotYou...
I don't know whether to hope it clears up, or order a one really quickly before it does.. I've found one that looks like what I want for a decent price, so we will see..
This storm was not nearly as bad as the last one that hit BEFORE we had the surge protection at the meter.. It kocked out a computer, and part of another one, Tvs, phones, the PVR with the Satellite, and I don't know what all.. Not to mention took out the antenna booster on the TV tower (where the lightning hit, and jumped into the house), so we lost all broadcast stations..
Funny, it seems the roof only leaks when Hubby is on an adventure... Hmmm...
I used to LOVE storms, now they bother me a lot.. Wised up, I think...
;0))

Oh, geez... Guess it doesn't take much to amuse V....
Can't you find some new material? That one is old as the hills, too...
Poor V.. Has to get the attention back somehow... SillyYou did steal some of her thunder...
LOL, Now secrets with Trevor?? How funny... But, I guess it's not a secret now... (I'm still laughing)
;0))
PK also still hoping for sunshine on the Jersey Shore..
<<<<PK also still hoping for sunshine on the Jersey Shore..>>>>>
What makes you think it isn't? lol Uh-oh...I guess someone was googling again & received some inaccurate info. Well, googling NJ's weather is better than googling me another husband. LOL
ledhead
08-02-2003, 01:37 PM
Well it must be overcast or something on the NJ shore, otherwise I think you'd be runnin' the puppers instead of trying to keep the R & K board stirred up.
But carry on kiddies, if that's the only fun you can conjure up on what you say is a nice day on the Jersey shore. I'm going out to run some more errands on this decent day on the banks of the Muddy Mo. Lo to mid 80's, and the humidity's not too bad either.
(That's Low to mid 80's, not lo, lol.)

Aw, V.....
I am SO happy for you, both because you say the sun is shining AND that you and Lenny are happy enough I don't have to Google you another Hubby...
;0))
PK beaming at "our" good fortune...
Oh geeze, now there has to be a reason why I'm posting on the boards. lol
BTW, ledhead, I run in the AM, sometimes with the puppers, sometimes alone. Now, mark that down someplace where you won't forget. lol
Lenny? lol How did you do that again? Oh, that's right. You googled NJ, soccer, coach of the year and...........Voila.....Lenny popped up. (too funny)
lol

Well, no matter "how" I did it, as long as you're both happy... That's what really matters, isn't it?
You ARE both happy, aren't you?
;0))
PK
>>>>You ARE both happy, aren't you?>>>>
Don't you know? lol Google and see what you come up with. lol
OK, OK, I have to come clean. I have no idea about anyone else, but Yes, my husband and I are both very happy. And, no it isn't Lenny. lol
Hi G. I thought my post was funny, too.
Better be on the lookout...you mentioned The Hamptons the other day....you're probably being googled as we speak....wonder who you'll be matched up with. lol
OOps, almost forgot. You have to mention a sport. Any sport, it doesn't really matter. lol
OK, going for a quick dip.
PK...
08-02-2003, 04:17 PM
LOL...
Poor Lenny... Does he know you are disavowing him; and is he really as short as he appears? Or do all soccer players appear short?
Hey, G... Maybe I can google up a Polo Player for you... Uh... Well, maybe a Polo "Pony"...
(Hey, Jinh... If push comes to shove, do ya think you could spare ole Toofless for the G Lady? Seems she's in the market... Ah, nevermind, he'd never go for it...)
;0))
PK hoping you don't get waterlogged.. (I think...)

rofl, another night and yet another hilarious turn to this thread.
my suggestion is that you google yourself up "something" because it looks like you've gone off the deep-end.
Gil does travel a lot, doesn't he? Good for him . . . .
PK...
08-02-2003, 04:57 PM
LOLOL, Gailsie...
Absolutely NO sense of humor.. You can certainly dish it out...
Yes Gil has one Great Western Adventure each summer... And right, Good for him... You seem to forget, it doesn't bother me if you mention his name (which you got by spyin and lyin at Breakfast, btw...)
What is SO funny, is that each time I mention this Lenny A, who does NOT belong to V... You retaliate with the name of my hubby...
Now, let me ask you this... If Dear Lenny A, does NOT belong to V.. Why do you feel the need to retaliate? It would seem that just laughing would be sufficient...
Evidently just the mention of the name sends you both off the deep end.. LOL, I KNOW the mere mention of Drew U caused YOU to self-destruct on at least one occasion...
I have said before, you two do not need enemies, you handle that job very well all by yourselves...
;0))
PK wondering why you love this game of revealing everyone's personal information so much.. But, hey, I'll play..
lol
Yup. Hook, line and sinker. lol (you'd think you'd learn by now) rofl (G, you were right.)
pk...for once and for all. If your Lenny and I were really married, would I keep bringing up the subject? lol Come on....it's so ridiculous that I do it as a joke. And everytime I do, you come back with posting this guys name. lol Yes, we have been laughing it off---and laughing at you for even thinking you honestly would be able to find someones mate on the internet. Oy-vey....rofl.
(BTW, you really don't know how funny you really are, I mean, you really don't.....you've got the wrong sport & wrong religion....not to mention the wrong area.)
As for Gil....I'm pretty sure you posted his name. But, who cares.
Ta-ta.......Until the next time I throw out the bait.....lol

LOLOL...
Whatever you say, Dear V... Whatever makes your life rosy... But... Hmm... Answer me this??
When did religion enter the equation?? I don't recall that ever being mentioned?? I haven't a clue as to your religion, nor do I care... Curious, though.... Very curious... Perhaps more information than you meant to divulge.. LOLOLOL...
We both know where you got hubby's first name, and we both know how you got the information... Deny and lie all you want...
And now you have the audacity to suggest we accept your word (and even funnier, Gailsie's - Roflmao) that dear Lenny does not belong to you?? Wow... wish I could spell "hootspa" properly, but you get the idea and you certainly are a hoot...
Still say, way more damage control than is necessary.. The more you deny, the less likely it is you will be believed..
;0))
PK thinking this is such a fun game..

Still here, Silly YOU... Thought you had plans.. Can't tear yourself away, I see.. Perhaps you, too, find this place addictive? Didn't you make some snide remark to Danielle about that? Rofl...
You have certainly have bonded with the Ladies for someone who has just recently arrived on the scene... Another Rofl..
Curious, you have plenty to say about sexual innuendo and blue humor, etc., ad naseum, but have no qualms about using same to insult.. Rofl once more...
Wow, are you SURE you are not related to V and G? Three peas in a pod, for sure..
;0))
PK wishing you joy in everything you do, cause I do think you could use some..

Hey, I make no bones about being here whenever I wish to be, and I wish to be here a lot, what's it to ya? Did you take me to raise?
I also wonder why you think it yet another insult to mention the number of my posts?? I think during the last day or two, you have insulted every facet of my being, and you arrived on this board with an axe to grind with me particularly. What's up with that? "Newbie"... ROFL again...
Hopefully you can yet tear yourself away for those several days you keep promising...

OK.... I love Elmo... But, this little red, jumping thing, makes my eyes hurt!!!
You don't have a still of Big Bird or something?????

08-02-2003, 08:40 PM
no lol I did have a Barney, but everyone gave me a hard time about him. As I've mentioned before I do have a pic of my hubby in a lime green speedo. I think you'd prefer the dancing Elmo though
I know I do.
p.s. pic of him was taken when married to his first wife. I would never allow such a thing he he he
Danielle
08-02-2003, 08:52 PM
Silly You,
I wasn't exactly nice either. To be honest I don't want to fight with anyone on the boards. Some people get along and some don't.
Now obviously I will get a lot of static from what I am saying here but I do not understand why the posts to PK have to be so personal and that's what makes me jump in. Granted I am new here and I don't know all the history, but I have never found Pk to be anything but kind helpful and fun. When she does retaliate (spelling??) she usually does it in humour. I find others and I'm not saying it's you to attack her so persoanlly her age, wishing her house get hit by lightening etc...... and I just don't think it's necessary. People can get their point across with out going into certin areas of a person's life. PK was the first to make me feel really welcome here and I will always remember that and be loyal to her because I truly like her. Perhaps you and I should just agree to disagree on the subject. Now I know I gonna get the hell teased out of me for this post..
Oh well just wanted to express my feelings on the subject.

Nah... MCD..
I think she and NotYou have something going... Don't know that I want to know just what, LOL, but we are certainly being treated to a lot of different avatars..
;0))
PK wondering if it is Avatar Heaven, or Avatar Hell...
PK... I don't know.. at least we don't get bored!!!
It is somewhat entertaining!!!
It could be fun, to come up with a different avatar, everyday! See, how many you could have in ONE day... etc???
Who can change their Avatar, the most in one day???
Or, is there a limit??
PK...
08-03-2003, 02:19 PM
You can change it anytime and every time you want to.. You just have to go to your control panel and upload a new one (the site does not save any but the current one, so you have to keep them on your hard drive).
NotYou... Forgot... Love your newest one... For some reason, reminds me of BigDog... Maybe the Tail, Ears and FEET... (Though your avatar does not have "Flying Nun" ears..)
;0))
PK
Oh... that is really cool!!!
So, we could just change all of the time, once, you finally, get your first one??
PK...
08-03-2003, 02:24 PM
This is funny... The "L00K" one... (Thanks, SillyYou..)
It was on the same site as ugly scary guy (also resized it, if anyone dares...), and it did some mighty strange things.. This is the final version, and is kind of comical with the eyeballs falling out...

Then again, I am just speaking for myself. She might not like "Miss Piggie"
