The dog here where I work must have rolled in something that smells terrible.(long story-lol)Without having to take the time to bath her(she hates baths and I HATE bathing her!)...is there anything I can do
or use?
I need help fast. The people that I work for are out of town and are due back tonight. The dog sleeps in the same bed as them.(which BTW,could be worse...at least I won't be staying here tonight and having her in bed with me.-lol)
Hi Lmr -
Our dogs met a skunk in the middle of the night last week...I got out the 'Febreez' sprayed everything (including dogs) and went back to bed. It seemed to work until I could give them baths.
Another thing you could try is a mix of water, vinegar and some essential oil. Oh, another thing I read somewhere is brushing/rubbing baking soda into them.
Good luck!

I would be interested in this also. I have a doggie that stays outside most of the time and he sure does stink...lol
I've done everything to make him smell better. Maybe not using the right shampoo or something? He smells like a goat. No disrepect to anyone that may have goats. I love goats, but this doggie sure does stinkys..lol

Wouldn't you know it though..I have Febreze at home but none here. Was also looking for some baking soda but only found baking powder.I doubt if that would work.-lol

Well,I just washed her down with Sunlight and vinegar and water.I don't think it worked much though as she still smells.
(speaking of fish...I swear that is what she rolled in!)
I don't think spraying a dog with Febreze is a good idea -- I'm pretty sure that can be extremely dangerous to the dog!!!!!!

LOL..bless her heart.
I'm going to try the baking soda. My last resort..lol
Thanks Jinh for the tip.
To RCR:
The ingredients read:
Water, alcohol, odor eliminator derived from corn, fragrance.
Also, it's veterinarian approved by the ASPCA for use around dogs and cats...
Trust me, if I thought it could cause any harm to an animal I would never recommend it.
Jinh
Sorry about that. I didn't know it was veterinarian approved!
No problem, RCR -
It's a GOOD thing to be looking out for the welfare of animals and I think it great that you were concerned...

LOL!!
Hi Lmr...how'd things go with the dog/people?
Hopefully they understood and will take her to get a bath and de-scented.
I'm lucky - my dogs LOVE baths - probably would like one everyday...too much work for me - lifting sixty - seventy pounds into the tub is a bit much...then they won't get out...
And, what's with Ghost??? You a Korean Ghost er what???
lol!

lmroland- I sure do miss seeing that kitty. Hope they put these avatars back.
Jinh- I'm starving and I have no avatars to look at. That's the only reason I like coming here. You guys have an eclectic menu, I mean nice avatars, lol.
Tisk, tisk...
You're one sick Ghost - better stay away from my doggies!
LOL!
