I forgot Jacob Young was going to be the new JR on AMC... Good going..

Regis is evidently going to really milk his part on H&K, lol... I noted a blurb that the stunt this week is Hope and Faith trying to get a ring off a corpse's finger...

Wonder how they run across a corpse, LOL.. Hope it's a fun trip.

You haven't seen the commercial for it? It's hysterical. And Kelly's little "black dress" is too much from what I saw quickly.

Drat! Haven't seen the commercial.

Is the dress flowered and short with tall white boots? I saw that combo somewhere.. Shades of another era... She surely looked cute..

Here's the blurb from their website....

Friday, October 3, 9/8c
"Remembrance of Rings Past"
Hope and Faith reluctantly attend the funeral of a distant relative, Aunt Dodi, who, according to family legend, stole their mom's heirloom opal ring years ago. But when the women see Dodi wearing the ring in the casket, all hell breaks loose. Meanwhile, back at home, Charley can't get the burglar alarm to stop shrieking, and Hayley gets a case of the middle-child blues.

Sounds like fun!! Remember the Mary Tyler Moore episode when Chuckles the Clown died and Mary started laughing? My very favorite episode. And, from what I've read, a favorite of many fans!!! Let's hope that's true for H&F this week!!!

I don't think she said Regis asked, and then answered, too... He said probably "Talking", since it's Thursday night, as in Tues, Thurs. and Sat.

What about the alltime classic MTM "Chuckles the clown" (was that his name? or was it something to do with a peanut?, or was he dressed as a peanut?) funeral? I don't know, anways.. hysterical, even today.

I'm going to have to tape H&F tomorrow : ( going out for anniversary dinner and hubby wouldn't go for staying home and watching it...poop!LOL!

Anyway, can't wait to see it!

Oh, how could I forget...that Jacob Young is a HOTTIE! Somewhere in-between (as Regis said) James Dean and Brad Pitt...I may have to start watching AMC!

Hi Scoops!!

Great minds think alike!!! I guess we were both thinking along the same lines....no need to apologize!! I'm just glad you said it. After I wrote it, I thought that it might seem a little out of order...but now I know it wasn't!!!

speaking of laughing at Funerals I laughed through my Mom's whole funeral. I loved my Mother more than life itself. We knew she was dying and had talked about everything. I told her before she died I didn't believe in going to funerals but would try my hardest to go to hers. She said she understood either say. Well the days and hours leading up to the funeral I was able to hold everything together (probably in denial) As we sit down for the service I start to giggle just a bit this came from no where..I kept chewing on my lip to stop myself and the harder I tried the worse it was getting. I finally got myself under control by bending my head down and my best friend who was sitting beside me mistakes my head being down and my shoulders shakeing for crying instead of giggling. She takes me in her arms and say It's okay let it all out. Well that was it for me. I started to laugh and laugh and could not stop. Then to make matters worse I look up to see my husband looking at me with an absolute look of horror/wonder of his face. That got me going even more. I finally had to leave the service and sit outside on the curb and listen to the service via loud speaker. I felt so bad about it later. The funeral director came out and told me not to feel bad as apparently it happens all the time. He said it's a form of hysteria. I don't feel bad anymore I kind of figure it was Mom and I having one last laugh together and she definetely knew I was there for her. I will never forget the looks on peoples faces though. lol

I think it was in Readers Digest that I read a story about a women who laughed through a whole funeral.. Apparently her husband got his shirt tail caught in his zipper..they slip into an unused room to fix it..she's down on her knees trying to un jam his zipper when the priest walks in to talk to the family about the service..
she laughed through the whole mass!!

I was just reading an article in Guideposts magazine yesterday about (sorry, I don't know your religious beliefs, but this is what it said) apparently laughing at "inappropriate" times, and how it is viewed as a work of the Holy Spirit, and that Jesus would laugh with people all the time.

I think it was a good thing, Danielle....it's what you needed to do at that particular time...although I wouldn't recommend it at, say, your boss' funeral!!! :)

What a sweet, funny story, Danielle!!!

Oh I did have a great relationship with my Mom. Still miss her each and everyday!!! I always tell my friends who complain about their Mom's that no one loves you like your Mother. My Mom died on Mother's Day 1994 so I believe God took her on the most special day for Mom's. I must admit though Mother's Day is a tough time for me. What I do now is buy or make a gift for someone every year who is special to me and that way I am still able to enjoy Mother's Day.

That's a nice idea,Danielle...I struggle through those days too...maybe I'll figure something nice like that to do too...much better than crying the day away!

Thanks,

Jinh

Thank God I'm not the only one. The more horrible the event the harder I laugh. The greater the love I have for someone I love can send me into hysterical laughter for days. Tears will not come for months, sometimes years. I've never understood. The harder I will myself to stop the harder I laugh.

I really thought I was a freak of nature on this one.

Sorry to hear about your mom dying on Mother's Day Danielle. That's got to be tough. It's good to hear you turn it into a celebration of her life and not her death.

thanks guys for all the kinds words!! See I'm not so bad now am I???
Jinh I try to find someone who has no kids or maybe her kids don't bother with her and do something on Mother's Day for her. Last year my neighbour was arguing with her son and dil so I shared Mothers Day with her. There are also a lot of Mom's in Nursing homes who kids just don't have the time for them.
