View Full Version : Well Holy Crapola, Batman... ED et al.
Should be strung up by "something"... (Please don't push for a suggestion, I will be all too happy to oblige!!)
All the clips we have seen on Live! were evidently from all three of the episodes Kelly is on...
Not even one smooch. Talk about misrepresentation...
AARRGGHH!!
Kelly did well, but...
PK not happy..

Yes they kissed, remember the bedroom scene in her apartment? Granted they did not show great detail but it was obvious what they were going to do and then it went to commercial or another scene ( would have to check the tape).

Ok just rewound the tape, right after the restaurant scene when she was stroking his hand, it showed her stradling Ed on her bed and they had long deep kisses and then it went to the next scene of Ed in her manager's office

Sheesh..........I missed it.... Straddling HIM on the bed???
Imee... sorry to hear one of your kids is sick...

Geesh Monica, did you and PK watch the same show??
Maybe you were watching The Bachelor.LOL
My god, I must have blinked...
The crap that was spewed on this board about the "straddle scene" was so short I missed it even while I was watching????
Well then, I'm even more pissed... (oh, sorry for the crude language... but it's so apropos..)
;0))
PK fell asleep, maybe???

Yes LM Pk and I watched the same show but the scene did not last long but it was enough to know what was going to happen. It was very close to the end of the show right after the restaurant scene. The majority of the show was about the upcoming wedding but Kelly did have a few scenes and yes there was the bedroom scene with the kissing. I couldnt tell she was pregnant in any of scenes, thought she did good, liked her better tonight than the last time she was on.

I think that scene was in the very beginning, and it was a flashback from last years show.
At least that was the way I saw it.
I don't have as vivid imaginations, as others do.

Goodness I have the tape if you guys want- it was at the very end, right after the restaurant scene when Kelly was stroking his hand, it showed them in her bedroom, that was not a flashback because it was in the apartment where she was having the 'problems' with the landlord. Right after the bedroom scene Ed was in the managers office. I am thinking I need to mail some tapes LOL
I'm thinking I thought the show was over before it happened, or the station cut it off, or maybe it was a preview? Save your tapes, Monica... Certainly not that important.. I can always tape the 11 PM version..
Live! showed other scenes in the clip they aired, where Jennifer and Ed were preparing to go to Africa, I think - with the pith helmet, and ED wouldn't wear his... The clip shown on Live! didn't disavow the assumption that that scene would be in this episode... Well, we know what to make of assumptions, now don't we...

Pk you get it twice? It was probably about 10 minutes if that before the show ended. It was right after she was talking about all the different sauces, they were in her bedroom, you heard the supra yelling while they kissed the first time, ignored the yelling and banging and went back to kissing. The next scene is Kelly walking into the bowling asking, "where is Ed?" He is at the managers office and that is when Kelly tells him that she made up everything. I know I am not always right and will be the first to admit that but I was not imagining anything tonight, have a good night, off to watch Leno

This was the first time I've ever seen the show, and don't get what all the hoopla is/was about. Didn't know it was an hour show, don't know how it could possibly be an hour show, there was not that much to it. I know I had a lot of distractions, with one son dropping in and phone calls for the others, but could barely tell whether Ed was the grey haired guy or the black haired guy at first. It seemed to be more about the couple getting married than about Ed. I don't think I'll probably watch the show again, unless it's just to see Kelly. And don't know whether it's worth that even. Well it's late and I'm tired, so maybe that has something to do with my opinion of Ed.
Yes, Monica.. I get the east and west coast feeds on the satellite... It's a Good thing...
I must have dozed off, or went for a snack.. That show has never done that much for me... LOL
One thing I did notice, is that Kelly's voice was not as bad as reported here... Spose they did something to the timbre of it? Seemed a bit deeper.. LOL If they can make Rosie sing on key, they can do anything...
;0))

Yes, I think that must have been when I took a quick break to the bathroom. Then again, I could have dozed off also. Goodness, what you can miss in a minute.
I did notice Kelly's voice seemed deeper than usual, then again, don't take anything I say for granted, because I really don't pay that much attention to her every move.
"If they can make Rosie sing on key, they can do anything!" That should be the Dr. Phil quote of the day!

Jan the show last night was about Ed. Ed is the lawyer and last night was concerning his feelings for Carol ( she is getting married). Carol and Ed, well the whole group have been friends for years. It is a cute show that shows all the characters, not just Ed. The basic premise of the show is that Ed's law office is at the bowling alley, which he owns and every week he deals with an unusal case, the other characters are also shown so the show is not just about Ed.
I did notice the voice, it reminded me of Haley.

My goodness, methinks somebody could have used some of that valium last night--rofl!!!!!!!!!

Hi lisa, not sure who you are referring to but I probably could have used some lol. I know its only a show but I do know what I saw and my eyes are still working lol

OK, thanks for the explanation, Monica. The idea of the show makes more sense to me now. I thought it was just a half hour sit com. I don't care one way or another whether she was straddled across Ed, so was not questioning that. And yes, there was something different about Kelly's voice.

Hi Monica, watched the show last night and you're absolutely right, that scene came and went in a flash exactly where you said it was. You really could't tell she was pregnant, but they did a good job of covering her up with different camera angles. Much better clothes for her too than at Live.

Jan you should give the show another chance, whether Kelly is there or not. It is a cute quirky show with fun characters. Ed has been in love with Carol for years so maybe he will finally own up to his feelings right before she gets married, whcih will probably be the last episode for Kelly. Just guessing here. I know you didn't say anything about straddling, I did in one of the very early posts lol
Hi Gailsie, yes they did a good job of hiding the pregnancy, not like the soaps where they use big shopping bags or purses lol

Hi Monica--you probably don't watch the View, (and I posted this on another thread awhile ago so sorry if it's a repeat to you) but a few weeks ago, Tom Cavanaugh was on as a guest--and they were talking about Lisa Ling guesting on Ed-- he was saying the same things to Lisa that he said to Kelly (how much they love her (Lisa Ling) over at Ed, how he would love her to come back, etc. etc. --he seems like a genuinely nice guy--)and he did say that he really is upset that Ed and Carol have never gotten together--that's what he really wants to happen--because they have such great chemistry--

Hi Lisa, no I don't watch the view, used to a long time ago when I was home during the day. Ed does seem like a nice guy and he probably likes both women. I wonder how Lisa will do and what character does she play? I think since Kelly is an actress first that is why she did so well last night.
<Monica>

Lisa forgot to add that yes I do want Ed and Carol to get together, didn't they sleep together or profess their love last season at the end? But if they do get together it might be the end, remember Moonlighting? lol

Monica,
Maybe now I will watch it again sometime, now that I know what it's supposed to be about, and not just to see Kelly.
I just mentioned the straddling business in case you thought I posted to argue about whether she straddled Ed or not in the show. There seemed to be some question whether that happened or not. Can't say, must've been one of the many distractions going on at the time, I didn't see it.

Monica just wanted to tell you that I did tape Ed. Don't know how, must have pushed the record button on the remote by accident. The reason I knew it taped was because my video popped out of the TV, as I was watching 20/20.
Anyway, I did finally find the spot towards the end of the show, and it was really brief, no wonder we all missed it!! I think it is funny, that so many of us didn't see it. Shows you how interested we were, I guess. Anyway, it was there, and it was very short. Infact, I looked at it twice, I thought Ed was just having a flashback of the first time he was with her.
