Happy belated birthday to our very own Skeeter!!!! I thought it was tomorrow, thus, coming to post a birthday greeting. When I looked at the calendar to confirm the date, I noticed I was a week late.

Please forgive me....and just throw another party for yourself tomorrow. What the heck?!?!? :)

Hope this is the best year yet!

No biggie, MsP!! We're celebrating a birthday at my house today, too!! It's my oldest daughter's birthday!!!

Another year come and gone...with a few more friends to call my own (and the above name is one of the sweetest friends I'll ever have!!)

My mama often would give me a 1/2 birthday party in June, for that reason...

I always said that I didn't enjoy having my birthday so close to Christmas, and would never, ever have my children so close to Christmas....so, right out of the chute (literally!) our first was born the day after Christmas....

Maybe we had the same Mom??? Mine did the same for me several times... Never did seem quite right, though. I usually wound up choosing my birthday present from the pile of Christmas presents. It is not much different today. My birthday presents are usually wrapped in Christmas paper..

Our youngest's birthday is New Year's Eve. I used to wrap one or two of his presents in birthday paper. Our middle son usually always noticed that his brother got more presents than anyone else, and also almost never failed to comment on it. So I decided to wrap his birthday presents in birthday paper and still put them under the tree. Then when he got a little older, I'd keep them back until his actual birthday, so he had a day to himself.

Sorry for just now responding...this site has been a bit, well, challenging. I guess it is slow for you all too...

ANYWAY...Skeeter, hope you and daughter #1 have enjoyed your day!! I still feel badly for the mix up. :(

Honey, it is a good thing that you don't feel a day over 21, because you would be in a world of hurt if you did...those kids would run you ragged!!! :) I know your life is full of happiness and joy. You have everything you could want. What a blessing...and a great birthday GIFT!

My Mom's birthday is the 17th, so I know what you all are saying about getting "cheated". I always give her gift to her on that day or before...never at our Christmas family gathering. I used to...but with age, realized that she got the shaft if we did wait!!!!

It won't end on Monday morning....everyone is off school, and hubby is off work until New Year's eve....we'll be partying for a long time (although we just got home from going out to a "gala", and I feel like the flu (really! I didn't drink anything!) is settling in. Boy, I hope not....
