I'm going to miss Judy. Judy is professional, yet friendlier than Jill. I like Judy's voice, too. She will be missed, but I hope she's happy in Florida.

I definitley will miss "Miss Judy" (although now she is a Mrs). She was not my favorite host in the beginning though. But over the years she has become one of my favorites. I like her with silver, gems, and apparel. She has been on for 14 years and has become one of the more promenant hosts. She is plesant to watch and dosen't at all seem fake or boring. QVC won't be the same. I wish there was time for her to do one more Kirk's Folly show with Jennifer Kirk!

Why can't uber creepy Bob Bowersox leave? Is he just going to die with the place? God, he is soooooooo D U L L !!

Judy was so-so to me for years. What changed her to me was a show when she played tic-tac-q with someone who won something like $550 by completing a row. Judy was so happy for the woman she actually started to CRY! (They quickly went to commercial.) At the time, I thought she must be going through something awful for something like that to just set off the tears. Then I thought, it really doesn't matter. I think she was also genuinely happy for the lady who won. It endeared her to her audience, and it WASN'T FAKE. Neither is she, to me. She classes up the network and will definitely be missed.

I meet Judy in person and I don't have anything positive to report. She was rather standoffish.

I know someone who met Bob Bowersox and Jill Bauer in person and both were also standoffish. Wouldn't even say Hi. Seems you have to be another host or vendor for them to be friendly. Maybe it's also true of Judy.

However, I met Lisa Robertson when she came to RI two years ago and she was as nice as could be to everyone.

old,
definitely NOT a surprise. Jill and Bob come across very cold on tv.

I've e-mailed Judy a few times, and she's always been warm and gracious.

I will miss Judy, she's one of the last good host they have, but talking about how host are when people meet them is nothing new.

There is a term for people on TV (I forget what it is) but doctors use it. But what it comes down to is that after awhile, most people that you see on TV start thinking they are special and everyone looks up to them. And they think they are better them most. And that is when they become snobs and they change for the worse.

There is a pro baseball player that comes to mind. He was one of the biggest names in baseball and he was not what he was made out to be by sports writers. But after he got older and something happened in his life, he changed for the better. That the only reason I will not give his name. I know people that know him, his wife and people that work at the hospital (doctors & nurses) were the team went for check ups. And they all said just about the same thing about him

I've been told a few times that the hosts rarely answer their own emails. They have a staff of people who do it for them and make it sound like Judy or whoever the host is wrote it.

Good I'm glad she's leaving she's a flake. I never did like her. I wish she would left long ago.

I have said this before, but I have received what I know to be personal responses to emails from Lisa R. I have asked her about sweaters that she wore on the air, that were not purchased from QVC, as well as nail polishes that she wore. She not only told me what they were, but where to purchase them. I doubt that any assistant would have that information. In addition, I have written to both Judy and Lisa M. and have received responses that I believe were personal. I did write to Jane Treacy once and received an answer from someone who stated that they were writing on behalf of Jane as she was too busy to answer. It could be that the hosts pick and choose which emails to which they personally respond based on the time that they have and the content of the email.

I am certain that the hosts READ the e-mails , but I think that they have assistants ( they probably share assistants)that actually answer then messages...I work w/ someone and this person is good friends with a former "assistant" ; that was her job, to answer the messages from the viewers...so if you feel that you are actually hearing from the hosts... you are not, most likely the assistant is doing the work... I doubt that they have the time to sit and answer all of the e-mails.. make sense to me....

I like Judy Crowell and enjoy watching her. I think she's genuine and her absence will be felt at QVC, both in the hosting staff and with viewers.

I can understand why she'd want to keep her private life private. This goes back to what I tried (unsuccessfully) to say in another thread.....about the medium of TV and how we respond to it. These people (the hosts) come into our homes via the television screen, so we become very familiar with them. I hear phone callers professing their love (as well as some people on this BB!). And so we believe we have some right to know about them, much as we do with politicians and movie/pop stars. But do we? They are not politicians or stars. From their vantage point, they are doing a job, selling on TV and yes, much of that selling is based on personality. But does that mean they give up a right to privacy?

I also think they do not get how much the public expects of them. And maybe we expect to much.

As curious as I am, unless she chooses to share, I have to be left to speculate...and read this BB!
: )

sorry, everybody. Posted the above to wrong thread. Have reposted in correct thread. Tried to delete this one, but wasn't allowed. What's up with that?

I will miss Judy very, very much. I've emailed Judy and I, too, found her to be very gracious and very sweet. Judy is one of my favorite hosts and I've always found her to be honest, sincere and very down to earth. She's a classy lady and deserves all the happiness that she seems to have found. I'll miss her greatly.

Hi Everyone, It seems that a lot of the hosts are leaving recently. We get so familiar with them, we think they are kind of like family and then when they leave it feels like losing one of our own. Judy will be missed as well as Jane and Kim and some of the others

hey, all. i got an e-mail from kim and craig the other day. they've been traveling, taking advantage of her hiatus. she said they're committed to updating the website, so please don't stop checking in. she hasn't decided yet what's next for her, but she sounds very happy and very relaxed.

When I purchase something from QVC, it is only something Judy has recommended. She is truly a lady and she will certainly be missed. If anyone should have happiness, it is Judy!

I agree. She seems like a beautiful woman inside and out. She does act happier since she married Paul so I hope it works out for the two of them.

Does anyone remember, many moons ago, when Judy Crowell got sort of mysteriously (or at least quickly) divorced from a co-host who's name I think was Jeff? All of a sudden he was off the show and she was no longer married to anyone. What happened?

Hi-

The best description of whatever happened with Judy and Jeff is found in Kathy Levine's book. You won't find that kind of dishing anywhere else.

Cool, thanks for the answer. I've been dying to know that, for what reason I can't really say.

I forgot about Kathy Levin also. She really fell off the edge of the Earth when she left QVC. I didn't know she left on bad terms.

Kathy Levine has got her own line on HSN now. Has anyone seen her?

Robie, according to some other threads on this BB, it seems that Kathy Levine is still at HSN, but won't continue selling her own line of fashions. That line was "Kathy Levine - By Request". Apparently, it bombed. I've read comments to that effect on other threads here, too. I saw her numerous times on HSN & thought her things were rather bad. Some of these posters have inside info in some areas, & seem to think Kathy will still remain employed by HSN, but might return to being a show host, or a vendor trainer, or something other than having her own line of fashions. It's amazing what one can learn by reading all these threads!!

Hope this info helps!

I saw some of the clothes Kathy was selling and its no wonder the line bombed. They were pretty awful looking to me. I know I'm just a guy and don't really know fashions but I know what I like and Kathys line wasn't it.
