Does anyone know if there is any truth to the rumor that Iris (the plus-size model)is becoming a QVC show host? Jacque G. eluded to it at one time but I never heard anything more. I just love Iris...I think she's a hoot and would do a great job.

The only new hosts I've heard that are coming are the ones the audience will vote for in May for the big host search.

As for models I always thought Dorian was tailor made to be a host.

I like Iris, she has such a great attitude. If the rumor is true than this will be the same as Renai Ellison. She started as a model, become a host, and now a vendor( I don't want that last one to happen to Iris). If Iris was in the host search, i know I would vote for her! With Jane gone and Judy leaving there is a spot open for a new host... Maybe Iris will become a host but not though the host search. She has been there a while, so the talent she has should make her a host - no competing in the host search.

I don't see Iris as a host and Dorian's days are over at QVC. If she were comming back she would have been back by now. Besides, do either of them have a collage degree which I think you need to be a host now.

Trina would be the pick for a model to be host, as much as she is on she should know most of the products better then the host do.

Rick Domeier made a joke about Dorian trying out as a host last year when he worked with her once but I found out that wasn't true. Jacque said Iris should try out to be a host but I heard Iris doesn't want the job (and working mostly overnights for at least a year at the beginning). Iris probably makes more as a model than she would as a host anyway. Rebecca tried out when Jacque got her job (I heard Jacque mention this on air one time when Rebecca was the model and said she thought Rebecca did a great job in the tryouts; Rebecca told Jacque she wasn't going to try out again. I read recently that QVC may not only hire whomever the viewers pick but all the finalists, that they're all that good.

Dorian's days may not be over yet. Bianca was a very popular model who got into a fight with a few models several years ago. She wasn't on for quite a while but did return eventually; then Bianca left after getting married. Last year Bianca was on several times during the summer. Of course Dorian may not be back while Angela is there.

I LOVE Iris--and with her vivacious personality, I think she'd be a terific host!

It takes more than personality to be a terrific host.

Bianca got married and moved out west, thats way she lefted. She comes back 2 or 3 times a year, that may be to keep in good standings with that union. That can be done so that she does not have to pay to get back into that one.

As far as Dorian, if she did fight and started it, QVC had better get rid of her, because next time if someone gets hurt, QVC can get in a lot of trouble knowing Dorian can't control herself.

But who did you hear it from, someone who likes Dorian better ? stories do favor the one from who ever is talking at the time.

On something like this, I would just let it go. If Angela was the one who started it, but they fired Dorian and not Angela, Dorian has a nice lawsuit on QVC. I don't think QVC would be that stupid to fire Dorian if she was not guilty of something. I'm not a betting guy, but I would bet that the story that is going around is not the whole truth

No I didn't hear it from someone who is a friend of Dorian. Not all the models get along or the hosts for that matter. I have to laugh when hosts say QVC is one big happy family; they are not.

I can imagine that with the pressures of live TV 24/7 and all those models and hosts, there are bound to be people that can't stand each other.

I must live in the twilight zone. I watch QVC a lot. More than I care to admit to and I have NO idea who most of these models are. Y'all are eagle eyes! I, of course, know Joy. As she is one almost all my fave make-up shows and I know Maria and Thea. But that is about all I could pick out in a line-up! I wish there was a model guide! I feel lost!

I love that Kerri! Normally I prefer brunettes over blondes but that girl has a little bit of Dorian in her.

Well Kerri worked with Dorian quite often last year; they even went to Arizona together with Paul Deasy for a live gemstone show. Funny I always preferred blondes until Dorian came along (not to mention long hair on women but I got used to the short cut).
