My first philosophy too!

Just ordered my first philosophy item - the Cologne "Pure Grace". Someone in another thread said they didn't like it 'cause it smelled too much like Coppertone. I love the smell of Coppertone! I always thought, if they could make a fragrance out of it, I'd buy it in a heartbeat! We'll see how it is. I can always return if I'm disappointed.

Has anyone tried Pure Grace?

welcome to philosophy land. we are happy to have you here. i just tried my sample of pure grace and i was instantly in love. i agree with you. coppertone is one of the best smells in the entire world. i am beach girl at heart.

Hello, HHIgirl! Yes, don't you just think of summer days at the beach whenever you smell Coppertone? I hardly ever wear fragrance because a) hubby has asthma and we have to be careful about triggering that, and 2) I get mild migraines and smells are one of my triggers. I do love anything that smells fresh and clean, not sweet and heavy.

Hi, Karen & HHI girl,

I've never tried Philosophy, but am now tempted to give their fragrance a try. I love clean, "green", & fresh-smelling colognes, & not the overly sweet, heavy, cloying scents. I, too, always thought Coppertone smelled great! How do you get a sample of Pure Grace? Do you have to order another Philosophy product? My face is just way too oily (even at my ripe old age!) so I am extremely careful about any new product I try for my face. Mostly I just wash with Neutrogena soap for oily skin. I'd love to get a sample of that cologne if I didn't have to buy another product in order to receive it. Anybody know how I could do that?

If there is a Sephora store near you, they carry it there. I am not sure but if you call Philosophy (1-800-568-3151) they will most likely send you the sample. Explain to them about your situation. I have found them most accomodating.

Another scent y'all may want to try is "Message in a Bottle". It smells like the ocean. All the beach girls will love it. There is a bubble bath and a spritz. They are available at Philosophy.com and SPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAM.com.

This is how much I love my Philosophpy. I carry the catalog around in my day planner!

Thanks so much for the info! I'll give Philosophy a call & see if they'll send me a little sample. I am not familiar with the store, Sephora, so will call Philosophy directly. Thanks for the other fragrance name, too. The only 2 scents I currently wear are the Pear Glace from Victoria Secret, & Green Tea by Elizabeth Arden. I'd be happy to find additional scents for a bit of a change.
