This was an awesome one time only. I got the bombshell/runaway duo. These went quick! I was ready to order online and then I got a technical error so I raced to the phone for automated ordering. Anyone else order lip glosses? Smashbox is the best with lip glosses.

Oh yeah baby! :) I got the Vapor/Shoot combo. Wanted the Desire/Mystery combo too, but it ran out before I could order. But, earlier, I (finally broke down and) got the mini gloss collection so I'll get those two to try in that.
I don't do big color (like red or pink) so I'll just keep the minis I like and sell the rest (unopened) on ebay. :) heh
I just couldn't resist. Almost got another eyeliner palette but decided I didn't need one just yet. I love that set!

Good for you! I'm sure you'll enjoy them! I love the mini glosses. I got those when they had them during the holidays.

Yeah, I've had my eye on them for a LONG time. I know there are probably 3 of them I will really like. And they are so CUTE! LOL
I also like Smashbox lipliners. I use two in combination every day. Then a 3 lipstick combo followed by a gloss. I found that if I put the Foundation Primer on my lips too it makes my lip makeup stay on most of the day!

What color lip liner do you use by Smashbox? Are the liners good for the lips? I noticed some lip liners dry my lips.

I used Media first, then I apply powder. Then I use Cafe Latte before adding the lipsticks & gloss. I use some real rich lipsticks, some of them have shea butter, and that keeps the dryness away.
I tend to use neutral/beigey/coffee-type shades so those liner colors work well for me.
Plus, my only moisturizer is aloe vera gel so I also put that on my lips before applying the Foundation Primer and other cosmetics.

Sounds like you have your own system. It sounds like it would look nice.

I managed to buy Pout/Evoke, before it sold out..I bought the mini-glosses last time they had them and I love them... all the colors.. even the red's, that really are sheer. that was a good deal with that One-Time Only.... also bought the TSV yesterday.

Shopgirl - bummer ya missed it! They were less than $20 for two full-size glosses. (Regularly $26) They went so fast, however, that you had to be right there when the presentation started! Yup, it was 11pm Eastern time (8pm REAL time) hehe

spooie,
Can I ask for your recommendation of a good brand of aloe vera gel? I went to Health Food store and found different varieties, brands, strenths and ways of applying (they had a spray).
Which brand do you use, if I may ask?
Thanks in advance.

I am so sad. I totally missed out on the one time only. But I did get ANOTHER set of the mini glosses, they rock!
Aloe Vera. The best Aloe Vera you can buy (IMHO) is the Hawaiian Tropic Aloe Vera gel. It is the BEST! I had third degree sun burns on my face and that is what the hospital used on me and sent me home with. We kept in the fridge and a tiny bit goes along wayyyyy. AND, I healed without scarring! I promise you will love it!

I've always liked the Banana Boat brand but it does have a small amount of alcohol in it. This time I bought "Fruit of the Earth" which has no alcohol AND no animal testing (which is important to me!). HTH! :)
I think there are a lot of brands out there. I just watch for other ingredients like some of them that have ingredients specifically for soothing sunburns because I don't need that. I just use it for an oil/grease free moisturizer & keeping those wrinkles away! :)

I love the "Fruit of the Earth" one but there is not one place in stinking Cleveland that carries it. I have found it on SPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAM.com once in awhile.

I don't know where you live, but I've also found it (in the large bottle!) at Raley's. If you're in the western part of the U.S., you might have this chain but I don't think they're back East.

I am in Cleveland, Ohio. The land of Wal-marts and K-marts. WOOOHOO! Martha Stewart is an art form here! lol. Oh and we just recently started getting Walgreen's!

Sorry to hear some of you missed out on the lip glosses. I happened to be watching and Jill mentioned during her show that they would have the one time only with the smashbox glosses. Jill was just as excited. She said she uses them. I also noticed that Jill has been wearing Birkenstocks the last few times I've seen her. So to those people that said the hosts don't wear the things they sell, Jill proved you wrong. She actually has been pleasant to watch lately. I think deep down she is a great person. She may come across differently at times but I think she means well.

Princess - I'll admit I don't think she's a BAD host. For me, I just don't care for her. She just rubs me the wrong way, Know what I mean? I think, for me, it's just more about HER than her ability. Just like Bob B...he's not a BAD host. I just don't like him.
Now, Lynn Murphy on hsn...she is a bad host AND she gives me the creeps! LOL That is one I simply cannot STAND to watch! I could go on all day about the things about her that I don't like! Thankfully, I don't watch that network much anyway.

Hey spooie, I understand what you said about Jill rubbing you the wrong way. I guess that's how I feel about Patti and Jacque. Patti's voice really annoys me so that turns me off from watching her and Jacque seems phony. I was expecting to get responses regarding my defense of Jill. We're all entitled to our opinions.

Thanks for understanding! :)
I used to like Jacque but she seems (IMO anyway) to have changed. I emailed her once a long time ago to support her when some old bag called and gave her a ration of sh*t about how she talked. It was really rude and I just wanted to tell her that I thought she was doing a good job. The next week I got a response FROM SOMEBODY ELSE saying that she just didn't have time to read/respond to her emails. WTF? Ok then. And lately she just seems different than I used to think she was.
Well, I don't wish any of them ill will and, hey, I'm sure lots of people don't like me but it's fun being able to swap opinions! :)

What does IMO mean?
spooie

Sorry Denim&Co! In chat-speak it means 'in my opinion'.
IMHO = in my humble opinion
IMNSHO = in my not so humble opinion
