Maybe I am being too picky but I am very frustrated. For those of you who had read my ring dilemma, well I decided to exchange the two diamonique rings for yellow gold instead of white and also a different size and I specified this on the instruction sticky that they send you. Well, I received email today that they are sending me out refund checks. Now that is all good and well however, now I must REORDER THE RINGS...thus having to wait again. That sort of defeats the purpose in my opinion as I sent a check (do not have a cc) and had to wait long enough. Did they not read the instructions?? Anyway I guess I should be thankful they accept checks. But honestly I am not happy with the way the transaction went and probably will not reorder the rings at all.

Oh yeah and I made a complaint by phone and they said they can do nothing for me but I am sorry, they knew I was unhappy and the least they could have done was offer free shipping on the reorder of the rings but I guess they would rather lose a customer.

Why should you get free shipping on different color gold rings if YOU changed your mind? That's not their mistake.

but they made the mistake because I asked for an EXCHANGE, not a refund so now instead I must wait for the money nack, by check NOT cc. ( I don't have a cc) and then I must reorder the same rings but different color and size and will have to wait again instead of them just reading the return form WHERE I SPECIFIED as per instructions that I wanted an EXCHANGE NOT a refund.

juliemomof, I had a similar experience once. QVC sent me the wrong earrings. I checked off on the return slip that I had received the wrong ones and under comments I wrote that I wanted the ones I had ordered. They refunded my money instead. Eventually everything was straightened out, but like you said, I had to wait longer than I should have. Usually their customer service is top notch, but this seems to be an area where they are lacking. I hope if you decide you do want the rings that you'll reorder them. I know it can be frustrating, but maybe having some pretty new jewelry will help you forget this experience. :-)

I feel your pain. I am having issues with their lack of customer service as well. Almost everything we have ordered in the past week as gone back because it was defective! What happened to their quality assurance? And, we requested for two items to be put on easy pay and they never did it! Just went right ahead and charged for the FULL amount. Also, we ordered earrings from a southwest show. They were never sold out. However, on the day we were to receive the earrings (I had already received the confirmation email that they were sent on such and such day) we received a letter stating that they unfortunately did sell out and there were not any left for us. AND THEY STILL CHARGED ME FOR THE BLASTED EARRINGS!!!!! It took me 3 phone calls to get that charged removed. More ofthen that not, as of late it has been nothing but TROUBLE. Which is a shame. Being as that I am disabled and cannot always get out of the house it really is "Convience". I guess QVC should change their name to QVT. Quality, Value and TRouble! They are infidels!!!!!

Hi Pookie and Hhigirl and thank you for your responses and support and I am sorry to hear also of your experiences. I gotta admit that I was cranky this morning and it is tom for me :( joys of being female..ha ha....I did indeed decide to reorder and not let this one experience turn me off because I do think there diamonique is good quality even though I did not care for the first rings in the white gold. I don't know why but I guess I am more a yellow gold girl than a white gold one. This time I am taking advice of some of the sweet ladies here who gave me such great help in deciding on a wedding ring set. I am getting the 1 carat engagement ring that Lisa M used to wear, and instead of the anniversary band I had originally got to go with it,( the two rings together were just a bit too much sparkle for my taste I guess) I have chosen a pretty gold band ring. ( One of you ladies here suggested to me that since I thought the original two rings I ordered were just a bit too much , that I try just the engagement ring with a plain gold band) Thank you for the suggestion. The item numbers, in case anyone is interested in seeing them, are J17856 and J02017
I think they will look very pretty together as a set and by all means if any of you diamonique gals have any opinions on these two rings together or any others, I am always up for hearing your opinions! :)
This board is so fun to read and of course there are so many sweeties here willing to offer help when needed! Thank you.

Jules..isn't this board just the best when you are all PMSy? You can get out your frustrations in words! And we are all here to listen and make you laugh! Your alternative wedding set sounds pretty. I loved that one that Lisa Mason wore. It was just so understated and elegant. I am the opposite of you. I like shiny and sparkly. I am a crow!!!! And I love white metals. Drives my Sicilian family nuts that I won't sport their beloved 18k gold rope necklaces with their crazy medallions, good luck horns, crucifixes and miraculous medals. Yes, my family reunion does look like an episode of "The Soparanos".

I, too, feel all you ladies' pain with customer service screw-ups as I've had a few myself even after specifically writing instructions on the return slip in big red letters! The most recent one was with a Breezies bra that they issued a credit on instead of exchanging it for the correct size like I asked. Oh well, whatcha gonna do except order again or quit them altogether?
Juliemomof, your choice of rings for a wedding set sound beautiful; I myself have worn a diamonique band for my wedding ring for six years now. It's a piece that's retired, but its a wide yellow gold band with the pave stones all across the front. They have similar ones, but none of them look as wide as mine. I love it even though I have short fingers, but with a set of fake nails, it looks great! I also have several rings "for the other hand" as they say on Q, and I am a yellow gold girl as well.

Lol HHIGIRL!! Well your Sicilian family sounds quite alot like my hubby's wonderfully large Hispanic family. They all wear yellow gold like crazy too and same with the medals and crosses! I can relate...lol....I guess for me I am just so used to the yellow gold although that is not to say I don't think the white gold looks stunning because it does..just not on me..I guess..lol
Mom2boys, your ring sounds beautiful...I sure wish you could post a pic of it. I don't know, can we post pics here? I would love to see your ring though!

Jules, yup our metal preferences are strictly are own. On some women gold is absolutley stunning, on me it just looks out of place.
Your Husband is Hispanic? What a fun boisterous group your are married to, they sound like a party waiting to happen.

HHIGIRL, you are such a sweetie and yes, you have that right, they definitely are a party waiting to happen. In my husband's family, any of the kids' birthdays is not just your average b-day party, it is like a major event! I am from a fairly small family in Wisconsin and when I met and later married hubby this was all new to me...the b-day bashes where every single aunt, uncle, cousin, great aunt, great great aunt, second cousin..third cousin..was invited and SHOWED UP TOO! lol...At first it was a bit overwhelming but we ended up moving from his hometown of Tucson, Az to my hometown in Wisconsin and I gotta say, I miss his family ( and those large parties) dearly!!!
HHIGIRL would it be off base for me to ask your first name? I can tell by your posts that you are so kind!

Hey you! My first name is Jen. And that wasn't off base at all :)What part of Wisconsin? I grew up in Whitefish Bay. Right outside of Milwaukee. I adored growing up there and I miss it and I miss Bratwurst!!!

Hi Jen! Oh wow, small world. I am actually from the Fox Valley..Neenah to be exact but I live next door in Menasha now.
Hah ha ha BRATWURST!!! When I lived in California and Arizona, most people there never even heard of Bratwurst!!!
May I ask where you are living now? I totally understand if you don't answer that. I realize we have to be careful about personal info on the net. That is so cool that you grew up here though.

Juliemomof, I don't know either about posting pictures. But the way I got my ring is a little strange. Back when Joan's husband Edgar was still alive and I used to see her on the old Carson show all the time, I noticed her wedding ring looked like just a band of diamonds, no solitaire, and I thought that was just the classiest thing I had ever seen. Then several years later around 1995, People did an article on various stars' wedding rings with close-up shots of all the rings, and Connie Chung was wearing the same type of pave diamond band I hadn't seen since Joan several years before. Flash forward a couple of more years, and I see the Diamonique/14 kt gold version one night on QVC and almost faint, I wanted it so bad. But alas, I was divorced and destitute with two young sons and could not afford the $365 price tag. The ring sells out, I never see it again, another year goes by, I meet my prince charming (whom I prompty chewed out for waiting so long to show up in my life. He proposed on the third date and we were married after a six week courtship. I used a plain gold band to get married, but now I desperately wanted to find that blasted Diamonique band. I search the net and find out its no longer stocked. I poured my heart out in a letter to Kathy Levine, she hands it over to customer service with instructions to go to the warehouse "and find this lady that ring." A wonderful lady from Q calls me at home, tells me they found one, and promptly sent it to me. I have been enjoying its beauty and all the compliments that come with it ever since, and no one has a clue its Diamonique (I've never told ... lol!)

I am in Cleveland, Ohio now. Living on another Great Lake. But this one actually gets up to 72 degrees in the summer so you can swim in it without freezing your genechtazoid off of your bod. We showed Afghan Hounds and our breeder was from West Bend. About once a month we would take the pilgrimage up north to Door County and in the winter we made the ultimate of Haj of Lambeau Field. Hail Vince Lombardi! We are still die hard Packers fans!!!!!! We are also still die hard Marquette U basketball fans as well, and so is SBTZMOM. SHe has been MIA as of late as she has that pesky thing called a job. She is a teacher and doing year ends so she will return to us a very soon.
I hear about the no Brats in Cali. I lived in Orange Country for years and no one know what the heck I was talking about. Of course not of my friends ate meat EXCEPT for the occassional IN and OUT Burger.

Oh Momof, what a fascinating story of how you got your ring. It was fate! Now I definitely have to see it! How wonderful of Kathy Levine to do that for you also. I am so glad you found your Mr. right also.

Hi Jen. Door County is so nice, I wouldn't mind living there. Funny you mention in and out burger because that was one of my favorite fast food joints in California! yeah and it is funny that the californians never heard of Brats but then again, us midwesterners never heard of FISH TACOS either..lol!!!

julieofmom, yes it was nice for Kathy to do that for me, so imagine my disappointment when she left QVC. I wrote her a letter when she first announced she would be going just to thank her for what she did for me and to tell her how greatly she would be missed. I don't get HSN where I live now, but when I used to watch it all the hosts seemed like carnival barkers to me or something, not nearly as classy as QVC. I just couldn't imagine Kathy on there, and I'm glad I never saw it with my own eyes LOL!

OMG!! Too funny about carnival barkers. That is actually how I have always referred to that channel. It is such schlock. One night they were going on about why it was a better investment to buy 10k as opposed to 14k or 18k. I almost threw something threw the TV. If I had my way HSN would never make it on, but mom does shopping channel checks at ever commercial. So annoying!!

I see I'm not alone in my feelings about HSN! I have to admit, however, that back when I used to get it, I got hooked on Adrien Arpel's skincare and still use it to this day, even though I can only get it through their website. But that's okay by me, I don't want to watch them, I just want the skin stuff. I will also give high marks to the Serious Skin Care line; I tried my teenage boys on Pro Active and it only made them worse, never better. After a few more over-the-counter products that didn't work, I broke down and ordered Jennifer Stallone's stuff, and it has truly worked wonders on my 17 year old. I've had it on auto-delivery for him for about a year now and his skin looks so much better and clearer. I like Adrien's face cream because you get a huge jar for about $28.00 (and can sometimes find 2 for 1 specials on the net, which is great), and everybody else's products just seem so expensive for such small amounts. I will be 43 this summer and someone recently guessed my age at 35, so needless to say, I will stick with what works!!! Other than that, I do not miss HSN on my TV at all ... lol!

To Juliemomof: I think you've made the right decision about your new choice of rings. I bet you can't wait to get them. When's the wedding date?
To momtoboys: Thanks for sharing your wonderful ring story. I can tell you're still enjoying glancing down at your beautiful ring.

Juliemomof, I looked the item numbers up for your rings, and they will be beautiful together!
Since I have no clue how to get a picture of my ring posted, the closest thing QVC has to it is #J96495. That is a sterling eternity ring, but imagine it in 14 kt. yellow gold with the stones going only halfway around, and that's pretty much it. I just didn't want a solitaire the second time around (even though QVC has some really beautiful ones); I wanted something completely different, and to me, a pave band is the perfect example of "understated elegance." Is anybody else out there wearing Diamonique for their wedding ring(s)? If so, please share item numbers so we can all ogle!!!!
