but, can we all try to stay on topic of the Subject line? If I'm away for a couple of days, I have to read each and every post just to catch up on thangs. I'm guilty of this and I'm just sayin' this for my own selfish needs, but can we all try to start a new subject if the topic seems to wind off in another direction? LOL. What do you all think? Am I crampin' anyone's style??

I don't know Doc. I think that'll be very hard for most of us to do.
I'll give it a try though if you like.

Ah, I may be asking for too much. I'll just try not to be away from my keyboard for long periods of time.

I think it's a great idea & actually the true purpose of a forum like this. The tangents people get on are quite something, but I know it's a natural thing. One person writes something, then others want to comment, & next thing we know, an entirely different subject is being discussed than the title of the thread would indicate. I agree that it's therefore very difficult to get all the info we'd like to get when it's necessary to read every single thread. Takes up way, way too much time!! So, DocLove, I think you are onto something here, if everyone would at least attempt to comply. Never hurts to try anyway!! Good idea!

I promise I will try. But my brains just starts working and the fingers start a flying and then...it is like 180 posts later and we are way off topic. How the heck we can go from Honora pearls to does a bear sh** in the woods on one thread is beyond me. I know I am the perpetrator of most of this crime. But I wil TRY to better!!!! And it is a grand idea!

Well, I'm glad I've got a few takers on this offer. I'll be the first to admit, I do the SAME thing. I start on one subject and off I go on a tangent about something else. I'll try to do better job about staying on topic (or starting a new thread for my tangent).

Wow, that's gonna put a cramp in my style. Dunno if I can stay on topic or not, I'm genetically predisposed to free-associate and go off on tangents that have nothing to do with the original topic. Guess all I can do is grit my teeth, take a slug of something highly intoxicating and do my bestest.
...this ain't gonna be pretty...

I hear ya Doc, and sorry for doing just that on other threads. And you're right, once I'm away from my computer for the weekend (I never turn it on at home - no time), I will come back on Monday completely lost. So I will do my best to stay on topic as well, even though I am a true southerner and do the tangent thing quite well!

Doc, I am so sorry. I am trying very hard but I seem to have to be channeling my true "southern spirit" and I just keep going off in a different orbit. I am SO organized in everything else except thoughts. I am adding this to the two biggest battles in my life. The practice of forgiveness and keeping on thought to a thread.
