I am going to feel might disloyal posting this so with apologies to Chanel mascara and Lancome Intencils. The Smashbox lash builder duo rocked! My mom is so jealous that my lashes look even longer ( don't hate me, I was unusually blessed with eyelashes and NO BOOBS-thank the Lord for waterbras). The mascara is the blackest black I have ever used and it doesn't get all clumpy. I think it will take me a few days to get the hang of the lash builder stuff, but I really like it. I was a complete dunder head and ordered the wrong color. My hair is blonde (thank you, Miss Julie) but my eyebrows are dark. I ordered blonde and I don't think the browtech looks right. I do like the product. So if anyone needs an untouched browtech for blonde. let me know. I will send it your way. I love the glosses and the blush was so natural. I am even startign to feel a bit disloyal to Miss Carlino. I think I like the Smashbox blush better (horrors! ) than the Philosophy cheek and lip tint.

I was going to get the Smashbox TSV just for the blonde
browtech but decided not to because I wouldn't be using
anything else. My skin is so sensitive--I do best with
BE. Would love the blonde browtech--I'm new to board--
how would we do this? By the way, I have Sjogren's also--
not lupus--but with Crohn's. I just did a trial of new
eyedrops that can treat disease, not just lubricate.
Am blanking at name--but it's basically cyclosporine
in drops. Also, HHI, wanted to tell you that I edited
Henrietta Aladjem's book about 12 years ago. Anybody
who wants to know how she founded the Lupus Foundation
should read her first book, "The Sun is my Undoing."

Hi HHIGirl,

Thank you for the comments on the Smashbox TSV; I have it on waitlist. I am a brunette with MANY highlights, so I ordered the taupe brow tech, which I have previously used and love it! I waited too long to order it as I kept thinking I have B.E. so I don't need it. I actually ordered it primarily for the mascara and eye lash builder. I have no lashes AND no boobs; bummer - LOL! I have tried Laura Geller's, but it gets into my eyes and with my immume system, I am proned to eye infections. I can't use Philosophy's skin tint, as I have splotchy skin from sun damage and medication, and the color seems to settle in those areas. It works great for my best friend, who has flawless skin.

Have you tried any of the Barely Breezies Bras? There is actually one that comes in an "A" cup, and provides support without caving in, if you lie down. I hope you understand that statement. I have progressed and been promoted from camisoles/"undershirts" to bras, thanks to Barely Breezies. I hope that this is not TMI!!! LOL

I am jealous that you have your Smashbox TSV! I ordered it in the morning, got a case of the guilts, so I cancelled it online....Then I went home at lunch, watched the demo, and ordered the blonde, but it was on waitlist already! ARRGGHHHH! I too, wanted to try the browtech. Is is really good? Hopefully I won't have to wait too long for it.

I visited the Smashbox counter at my local Marshall Field's Saturday....Boy, when they have the stuff in a TSV, we really make out like bandits! My sister bought a bunch of the same stuff all individually for over 150 bucks. I did get the eyeshadow quad "illusions", I think.....Anybody else use that?

Thank you so much for posting about the Lupus foundation. I truly appreciate it. The Sjogren's is annoying isn't it? I am currently fighing another crazy bought of increased white cells because I am so dehydrated as a result. My eyeballs feel like sand paper.

Too funny about your boobies situation. I too have a similar problem but thanks to high dose prednisone I had a small burst of puberty! I got water bras to make me look like an adult. I had a hard time with breezies. They just never fit right and I was so disappointed because I SO excited to receive them. When you are the size of a mosquito it is hard to buy things without trying them on, such a bummer.

I am so glad to see you again Judy. You and your elegant language were sorely missed. And your wonderful sense of humor as well.

I just got my lip glosses. Not the mini set, but the pair that were on One Time Only. I like 'em! :)

HHIgirl--sorry to hear about your health...I will include you in our nightly prayers. My husband will be relieved that I am finally including a PERSON! He gets mad at me as most of my prayers are for my four-legged furry friends! You know when in church, they do the petitions out loud and you can ask the church to pray out loud for someone? I am always elbowing my husband and asking him to say out loud whatever pet of the week needs prayers, and I just get incredibly evil looks in return! So, he'll be relieved to have a person included (just better not tell him where we met--next to the pet thing, his next pet peeve with me is my obsession with QVC!)

Lancaster, go ahead and email me your address and I will send you the brow tech. It is pristine and has not been touched! :)

Jen,

Thank you for your kind words. I missed your posts as well.

Regarding our common boobies problem, the barely breezies bra with the "A" cup is the only bra I have ever found that truly fits. When I was watching the Wacoal program and Jill was discussing the need for a minimizer bra, I was screaming: "Share the wealth!!!" LOL

I refuse to shop for a bra in a department store, as I am relegated to the pre-teen department and when asked how old my daughter is, I run for cover!!!

Seriously, I am so sorry about the prednisone. I had to take it for a short period of time to tame my asthma, which occasionally acts up.

I will email you about my doll collection, as there is a lot to tell -what a surprise - Judy talking alot!

Hope that you feel better.

Oh, how I'd love to share the wealth with you, Astute. Now that I play softball, I have to strap those boobies down so that I can run. If I ever get a breast reduction surgery, I'll send you mine. :)

About prednizone....I practically have to live on it to live! (Severe asthma)...Does anyone know of anything else that helps? Prednizone has made me gain a heck of alot of weight, which depresses me even more...I feel like I am in a catch-22. I HATE being overweight...the dr's always say, yes, but you're alive. But life is VERY depressing overweight. I am not happy...besides that, even taking prednizone, I still wheeze and have trouble. Please pray for me!

Judy, my prayers are with you. I have had to take prednisone in the past, and it is miserable gaining weight and not being able to do anything about it. I am still overweight, and don't have the prednisone to blame for it! :-) HHIgirl, I wish I had purchased the Smashbox TSV! The only cosmetics I use are BE, but it sounds like I may have to give something in the Smashbox line a try! What would you suggest for a first purchase?

Y'all are going to hate me. I have been on prednisone since I was 14 and I am now 38 and when I have surgery it is done IV. I am the one percent that loses weight on Prednisone and oddly, so is my father. He has COPD and Congestive Heart Failure and we are on the same maintenance dose. I do get the wild sugar cravings, but I jsut have a "taste" of something and that cures and I usually dont swallow whatever the sweet is.

Omg, I hear you about the preteen dept. It is like that when I go to Gapkids to shop for me. They ask me they age of my kids and I tell them it is for me. Sure embarasses them. My boyfriends daughter is actually bigger than me and she is 11. Even her bra size is larger than me!

Ok for your first smashbox purchase I recommend the lipglosses and the lash builder kit. That is the single best mascara I have ever used and I was a Lancome Intensils devotee until my TSV arrived last week. The "Layout" set of 8 mini lipglosses really is like having collagen injections (according to Miss Robertson). I have not tried this yet but all the Smashboxer lovers adore the palm beach lip pencil. The blush and lip tint that came in the TSV was outstanding as well as the eyeshadows. I have green eyes and they look even greener with their color infusion and it doesn't irritate my eyes! The other "must have" is the "Pout" lipgloss. YOu can use it alone or over absolutely everything. Astute, did I forget anything?

If we have blonde hair, then what color do we order for the browtech? I also have blonde hair but dark eyebrows.

You girls are talking me into some Smashbox items. haha

Regarding the Smashbox browtech colors:
I went to Sephora over the weekend to try the colors, unsure whether the taupe or auburn was better for me. When I LOOKED at the taupe, I immediately thought it was too light, and that the brunette would be closer, because taupe appears nearly as light as the blonde. However, when I actually used the taupe, it was plenty dark. I'm thinking that perhaps the blonde works this way, too...that you cannot tell the actual color just by looking at it. In fact, a better gauge would be to remember how dark Holly's eyebrows look and she wears the blonde.

Jeez, I'm going to have to buy quite a few Smashbox items now! Thank you HHIgirl for the suggestions! I'm addicted to beauty products, and wish I had more money so that I could buy whatever whenever! They sound great though. I have green eyes also, so the product that makes them stand out sounds cool.

My first Smashbox purchase was the cream eyeliner. LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!! I was actually never able to put eyeliner on the top lids before I met Smashbox. Now I have almost every color! Great stuff.

Got my mini lip glosses today. Sooooo cute!! Gonna keep the four I like & sell the other 4 on ebay. :)

Does Smashbox offer any corals or peaches because everything I see on QVC and their website is red, pink, brown, or rose.

From what I have seen online and in person I don't recall seeing any corals. I used to use a lot of that color and then my skin went pink again. Long story. So I am back to the same dang colors I wore for the WORST 4 years of my life, HIGH SCHOOL. Dum de dum dum DDUMMMMMM!!!!

Thanks, HHIgirl! I haven't seen any peaches or corals except for some Mojave Magic. I found one shade of lipstick by Estee Lauder that's sheer enough. Most coral lipsticks and gloss are shiny and/or bright. MORE SHEER PEACHY CORALS IN THE BEAUTY PRODUCTS, QVC!!
By the way, do a color match a local cosmetics counter you like. They're free, and then you know your best colors, and you go find them in cheaper brands and cheaper prices.
