Good heavens! here we go again. This is a board where people post stuff about QVC and our love of shopping. We don't know each other other than the person we choose to portray on the board, which may or may not be the truth and may change from day to day,board to board. that's the beauty of the internet. no one really knows for sure. that is all this is. this isn't a lonely hearts club. this isn't something that is going to change the world or even our individual lives all that much. it's an internet board for people who are bored and want to chit chat about QVC, shopping, the products on QVC, the people on QVC, etc. We all need to put on our big girl panties and deal with it. The question of where are all the posts can be easily answered: people are sick and tired of having to watch every word, every thought, make everything politically correct, timely, cheery, etc. this is supposed to be fun, and lately, it ain't!

It is very hurtful. I happen to like analogies and use them often. So, please allow me this one...

The pendulum swings both ways when it's working. When it's not working, it's static and useless. On the other hand, when it swings too far and too hard in either direction, the whole damn clock breaks!

Can anyone besides me find a similarity in our 'challenge' here as bulletin board participants? Not that we should be 'vanilla' (hovering near the middle and stagnant), without firm opinions. But the times that I've really enjoyed this bb have been the extended periods of a good blend of varying "styles" and subject matter. By styles, I mean the way posters express themselves and "sound"....also in what they decide to share here.

Why must this bb focus ONLY on QVC chit chat, gossip, product info., etc.? Granted, that is what this forum was offered for. But let's face it, we'd have to be QVC's own version of "Stepford" people for us to keep ourselves from communicating about other aspects of our lives! I believe that this bb would be excrutiatingly boring if it consisted of only QVC-oriented messages! There's only so much that can be written about the hosts, the products, the customer service (or lack thereof), or QVC park. The viewers and customers (that would be US!!!) are what keeps QVC alive, so why not celebrate who we are??? Some of us choose to be more "warm and fuzzy" than those who prefer to be on the dry side and perhaps seek only surface stuff along with the "laughs". Fine! So what's so difficult about that? It's really self-defeating to the perpetuation of the activity here to cast aspertions on posters who are not "just like you" (in whichever "style" corner you may exist)! "Putting on big girl panties" is a cute catch-phrase and is one of those sayings that become very popular for awhile. But to some, that simplifying way of determining what's OK and not OK is just not the way THEY do things. I can very much see it both ways. That doesn't make me 'vanilla' and boring (at least I'm pretty confident about that?); just adaptable.

Why was everybody fighting on this thread? If we care about each other the way we claim, we should not argue with each other. Differing ideas are healthy...it's what makes our country so interesting. Doggylover you are absolutely right. The problem arose when people were getting nasty and insulting. They were posting hurtful things about people, and the arguing ensued.

I agree that we are entitled to our opinions, and we should voice them, but not to hurt or insult. We have voted not to respond to these people when they post hurtful and insulting words. That's how the FIVE ALIVE motto was born.

OMG--go back three or four weekends ago. Yes would be the answer. Very sweet, sucks you in, then gets mental. Yankee's MASTERPIECE, and it was truly a masterpiece, was about this poster. That was my final straw with the situation. It was pretty ugly, but Curvi and I were hilarious in one of them, I must say so myself. In fact, I consider the cool blue waters post on that from Curvi a classic, and next to impossible to top. If you want to bust a gut, read it.

Turtlelady, I don't always read all the posts. I read the ones I get email alerts from. So, I found one response to DL that I posted on Memorial Weekend, but I didnt find anything negative. Even SBTZmom said something similar to what I did.

I had no idea that DL was one of the trolls and to be aware of that person. Last night I couldnt stick around for the end result because we were going out. When I came back, I didnt see anything on email alerts, so I went nighty nite.

I think someone who has been around a while should make a troll list for the newbies.

Bev, I wasn't trying to make you feel badly...it was just so odd. As far as making lists of the trolls I think you knew the original garbage peddlers there were three of them. The other two new ones may or may not be individual identities. There is some thought that any or all of the trolls might be regular posters that assume different identities to cause trouble, have psychotic fun, have lost their meds, ...whatever. As I said, I fell big time for doggydoodoo. It has been very confusing on the BB lately. Because of a lot of things like this some people aren't posting anymore and everyone is suspicious of everyone else.

It's breaded cheesecake ..deepfried just long enough to get the coating browned and the they put it in one of those tall ice cream dishes, cover it with strawberries & sauce and top it with whipped cream sprinkled with nuts and place a cherry on top..

Sounds great right now....but I think I'll have a strawberry skinney cow instead.. only 98% fat free and they are great....

Okay, I have three votes--Desi and Desi and Desi!

So, my first husband was HORRIBLE in bed. HORRIBLE. God-freaking-awful. In fact, in marriage counselling, I told our counselor that he $%^&-ed like a 12 year old. To which he asked how many 12 year olds did I $%^&. He acted like everytime was his first time--ooohhhhh, boobies, boobies, cooter and done. You get the picture.

So, I did what any young-blooded (SPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAM) woman would do--I got myself this awesome vibrator. It was battery-operated. So, I'd use it, ignore the husband, and be happy all the time. Well, when the batteries would run low, I'd switch them with the batteries from his TV remote! He'd come home from work, plunk on the couch, grab the remote, and it wouldn't work. He'd put new batteries in, they'd last a week because I'd be switching them out every week! (Apparently vibrators use a lot of juice!). This went on a couple weeks, and he got more and more angry each time.

So, one Saturday, when the damned thing was dead again, he went to the store and bought a new universal remote, as clearly his old one was busted. He had the same damned thing happen on that one--would EAT thru batteries! He'd ask his friends how long the batteries lasted in THEIR remotes--oh, years, they'd say! So, he figured it was another defective one, took it back to the store, and got his THIRD remote! : )

Gee, that one didn't work well either--batteries would last only 1-2 weeks. This drove him insane, and I'd have to not LMAO every time he was having a fit about his remote not working! : )
