I have been very impressed with the Indigo Moon presentations. From all outward appearances, this line seems to be cleverly designed and well made. Have hesitated to order any items because they are usually so bright and colorful and I generally don't go for colorful pieces.

Would love to hear from any of you who have purchased Indigo Moon clothing. Are the pieces as well made as they appear to be on the TV screen? Do they wear and launder well? How do they fit?

Thanks in advance for your advice/comments. I am a very careful (perhaps too careful) shopper.

And a big welcome to all the people that are new to this board.

Hi, MareKitty,

I have 3 Indigo Moon jackets - the latest one came with 2 coordinating T-shirts & was a TSV last month. I LOVE THEM ALL!! The fit is wonderful on the jackets. Those matching T-shirts aren't as nice as the Quacker Factory Ts are in fabric or fit, but they are OK. The jackets are fabulous!! Usually, they aren't washable, however, but must be dry cleaned. I've never had to have mine cleaned because I'm careful when wearing them & I always wear a tank top, T-shirt, or turtleneck underneath. The quality is excellent - very "high end" for the price we are paying through QVC. I've seen those jackets in other stores, probably also made by Julia K's company, & they are about twice the price that QVC charges. When the jacket is a TSV you just can't beat that value. There is so much workmanship on each piece, & they are all fully lined & stunning - like wearable art!! So, don't hesitate next time you see one you really admire. I'm sure you'll love it!!

Thanks Sandi!

I think you've pushed me over the edge--towards ordering them. I've been wanting to get an Indigo Moon jacket for some time now. I appreciate your comments about the T shirts, as well. Perhaps Julia needs to work on them a bit more, since they are new (I think) to her line.

Maybe some color is a good thing. Have shied (sp?) away from color because my features are delicate and my skin/eyes/hair are basically the same shade -- no contrast.

Thought that colorful clothing would overwhelm. Maybe that's not really the case. Perhaps they will draw out certain features. Can't hurt to experiment, especially if it's with well-made pieces.

MareKitty, I love your name! Do you have kitties? We have one - our beloved all-white Nikki who is 13 years old.

Back to the IM jackets . .. . Some of those jackets are not as "busy" or bold as others, so if you watch the shows, or check it out at iQVC, I'm sure you'll find one or two that will complement your coloring & style. I have light skin & blonde hair, but love color & dramatic clothing so I jump right in when I see a jacket design that I love. I hope Julia revamps her T-shirts a bit. They are OK to be worn under the matching jacket, but I'd never wear it alone like I do with the QF T-shirts. They (QF)are a much heavier cotton fabric as well as much softer. However, the IM T-shirts are OK as layering pieces. Do you watch the QF shows? I love some of the things, & have some really neat jackets, pant sets, as well as T-shirts from that line, but not all of it is for me. I do think that Jeanne Bice makes pretty much something for most everyone - sooner or later! I know there are some BB members who hate the QF line, but I think if you check it all out you can find things suited to most tastes & styles. I've found the QF quality to be fine, too. The IM jackets are just soooo special, though, so I really hope you find one you love!!

Sandi, I do like Jeanne Bice. She is the real deal and I always appreciate that in anyone, even if tastes/philosophies (can't spell) are different from mine. Viva la difference! I have never ordered QF, but if the T-shirts are of good quality and are of substantial weight, I probably should try one.

I have dark blonde hair, olive skin, and green/gray eyes. In black and white, my face looks like mush--no contrast. Can't see the eyebrows because they match my skin!

Absolutely love cats!!! My name is Mare (Mary, by birth). Unfortunately, my son is allergic to cats, so we don't have any now. Always nice to run across another cat lover. Have a great evening, Sandi.

I have several Indigo Moon jackets. My favorite is A03463 in a rose color. The most recent I ordered A04728 is more casual but more colorful. I also have several Quacker Factory jackets, the gingham ones with the daisies in the black and the turquoise. The ones that are too busy are not for me. And I have the Quacker Factory auto-delivery plan for her jean style jackets. One day last winter when I was home in the afternoon they were shown as a one-time only and sold out. The first one was black velvet with a big snow man appliqued on the back. The second (spring) was pink with a spring floral wreath on the back. On the front it has butterflies on the top above the chest. The third one I just received. It is a white jean jacket with embroidered stars in red, blue, and turquoise.
The fourth and last of course is a surprise until it is received. I have a few Quacker Factory T-shirts which are nice-more loose fitting than Denin & Co. ones. I did see the Indigo Moon TSV and I think the price for both the jacket and the t-shirts was around $50.00 so that was a good price. I didn't order it because of the auto-delivery of the Quacker Factory jackets. The first jacket that I ordered for spring was the Dennis Basso TSV A01689 in Lilac which is a beautiful color and also water-resistant and hand washable.

Thank you Carlinagrl. It really helps to know other people's experiences.

I am going to pay more attention to QF (already like J. Bice) and check out her T shirts and some of her other items.

Really appreciate your feedback!

I also really like the several Indigo Moon jackets I own. I literally always receive compliments whenever i wear one. I think they run a bit large though. No one else has mentioned it, so maybe it is just me, but they seem boxier and just fuller than some of the other clothes I have ordered from the Q.

That's good to know, UPSBuddy. I'm between a medium and a large, so this info is quite helpful. Happy shopping!

Hi, carlinagirl!

I envy you your auto delivery QF jackets, especially the spring & autumn jackets. I saw them last fall, too, & was most interested in those 2 in particular. I wasn't fond of that huge snowman on the back of the Christmas one. Would have preferred a different design, like a Christmas tree, wreath, etc. However I really loved the spring & fall jackets, & wish I could have ordered just those 2. They didn't offer them any other way than that auto delivery deal of all 4 jackets. I have a pink QF "jean" styled jacket with lavender butterflies appliqued on it. It's gorgeous, & I always get loads of compliments on that one.

That recent Indigo Moon TSV jacket & T-shirts set was priced at $39,95, plus the S/H, & tax, so for me it came to a grand total of $48, so that's close to the $50 you mentioned. Somehow I missed the Dennis Basso jacket in lilac - one of my favorite colors. Too bad.

I'll have to look up those item numbers you listed, & see just which jackets they are.

Enjoy all your neat spring & summer jackets, Carlinagirl!

Hi, Sanjoro!

I just went to the QVC site and the Dennis Basso Quilted Silk Twill
Water Resistant Jacket is still available in Lilac. It is very nice.

My birthday is in October. My son and his wife that live in Virgina had given me a QVC gift certificate and I was trying to find something special to buy and when I saw the Quacker Factory jacket I bought it. I like jackets. In the past I would have bought jewelry, but I think I have too too much jewelry, thanks to the Q, though the other day I did buy the 18" White Honora Pearl Rondel Strand and the White Honora Stretch Bracelet(J05917) to go with the TSV oval strand I bought in April.

And during lunch that next day I ordered J80480 (the lunch special on the internet). I could not resist the price. I thought I might like them or maybe my daughter-in-law in Virginia who loves purple. I just realized this will go with my Dennis Basso jacket. And the sterling purple enamel bangle I ordered from Silver Style one day.

You probably know the jackets you like, but for what it's worth, I have A0299 in black and took it on vacation to Ireland. It was great, went with literally everything and worked dressy or casual. At the end of the trip we stayed in a really fancy castle, full of rich golfer men and women who shop all day. I got tons of compliments on my jacket, from people wearing really expensive clothes and jewelry...

Hi MareKitty!

My first Quacker Factory Jacket was the turquoise gingham jacket with daisies A0242. IMO this is not too loud or too busy. It is good for summer. I wear it with white or turquoise or khaki slacks or crop pants. You might want to check it out.

My closet is right beside my computer, so I looked on the label for the item number. This one is hand wash and line dry. I haven't cleaned it though.

Thanks to you all for your comments on Indigo Moon and Quacker Facrory. I feel a better educated consumer -- after all, who is the best to judge than people who actually wear the garments?

You are all so sweet. Hugs to all!!!

Hi UPSBUDDY,

I must tell you this, though I must go to sleep soon. My granddaughters are 4 and 5 and live us and their dad. Anytime they see the UPS truck (which comes often) they say the QVC truck is here.

Last winter when we visited our other son in Virginia they say the UPS truck and said "Look Grandmaw, The QVC truck comes to this state too."

It was just too cute.

Their mom visits them. She just had to tell them that it was not the QVC truck, but the UPS truck.

I bought the TSV with the 2 matching tees also. I was surprised by the superb quality for the price.
The jean jacket is beautiful (not too busy). The jacket also has a beautiful sheen. Try one and see - the quality is excellent

Hi MareKitty - it's late and we were at my daughter's for dinner...came in to put computer to bed and saw my mailbox was full, full, full, full of notices on posts....well, I read one - looked at the main board and saw your thread - all my resolve to not answer a word or read another word has gone out the window! I have 2 Indigo Moon jackets and would love to buy more. I am not usually a person who wears anything but brown, black, or maybe an off white or navy blue jacket...certainly no pattern. When I was laid up a year ago I started watching the Q and really enjoyed looking at the IM jackets but felt never for me. Well, one night I dreamt that someone I knew was wearing a jacket that was bright red with black on it. She is a large woman but that jacket looked fantastic on her...she always dresses with the greatest class - I wanted that jacket. The next day they had one on the Q that was just like in my dream. I ordered it and just watched it in the closet for half a year but finally wore it...got many, many, compliments on it and since then ordered a brown/black/cream combo. I also love my Koos reversible waterproof jacket (I know don't like Koos but love the jacket). They do run a little large and I wish they covered the rear end more.

The Indigo Moon line seems to be a high quality selection -- I appreciate your comments very much.

Marekitty, love love love Indigo Moon. I have a few jackets, and one sweater jacket, that I get many compliments on. I recently bought a t shirt and really like it.

I also wear between a medium and large. It depends on the chest size of the garment. Some of the IM pieces are too short for me, or too boxy, so I just wait until I see something that suits my figure type.

I think if you ordered just one piece to try it, you would be satisfied. And...don't foget you can return it, no questions asked.

Please let us know if you order an item, and if you do, hope you enjoy it.

Hi Mare Kitty...

I have 5 Indigo Moon pieces...all are the longer jacket, or duster styles (covers a multitude of sins that way for me)!

I like them all, and get many compliments on them. I dry clean mine, using Dryell, and they have come out very well.

They come with an extra button too, which is nice, as the buttons on all my pieces are very unusual. They are very well sewn, and I have had no problem with the embroidery coming loose at all.

I like them because I throw them on over a basic black tank dresses, or a black tank and pants, and they change the whole look.

Hope you will find something you love.....

To MareKitty and all who replied to this thread....

When I first saw "Indigo Moon", my eyes popped! I "LOVE, LOVE, LOVE" the Indigo Moon line!!! I was busy when I saw this thread title and then too tired to post, but I was glued to the screen to see all of the comments from you wise shoppers here. I've wanted an I.M. jacket from the first time they were presented. (Unfortunately, ordering ANYthing is a rare luxury, so I had to 'lust' only. LOL!)

Several weeks ago (when the "S.A.G." ladies were in full swing) I posted about my getting into "hot water" over being anxious to get on the air to give a shout-out to the "gang" here. The Indigo Moon show was on, so I called-in for a "clearance" jacked (!!!!) that I loved. I asked if I could speak with Julia and got as far as waiting for the second stage where they give you instructions for being on-air. Well, my hubby, who had gone to bed long before, has x-ray hearing when it comes to my being on the phone. (Which is nothing short of a miracle, since he's 80% deficient in one ear and 20% in the other, from being on a carrier in the Navy 35 yrs. ago!!! I think it's called "selective hearing" LOL.) Anyhoo, he came out to where the phone and computer are, and caught me red-handed, on "hold" with the Q, so I hung up!!! (Long story precedes; pertinent but won't go into it.) I truly should've stayed on the line and completed the whole transaction...it was a great buy and we probably could've worked it out as a gift for an occasion. But aaaaaannnyyyway, I went to iQVC this week to see whether that jacket might possibly be there. Believe it or not, I think it is, but there are so many that look similar on the website that I can't be sure. (The item # is buried somewhere among the 100's of notes I keep.) I've already received presents for Mother's Day and my birthday (which was last Tuesday...I'm now no longer 55!) so I don't have the "occasion" card to play for awhile!

If anymore of you I.M. lovers order and receive Julia's clothing, please post about your opinions! I'm a bit envious but happy for you.

Bumping an old thread.

Indigo Moon is on now and Julia K. is expecting - baby due in three weeks.
I hadn't noticed in previous appearance that she is pregnant. Pat DeM. just mentioned it.

Indigo Moon, just like Q. Factory, is another line of clothing that you have to carefully wade through, to find the less over-the-top pieces, but with a little patience, it can be done. I own a couple things, both tasteful.

pandagirl

I don't care for the line at all. Everything I've seen has been cut far too boxy and even the "subtle" stuff has far too much decoration for my taste.

Indigo Moon has some more subtle pieces, but I compare it to Quacker Facrory, but for older people.

I had a similar experience. I ordered a jacket but it was much bigger than I anticipated. I had planned to wear it as a jacket to wear with slacks but instead I wear it over my clothes to keep warm.

Took a shirt out of the closet to wear the other day and it is Indigo Moon. So I guess I do like it. This is light denim with lace and scarlet flowers. Actually very cute & in the ex-small, I am not lost in it at all.
Oh no. I sound like Patti. EX-SMALL, my a*s.
