This is to support Doodle. She has busted her butt the last week to save this board. She is a wonderful person, and does not deserve the personal attacks on her. They are uncalled for, and out of line. I will not let anyone beat up on her or chase her away. She is a ray of sunshine in this board. We need her--she is our lifeline. She makes us laugh, gently leads us out of a thread when things are exploding, keeps things on track. She is a gem of a person, and we are all blessed to make her aquaintance.
On another note--the personal attacks on me does NOTHING. You seriously are wasting your time, along with everyone else's. Let me tell you something, those of you who constantly throw daggers at me to chase me away. And, if you want to mock this and show how pathetic you really are, GO FOR IT, it won't bother me......I was abused horribly as a kid from the age of 9 thru 17. Now, at the age of 9, I lived thru crap you can only dream of. Or have nightmares of. And you know what--I LIVED THRU IT. I lived thru 8 years of hell--was helpless and could do nothing about it. But I LIVED THRU IT. I was a helpless little kid, I kept my chin up--I succeeded at everything I did, and I was a little kid. I didn't let the hell at home ruin my life and defeat me.
I am now a 36 year old woman. Do you honestly think with all the crap I lived thru when I was a kid, I would be beat by this petty pathetic attempt? No, I was a fighter then, and I am a fighter now. If I could successfully fight for my own life 25 years ago, I can ride out any lame attempts at breaking my spirit now. The 9 year old kid was a winner back then and the 36 year old adult is now too.
I've been thru the worse in my life. This is nothing. This is some mean-spirited words on an internet site. I am not in the hospital over this. It truly is insignificant.
So, Doodle, if you need inspiration, picture the 9 year old little girl that I once was. It gives me strength now. Nothing can beat me now, and I will make damned sure nothing beats you either. You are a damned fine person, and the people who matter here know it. The rest are not important. Consider the source. You matter to us. Keep your chin up, and if we see it sagging, we will be there to pick it right back up. Thanks for all your hard effort. We will keep things positive and alive FOR YOU! Bless you!

Tears in my eyes too! We are in this together. Don't worry, I got your back. And I bet Beve does, and Desi does, Elsie does.......Get some sleep--we have to have a fun positive day tomorrow--or should I say later today!
I have a huge lump in my throat. I don't even know where to begin.
My sister-in-law who attended an awards ceremony with me two weeks ago for my son who has Tourette Syndrome and Asperger's said some wise words to me.
"The best revenge is success."
My son has been belittled all his young life of 12 years. Starting with kids, their parents and even some of their teachers but despite that my son showed his resiliency in overcoming many obstacles. He was awarded two certificates of high achievement in front of all the kids who taunted him and their uppity parents who wouldn't let their kids play with him. My son, the outcast, was awarded a certificate signed by the President for having received high honors this year, his first year at middle school. Out of 600 sixth graders, he and another kid with autism and his close friend I might add are among the top 10 students in the whole damn school. So you see the best revenge is success.
WE WILL SUCCEED IN BRINGING SANITY BACK TO THIS BOARD.
Doodle, There are sooooo many countless people you bring joy to on this board. We admire you and always look forward to your presence.
Your rules are what has kept this board alive and well. You have welcomed everyone to have a good time and post. You didn't have to do that, but you did. That's what makes you so special and I am proud to call you my friend. Love, Deb
bumpin this up for doodle... sweet dreams my friend.

I haven't been on here in a while. I sort of pop on and off. I have NO idea what is going on around here but everytime I come on, someone is talking about saving the board and someone is being picked on. Just what IS going on???
Doodle, etc. ignore the idiots that are trying to be hurtful and disruptive. Just remember they are usually pathetic weak individuals who need to use the annonimity of a message board to express their agressions since they are too spineless to do it in reality. These people are usually just real losers in real life. If you keep this in mind, you'll be fine. Keep on posting and just move on. I've also been attacked on here before and I just couldn't care less. One real winner disregarded me and my value as a poster by refering to me as a "newbie" which in his/her mind meant I was worthless. How sad is that person? ANyway, keep posting and ignore the idiots!
bigfatstel,
You just plain ROCK!
bumping for Snow Tiger, Stel, ananigma and doodle of course

I agree, these ladies are fantastic and have been through alot, but that doesn't give them permission to use profanity and talk in detail about sexcapades that none of us on this board need to know. Have y'all ever heard of Private Message or EMAIL!? Remember, there are kids on this board who like QVC. What do you think the dirty and profane posts will do to them?

Desi, I feel your pain about your son. I have a son who is developmentally disabled, and when he was younger I went thru the same kind of treatment. Your son overcame his obstacle, way to go for him!! Congrats to him for his award.
My son is now 36, good looking, (not just saying that, he looks like my brother), and lives in a group residence. He is considerate moderate MR, and is doing so well.
Your son will accomplish much in his life, you wait and see. I just know it.

one day at a time...
beve and desi...God bless you both for being the wonderful parents & giving your sons the best support and love!!!!!!
Just think how God has blessed them....his plan was for them to be born...it could have been so much worse for them.
But he choose you as parents because he knew you would both love them as much as he does. I have so much admirations for both of you.
Being a parent is the greatest gift ever but it can also be heart renching.
When my youngest almost died at the age of two, my ex-husband (who was a very good father when they were little) looked at me and said
that "no one ever tells you it will be this hard".
I too love my two sons and my stepson, more than life itself....doodle

Desi, Doodle...there is a poem, author unknown, and it basically says that G-d knows who to give these children to. I believe that with all my heart.

I never thanked Ana and Snow Tiger last night. THANKS you guys. I am constantly under attack in the board and via private messages (why is my box always full? If you think what is on the board is evil, you should see the offensive crap in the PM's), and it is people like you who keep me going. I sincerely thank you from the bottom of my heart. I swear I am going to quit every weekend (some of you are cheering--well, don't bother). But then, people come out of the woodwork and let me know that their posts touch them. People whom I have never talked with in depth. That means sooooo much to me. I sincerely thank you!

((((((((((BFStel)))))))))), So sorry about the abuse you had to endure. I'm truly sorry! You should be so proud of yourself for overcoming such obstacles. You're a wonderful person, with a positive attitude, an inspiration. It's remarkable that you have become such a lovely, smart, compassionate, funny person, in spite of facing difficult challenges. Your family (and critters) are blessed to have you in their lives. We, here at the bb are too. :)

You are quite welcome.
Again, I'm not sure what all this is about BUT this is a PUBLIC Bulletin Board. There are those that troll around and those legitimently on here that feel it is the sole property of 5 or 6 people. Don't let anyone silence you or run you off. Post, have fun, and FORGET about the rest.
