Uncle Bean of Boyd Bears

Is Uncle Bean ill? I used to love to see him preset his Boyd Bears with Mary Beth and he was always wearing a costume, he is so much fun.

To the best of my knowledge...Mr. Lowenthal (head bean)..hope I got his name spelled right? He got very ill..not sure with what? Heart condition? Sold the Boyd's Bears company and is now retired and spending time with his family.
I can't say how accurate that information is..but I do know he sold the company...I still love Boyd's Bears and still collect them and totally agree with you..I miss him!
