Their latest ratings for the week ended July 4th came in at a 2.7 (down -18%), their lowest since August 2001 and tied with Maury in 3rd place. One thing to note is that they were in repeat mode that week I believe so that must have played a big role. Hopefully ratings will perk up the next time around!

If you guys didn't watch that week, what does that say about the the show? Thought you were such obsessive fans that you would love to see the re runs over and over.

Oh Forgot , you tape them, so you probably had seen them 20 times already. Well, they are here to stay, good shows, or bores, rating's don't matter, 10 years from now, you will still be watching, and they will still be mugging away.

Hey, not sure just what you are trying to say, but I like this part...

<<<10 years from now, you will still be watching, and they will still be mugging away.>>>

Surely hope so... Kelly can wheel Regis out and the power lift in his chair will get him up to stool height...

;0))

PK doesn't care for the location shows the first time around...

The ratings take a nosedive right when Kelly gets a $40M extension. Kind of makes you wonder.

Seems like Oh Gosh needs a chill pill. I'm in the not watching repeats also and I don't watch re-runs either. Looks like he/she/it is looking for company while watching all the re-runs itself.

What kind of age group is Gelman trying to appeal to anyway? You have the "Relly stupid Relly Awards", Regis singing to a dog on "Mutt America". The average viewer of "Live" is 35 years old and over. Gelman has this obsessive idea of trying to make "Live" cool to appeal to his precious younger viewers. Despite hiring a 33 year old co-host who thinks she's a high school cheerleader, "Live" will never be cool, or nor does it have to be.

"Live" will not be on that much longer, anyway. Regis will step down and then the show will be done. Our forty million dollar wonder will be back to doing soap operas and Pantene commercials. I don't see her prime time show lasting beyond the fall season either.

Hey

You still sound like you need to drink some prune juice. It might improve your disposition. You don't seem to like the show, so why are you watching it? Or does that make too much sense????????????????????????

Hah...

Regis singing to a "dog" is no worse than Regis singing to the audience, in fact, I'll bet the dog appreciated it more...

Sorry you don't approve of the Rellys... Feel free to not watch that week, LOL... I thought that was the best week of the year, and I'm delighted it will be an annual event...

I see we have yet another making predictions... Time will tell, won't it...

However it goes, according to Kelly's contract, she will be around for 5 more years, and be very rich, or not be around 5 more years, and still be very rich... If Regis "chooses" to retire before Kelly's contract is up, then "shame on him", he's dumber than he looks...

;0))

Regis is dumb, even "dumber then he looks"-

You are a most critical piece of work. Must be a lot of fun to be around.

LOLOL....

Thanks for the laughs... "AhSo"... (Say that quickly a few times, LOL...)

Actually, Regis looks pretty smart to me... But if for some unknown reason, he bails on Kelly, he is definitely dumber than he looks... That would be throwing away money... NOT something Regis would do...

However, apparently, YOU must think he looks dumb to begin with, since you mentioned it, but, hey, he did sing to a dog...

For your information, I watch the show because of Regis, not Kelly. It is a very awkward pairing. There is absolutely no chemistry between them. He actually seems embarassed by some of the things coming out of Kelly's mouth, however he's in an awkward situation with someone young enough to be his daughter. If Kelly were smarter the age difference wouldn't seem so noticeable.

You are a most argumentive know it all.

Do you always have to have the last word?

Says a lot about you, you have been confrontational to just about every poster --you know what-- you are almost always wrong.

These posters have a right to express themselves without you insinuating your negative personna in every discussion.

Do say Ah,So to yourself 'quickly a few times' you just might get the message.

Ahhhh Soooo

<<You are a most argumentive know it all.>> Thank You!

Hey, you came ragging on me... Sorry if you got caught by your own words... (And, yes, I try to...)

Aleshire1...

OK, new name same stuff... Do you guys take a class??

Of course you watch for Regis... I would have been disappointed if you had said otherwise... At least you won't have to watch that much longer, if Regis bails as you indicate he will...

I didn't read the whole thread ... blah blah blah ...

but weren't they are all reruns for the last week and a half ... reason for the nosedive????

:-) :-)

Yes, suzanne, they were re-runs and not very well put together at that...Plus I think the weather was pretty decent for most of the country (the east at least - according to the right-coasters here)...

No matter, I'm not 'sweatin' it like some...

<<If Kelly were smarter the age difference wouldn't seem so noticeable.>>

Kelly's smarter than Regis so it doesn't matter.

Some of you are jealous of Kelly's success; she wasn't supposed to last on Live for more than six months, her new show wasn't supposed to last three episodes, she was supposed to be back on AMC her first year at Live. But she just keeps getting more successful. Even if her sitcom doesn't last she still could keep doing a talk show or going on to do movies like countless other people who went on movies after their tv shows got canceled. Clare Danes, Jennifer Love Hewitt, the Olsen twins, Tea Leoni, just to name a few.
