.....

OK, did anyone notice someone missing from the Relly Awards nominations this morning? Most likely, in the category of favorite audience winner??????

I think we should stage a write-in. Write in "Sit Your Ass Down" as the favorite audience winner today!!!!

:)

Skeeter

(Great show this morning, by the way!!! It's been fun!)

huh, LOL?

Have a good day all!!

Skeeter

Maybe you missed it, DKLA....when MsPiggie was on the show, her mom stood up when it was supposed to be her, and MsPiggie said, "Sit your ass down!"....

I think that beat all of the contestants that they nominated!!!

:)

Skeeter

Ummm
08-30-2004, 06:27 AM
Oh brother. Hasn't that been beaten to death around here already? It really wasn't all that funny. I would never tell my mother to SIT YOUR ASS DOWN but whatever...

I Agree
08-30-2004, 06:37 AM
To tell your Mother to "sit her ass down", is demeaning.

Most daughters would never say that to their Moms' or any members of their family. Most would have let the Mom win the prize just to see the joy on her face.

Why so many think this remark 'funny' is baffling.

Sorry that I touched a nerve....personally, I found it funny, as did others on here that day.

I guess, since I just went over to vote and there is no opportunity to "write in" that we can do it anyways. Just thought it would be fun!!!

No need to start a war over this. Personally, I think it's pretty neat that they have such a fun relationship, and are comfortable talking to each other that way.....I know that MsPiggie loves and respects her mother deeply.....

:)

Skeeter

UmmmOH

I think you guys are being a little hard on Ms P. It seems like she and her Mom have a great and loving relationship and what is a teasing remark between people in a special relationship should not be fair game for an outsider to critique. I'm usually "Ummm" but that critical "Ummm" above is NOT me.

Ummm
08-30-2004, 06:55 AM
I agree with you, Skeeter. I just registered my "Ummm" so critical Ummm can't use it.....

Skeeter
08-30-2004, 07:03 AM
Thanks, ummm (the 2nd!)....

....didn't think this would start a world war this morning!!! lol

:)

LOL, Skeeter...

If that remark had gotten on air, she would have been the hands down winner, for sure...

Hey, it's been a day or two... Someone snipes at someone every day around here... Look at the garbage on the thread about Sandy's trip.

Hey, Ummm... Glad you spoke up and claimed your name... <grin>

Loved the show today. Voting for wackiest moment is a tough call, but I think I've made my choice unless I change my mind AGAIN before I get over there... Goat milking and Howie did NOT make my personal final cut, LOL...

;0))

I thought Ms. Piggie and her mom were hysterical! It was all in good fun, and certainly not as bad as some of the stuff that is posted here (in a serious manner) on a regular basis.

Well the board has reached an all time low when someone attacks the relationship between mother and daughter. Skeeter don't feel bad you tried to start a light fun thread.

I agree with you totally Lisa, it was hysterical..........looks like MsP has ended up on one of the sniping trolls hit lists.

I am positive if I was the winner, and my mom, or a friend stood up, I would have protested ("all in good fun") as well..might have even given her a yank or two!! lol ...God if you said nothing, you sure would be a stick in the mud, or very slow on the uptake. Who doesn't joke around with their mother?

It was a funny "actual on the show" moment we could all share, and have the inside story. Sheesh.

yes...Skeeter, don't lose any sleep over it. It's a nice thought and made me smile.:)

Ummmm

What a hoot. I hardly would call it "attacking a relationship between a mother and daughter" by remarking that I thought it was crude by saying "Sit your ass down". And it was hardly starting a world war. lol Boy, some of you really need to get a grip. By the way, is "Ummm" such an important username that one has to register it for crying out loud? This place just gets more entertaining by the minute. Geesh, someone better register "Ummmm" and "Ummmmm" too. LOL!!!!

Ummm too
08-30-2004, 09:03 AM
Such righteous rage because we think that it is crude and demeaning to tell your Mother to "sit your ass down'

If it is a war you NEED, go take a hike!!!

Observations were made opinions given, end of story.

Danielle

End of story is this Mother and Daughter that is being mentioned is none of your business. Why don't you put a "B" in front of your little ummmm better yet stick it there, the B of course LOL

Just a note to those that think it is unusual to register a name.....Ummm is a regular poster here..."known" to us through her screenname...for those of you that wish not to have a familiar identity, or may be new to how message boards work, it might not mean much to take another's name, but it gets confusing to all.......... and, she may just not like having her friends otb, mistake in thinking that your opinions are hers. I don't know why you would be unable to understand that.??

DKLA

OK, thanks for clarifying! I would have definitely voted for them! It was a fun show today and I look forward to tomorrow.

Funny about the ummmmm......dumb um.....LOL

Sounds

like Ms. Piggie is on the "breakfast club" shit list. It was only a matter of time.

I seriously doubt that MsP is on anyone's "shit list"!

Good God,there sure are some strange people around here.

Skeeter, If you delete the cookies on your computer, can you submit multiple votes for Clay on rellyawards.com? Not that I would encourage stuffing the ballot box ;)

Skeeter
08-31-2004, 06:47 PM
...you don't have to delete the cookies (not that I've voted more than once or anything.... :)

Thanks for thinking of me. Did you vote (even multiple times?)???????

:)

Skeeter I'd like you to know that I didn't like any of the singers but I voted for your guy :)
Dani~
edited to add it's not a case of not liking them just not my taste in music. :)

Well of course I voted. But only once. I wouldn't want to do anything dishonest. I hope your boys wins! I'll be sure to keep my eyes crossed. ?? I mean my fingers.

Thanks, Danielle and......dailyripa, do I offer you my thanks?????????? You didn't happen to mention who you voted for only once......

Too bad Kelly Clarkson wasn't nominated. Then I know for sure who you would have voted for!!! :)

Anyone notice that they nominated Diana DeGarmo for today's "younger performer" or whatever category? I thought it was interesting they didn't pit Diana and Fantasia against each other!!!

Now, where was Ruben???

:)

I voted for you Skeeter!...now you can go to the Today show website and vote for the couple to get married on the Today Show for me...

I voted for Fantasia. After watching all the clips yesterday, her performance stood out as the best to me. It was very moving, she had the crowd on their feet. As for voting multiple times for anyone, I would hope they would disqualify that person if it seems people are doing that for them, I believe thats spamming or flaming??..thats why I don't like internet polls or voting. I feel it doesn't gauge the true winner of anything, because people just can't be honest.

Oh, and today we voted for Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter). My daughter is a big Harry Potter fan. She watched the DVDs of the first 2 movies over and over last year when she was sick.
