Hope everyone saw Murphy the dog this a.m. on the Pet Show! He looked great...:) And, has anyone tried that pet treat ball thingy? I'd like to get one for my kitties but wanted to know how good they worked....

Puddy is so smart, she has the thing empty before I can get out of the door! It's a neat idea but I hate it when my dog looks at me with THAT look.

What a great dog, I hope he makes more appearances. Retirement certainly hasn't slowed him down. I thought he demonstrated his products with the same excitement and professionalism he had at the peak of his career :) I have one of those treat balls for my 2 1/2 year old GOOFY yellow lab. He really likes it. The only problem is I have a lot of furniture that it can roll under. I'm afraid to leave him alone with it bacause if it gets stuck he may tear up the house trying to get to it or bark himself hoarse and drive the neighbors crazy. It's a lot of fun to watch him play with it though.

I'm sorry too 411. We lost our first dog to cancer 3 years ago this month. Still brings tears to my eyes.

That's easy, Queen - replace them with unwanted ones and hug them every time you see a news story about animal abuse. That's what I do.

Hey you guys, thanks for your kind words. When I think about my 85lb baby it makes me sad. He was my rock. He knew just when to come over to play or comfort me or when to leave me alone. He read my mind. He had a rare form of cancer and I did what I could to extend his life and boy did I spoil him like crazy. I am now thinking about adopting an older dog that was at a shelter, he has the same personality that my best friend had. I know things happen for a reason and if it's meant to be, it will be. Thanks for caring and caring about those Angels with fur. :-)

I just love Goldens -- they are the most loving and lovable animals, so full of joy and humor. My deepest sympathies for everyone who's lost a pet.. I know where you're coming from, for sure. I also highly recommend adopting a pet at your local animal shelter, SPCA, etc. You save a life and add a new member to your family !

I didn't see the pet show or Murphy. Must be I tuned in later than they were on. I'm sorry I missed Murp. I completely sympathize with anyone who has lost pets. I have lost some kitties but never any dogs yet. I think I would die too if they did but then Puddy brings up a good point. I'll just adopt another one because there are so many out there who need our love and care. BTW, I also have wondered about those pet treat balls I might invest in one. They sure look neat.

I recently saw a paperweight that summed up my feelings about the loss of my beloved dog and it said " If love could have saved you, you would have lived forever". :(
