Or did they jump the shark?
--------------------------------------
Jump The Shark basically means when a show (talk show or court show) started to lose interest and started to decline in the ratings.
You can also post about why a talk show may have increased in ratings.
All opinions are welcomed even if other posters do not agree with you. That's what makes this site dysfunctional in the first place!

HSN jump the shark when they took back the old show hosts they let go years ago. like terri toner, tom wise, susan jones, stella richards, etc can not figure out why they brought them back when they were such poor show hosts. Now they use them to demonstrate products as experts ,kind of strange. and we have all figured out as hosts they get free samples of the merchandise thats why they say they own all the products in their shows. they don't say bought do they. HSN has never lost the carnival atmosphere of the first owners, the only thing missing is tootie. The hsn retail store in clearwater looks like a flea market as it has for the last 15 years. you would think after all this time someone would have changed things for the better company wide. but hsn is stuck in the past with no eye on the future.

You know, oddly enough those old host you claim were so worthless are doing quite well now selling product for vendors. Without them, the current crop of hosts wouldn't have the first clue how to sell most of what comes through the door. See, back in the "old" days a host had to be able to pitch everything. Now their more like news anchors who need a script to get them through a show. BTW, the carnival atmosphere is dead...way dead.

i disagree they are not experts on anything they sell they are liars. i recieved a palm pro as a gift it lasted all of two months the gears stripped. terri the expert on that product said it was as good as a larger drill but easier to handle, well she is now selling that larger size power pro, i can't wait to hear why she will tell us we need the larger size maybe the gears won't strip. be careful what you say because you may have to sell it next week. then stella tells you to buy the blood pressure cuff it could save your life. well i have asked several of my doctors and they laugh about it. they all have said no way is something like that going to give an acurate reading for 30.00. if they did every hospital would have them. i see other products terri plugs at the checkout at walmart so i am thinking hsn is an electronic walmart and anyone can pitch that kind of merchandise. does anyone know why the prince and princess of perlier live in new jersey when they lead you to believe they live in italy on some family estate. they make a creepy mother and son combo on air.

Never said they were experts, only that their sales were good...which is true.
Skip and Amanda live in Jersey because their offices are (or used to be) in Manhattan.

I just wish they would not schedule the same presentations all thru the day and evening. It gets really old.
If they had more of a variety(not all coins or vitamins, etc.) I would be watching a lot more.
