Did anyone catch this show today? It was a good idea, and they did a great job with the women who had a makeover. Patti, on the other hand, was not the right choice. She was almost too excited, too enthusiastic, too much interrupting, etc.

Did they makeover Patti?

Yeah they should've made Patti over. Lisa R. could use a makeover too. Something should be done with her hair.

I think this was only the second time they did the show. I think the first one was with Judy Crowell. I saw Laura Geller, but I did not recognize some of the other vendors they had.

I think that she did too!

How does one get on that show or how did one get on the Makeup Mondays?

I have never seen anything on the website, nor have I heard the hosts mention anything about it, till it was on....

The makeovers could be friends or relatives of QVC employees. (?) I have never seen a commercial advertising for it. I remember a similar show (maybe hosted by Judy like you said) that was done with a live audience. It was really well done, but I don't remember the host.

Thanks... They should have a contest, and pick a winner for a makeover...

yeah that would be a given, to keep everything used in the makeover, clothes, makeup, hair stuff etc....

They would have to strip me and wash my face!!! I'm leaving WITH it!!!

as long as I, or whoever, get a makeover, and keep whatever they use....

My mom (a cosmotologist, BTW) mentioned something to me that I would have never picked up on. When they are selling make up (good example: Prescriptives False Eyelash Mascara) they use and re-use the same opened product on several models and even the host! That is against health laws, I'm sure. In a department store, they always say to test on your hand, not eyes or lips. Not that anyone has the creeping crud, but several guests do it on a regular basis. Some never do it. Spatulas are used in schools as well as retail to prevent contamination and QVC IS selling so...I don't know for 100% sure but a host or model could not work with a case of pink eye. Yuck.

Yes, I have heard that. Only gives more credance to the fact that if they would have a contest like that, that the perosn made over, gets to take home whatever is used.

I've always noticed that ALL the make-up artists (Ambush Makeover, etc.) use the same "pots" & brushes when they apply make-up to women. Very unsanitary -- yuk!!
