Patti Reilly, I salute you for going where no woman has gone before in the name of fashion. Bravely, you venture out on camera looking like a NY Hooker with your Hair to Heaven hair and loose flowing red paper bag outfit, completely mocking the theme of Day of Beauty. Routinely, you have the courage to wear pants and shirts three sizes too tight, looking like a sausage that wants to bust out of it's wrapper and making the audience scream out in agony FREE WILLY! Continuously, you wear clothes that don't match making us wonder if you paid the electricity bill in your house or if you have to dress in the dark. Patti Reilly, for bravely being an example of what women should not wear and for making women everywhere feel better about their sense of style, I salute you!

LMAO! That sausage joke reminded me of when 'normal' sized men go out and buy those Magnum condoms. LOL! It looks like a hot dog in a sandwich bag!

LOL. Well they can always cut them down to their size.

LOL!

By the way, I had never read any of your posts until the other day. I was talking to puddy and she said you are one of the funniest posters. I had to come over and check it out. She's right! You are hilarious!

OK, here goes. I like Patti. She seems to be a very good person. She has a house and lives with her brother and his family. She adores her niece, and was so excited about picking her up the first day at school... I agree that she didnt look good on the last Nick Chavez show. Her hair is thick and when Nick, kept putting stuff on it, it only made it bigger and bigger. I know I have thick hair. There is a fine line between thick hair that is limp, and thick hair that has body and volume.

I agree that she can be over zealous, but you know that she does really love her job... That does show...

I think that she had come a long way since she started.

Thanks Jules.

Paula6956, I am sure Patti is a nice person. This is just a light harted jab at her fashion sense and is not supposed to reflect in any way the person that she is.

StillN/A, I agree you definitely are one of the funniest posters!! I do agree with you on Patti's fashion sense and do not feel bad doing a little teasing. However, I do wanted to add (as Paula did) Patti seems like a great person. Someone you would want to have as a good friend. Out of all the hosts she has to be one of the nicest. Alot of it is probably overcompensating because she knows her fashion/beauty/body type isn't the best. That saying maybe Rick and Jill should gain a couple of pounds.

I agree, again...

It like a girlfriend that you could go out to lunch and shopping with and have a lot of fun...

I think that she has lost weight. I think that it may be her body type. One day when she was on, she tried on a jacket in an XS.

I also think that the cameras make a person appear a lot bigger than they actually are...

Ok, what is wrong with Patti's body??? Personally, I don't see anything wrong with it. Patti is a perfectly wonderful host. I don't understand the comments about her body.

I think Patti is darling. She reminds me of the saying "the whole is greater than the sum of it's parts". Many of her "parts" are not picture perfect but overall she is greater than the sum of those parts.
She always seems to have fun...seems to enjoy her job. Patti is a sweet person and I hope she will be with QVC for a long time.

Bisquit....Ditto! I love Patti too. I feel she is one of the better personalities on QVC. I don't think I have ever seen her without a smile on her face.
I don't make judgements by body shapes, etc. That is the body God gave her. We should all look at the inside of the person.
Patti has a beautiful spirit!

If it was just that easy, gale. One can only hope.

I think Patti is one of the most "genuine and pleasant" hosts on QVC. "Judge lest you be judged." Let's not pick apart these people - no one is perfect, and instead, concentrate on their attributes. I value sincerity, honesty, and a pleasant personality much more than one's sense of fashion. Coordinators dress the hosts anyway. Let's rise above the mean-spiritedness and have something positive to say. I think Patti is a lovely person; she is certainly family-oriented. She does a great job of presenting various products and is certainly never nasty or rude to the callers, staff, or models.

Let's lighten up, folks. This is a public BB for anyone to read and post. As long as it's done in a proper way, anyone is entitled to their opinion, even if it's the opposite of your opinion. If you can give solid examples to demonstrate WHY you hold a particular opinion, which I always try to do, how can that be considered negative or mean-spirited? So Patti is family oriented - does that make her beyond reproach? No. We come on this BB to read, post and exchange information AND opinions. If this was 100% sweet and sappy, it would die on the vine. Also, even if posters DON'T give examples, they still have a right to be heard, just like you Karolea. (If consultants have the final say on host appearance, the lunatics are running the asylum - at least sometimes. I think that practice went out with the old regime...)

Wow, I just read the reply to this post. Honestly, this post wasn't supposed to be an I hate this host thread. In fact, I made sure that in writing, I didn't mention any of Patti's physical or mental attributes, and just stuck to her fashion flops. The inspiration of this thread was a take off of the Budwiser Real Men of Genius commericals. Kind of a tongue and cheek look at QVC. Definately not to be taken seriously. To karolea and anyone else offended by this thread, I am sorry that you consider this thread offensive, as it was not the original intent of the message, and I will make it clearer next time when I am making a thread that should be taken light heartedly.

I believe that the majority of us who enjoy this website are in agreement with Puddy's Post #17.

I like Patti too. Did anyone catch her the other day when she was doing a "Walk away the Pounds" segment? Her outfit was awful. Way too tight. Didn't do a thing for her but, to give her her due, she was up there working out with all the "perfect" boyd types. In the interest of fairness and full disclosure I have a "Patti" type of figure.

With respect to the female hosts in particular I was so happy to catch Jacqui (I think) when she was on wearing glasses. An absolute rariety (sp?) in the hosting world.

I've seen Jacque wear her glasses a number of times. She looks cute in them!

Jacque actually looks better with her glasses on than contacts.

I will give Patti some credit tonight. She has definately improved her look for tonight's on camera appearance and looks great.

What Patti needs is for Royal99 to develop a crush on HER. :)

StillN/A
10-01-2004, 07:43 PM
ROTFLMAO! Maybe Royal99 is Pete and since he can't go after Lisa R. anymore he has to go after Laurie. If that doesn't work out, I am sure Patti is next.

A freaky, absorbed crush would make Patti's day, don't you think?

It would definately be a meeting to remember.

I met Patti Reilly when QVC was broadcasting from the Mall of America this summer. She is a very nice person. But, I agree with everyone regarding her fashion sense. Someone needs to help her selection of clothing. The day I met her, she was wearing a trumpet skirt. Not a good thing to see. She is very bottom heavy with a small waist. Someone needs to guide her.

I have to add my two cents...When I saw Patti walk out on the Day of Beauty I gasped at how beautiful she looked. I loved her hair and I thought the red looked pretty against her face. I really thought she was beautiful. I like her. She seems sweet.

I would agree though I have seen an outfit or two that made me say, "What the f$%#??? The only one that sticks out in my mind is a peach ruffly sweater looking thing. I like ruffles but not on that particular item.

As Queen says, Fat bottom girls you make the rockin' world go round :) That's a song for anyone who didn't know so don't get upset.
