Ramsey's coming to ShopNBC

The Ramsey's will be on ShopNBC again! I don't know if ShopNBC realized they made a huge mistake or if it's a preemptive strike against the new shopping channel coming in January. Surely the Ramsey's would have gone to the new channel if they weren't at ShopNBC. And maybe they will anyway, just not be on air to sell their jewelry. They've done that before when ShopAtHome sold their stuff. They never appeared on that channel but they hired a family friend to sell their line.
The Ramsey's will be on air to sell the "Lynn" ring - I think it's Nov. 15th or 18th, not sure.

My ears perked up when I read your post about a new shopping channel. Do you have any additional information on it? My credit card will be so happy it will have a new place to spend money!

I don't really know anything more than has been written already. I think I know where it's located and there aren't even any signs up on the building. It will only sell jewelry, don't even know if it's a 24 hr. channel.
Word is that some of the SHNBC management went over to the new channel along with the 5 hosts that left. SNBC stock is down and they didn't have a good quarter. I guess they learned they don't know what they're doing!! If I hear anything, I will post :)

Shopnbc originally bought 40% of that network, so it was only a matter of time before Carmella and much of the crew would leave. A similar situation happened years ago, which is how CVN finally dismantled.

The Ramseys can sell higher end pieces now that some changes are being made.

ShopNBC did not buy 40% of this network. NBC and GE purchased about 40% of Valuevision (the previous name) Valuevision changed its name to ShopNBC to align itself more with NBC.

I went on the Ramsey's website a while ago and asked why they were no longer on SNBC. The reply said they were unable to reach a mutual agreement. I guess they must have worked something out.

Zoe, as far as company names are concerned, you're speaking of a name change before the fact. I clearly am speaking of AFTER the Valuevision purchase, which is why I called it Shopnbc. Not to mention, GE and NBC is the SAME company, and has been from it's beginning. So, saying that GE and NBC purchased 40% can be very misleading. Now, you wanna quabble about names?

I'm not trying to quabble about the names. I just wanted to point out that NBC/GE bought into Valuevision a couple of years before the name was changed to ShopNBC, so Valuevision was never bought out by ShopNBC. The corporation is still called Valuevision Media, Inc DBA ShopNBC.
