Hi All.
I have been here, reading the posts. I havent really had anything to say lately. But I am excited. Friday night, during Dave Venables, Gourment Holiday show, my husband and I are going to be there. We will be hanging out and eating in the QVC living room. It should be a lot of fun. I hope that I get to meet Dave. I really do like him.
So you all watch for me!!! HA HA!!!

Hey, how did you manage that, Paula? Just curious -- I also wonder how people get tickets to the audience shows.
It'll be fun to hear your feedback on what it's like!

Every month, I go to qvctours.com, and check out what they are having for the next month. When I did that last month, I saw this, what they called "special event". So I emailed them and told them that I wanted to go to that, and they wrote me back to confirm it.
The show on Friday is from 5-9pm, however, we are going to be there from 6-8pm.
It should be a lot of fun. I consider myself lucky as I am not that far from QVC studios. It takes us about 2 hours to get there.
I will let you know how it was.

When I figure out what I will be wearing, I will let you know. I have short medium blonde hair, and my husband has gray hair, and wears glasses. (Not sure if he will then or not) He also has what can be commonly called a, "beer belly", but it isnt from beer that he has it. It is from his love of deserts.
I dont know how man y are going to be at this event. Or where we will be placed, like if we will be sitting on the sofa, or standing by the fireplace, or whatever.
But I will try to tell you the best that I can.

Hi all!
I think that I will be wearing black pants/black top.(Sports Savy Velvet set, I bought about a year ago)Probably black flat shoes too. I may also wear a Christmas Sweater. It has a black background and then prodimently green/red. It has on it, candy canes, toy solider, rocking horse and holley.
Like I said I have blonde hair, not too too blonde.
My husband will probably be wearing slacks, and a sweater. Dont know whether he will wear his glasses or not.
I hope you all can spot me!
Let me know if you do.

I was watching a Gourmet Holiday show with Mary Beth on Wednesday and a chocolate cake was on air. The vendor said it was "chocolate orgasm" and Mary Beth giggled and said she wasn't sure you can say that on TV! It was a hoot! Did anyone else see it?
I missed that one...I usually miss the good stuff. I imagine Mary Beth turned red. lol

Speaking of awkward moments, did anyone see Bob B and Christa Pitts yesterday?
Bob was like "These are extremely easy to prepare... even you could do it Christa" acting sort of jokingly. And then Christa smiled and said "What are you suggesting Bob?" Then Bob said "You told me that you liked those breasts" And he put his hands out to kinda form the shape of the turkey breasts, but Christa thought he was putting out his hands in the shape of a women's bust. Man the look on Christa's face was priceless, some kind of mix of horror and shock. Then a half a second passed and Bob said "those turkey breasts, just throw em in the oven." Then when Christa realized her mistake, she smiled and tried to hold back from laughing.

Paula, I just saw you hand David V. a birthday card. It was in a yellow envelope. I wish I was there eating some of that food.

Here's some pics of Paula's entrance into the QVC living room. Like she said, she's the one with the Christmas sweater and her husband is the one with the red shirt and glasses.

Thanks for the pics, syko! I somehow missed the part describing the christmas sweater and just remembered about the black top. So when I saw all the people in the living room I was LMAO when I noticed that like EVERYBODY had on black!
So, WAS IT BIG FUN? Wanna hear all about it...I spent a fair amount of money the past few days with all the gourmet holiday stuff.

Hi all.
Thanks for the picture, yeah thats me! And hubby!
We had so so so much fun. They fed us till we couldnt eat anymore.
We had popcorn, a big piece of cheesescake, we had he KC steaks, the Corky's rib, The lobster cakes, the bread pudding and on and on...
I met so many people. And they were all so nice. I am going to shock some of you here, Even Rick Domeir, was pleasant and friendly.
David was so nice, and so was Dave King, and Jackie was so nice. I even got to meet and talk to for a while Lisa Robertson. She is so nice, and we talked for a while. I saw in the background, Valerie Parr Hill, and Doris Dalton, (Fran Wilson Lipsticks).
I also saw Judith Ripka, she smiled at the group of us.
I also met so many of the vendors.
I met, ( I will say by the thing they sell)
I met the Corkys rib guy, the turkey guy, the crab cake guy. I met Jimmy Sabiatino, the pretzel people, and Rocco and Mama, and Mama went to us, and just hugged all of us. She was so neat and glad to see all of us. I met Dave Haig, the chicken guy, and the popcorn huy and the apple lady. I met so so many people.
It was so much fun, and I dont think that I will forget it for a while.

What was the best thing you got to taste? I ordered the chicken and dumplings. I wanted the bread pudding but waited too long. I knew who you were from your description you gave us. That is just the neatest thing to do. I am in Florida so I can't get up there for that kind of party.

Wonderful! Glad you had such a fabulous time. And you had most of the best hosts to meet which is really cool! I like all those that you mentioned. Glad they were all so welcoming! What a neat opportunity to try many of the QVC foods too.
Isn't the turkey wonderful? I ALWAYS have a few of those in my freezer! And the cheesecake too is one of my favs. I ordered some of the lobster cakes cuz I already know how good they are too.
I've had the ribs (still have some in my freezer) and they are fine but nothing special, IMO. Well, we have a worldwide Rib Cookoff here every year so I see some of the very best so I guess I'm spoiled.

When we were leaving, and we saw Rocco, and his mother, Guess who was in the, "green room" with them?
Ready for this, as she didnt have a show all day.
Doris Dalton, from Fran Wilson lipsticks...
