James Woods loves the Enquirer......................

Had to post this since it is so current to our discussions here...the tabs always have photos of celebs that they catch reading Star or the Enquirer...or the celebs that willingly give them interviews or photo spreads, but Jimmy is speaking out! lol It struck me funny...him championing The Enquirer. Must have had an epiphany on the operating table. I never thought of him as a "caring for others type" person, but he is.

James Woods just gave an exclusive story to The Enquire concerning his recent heart surgery, hoping to reach as many people as possible and save some lives...(His words, not mine)

"When I come home to Rhode Island, my mom says, "I'm, so glad you're back. Now you can get me a copy of The Enquirer!" says Woods.
"I'll go down to the store and the cashier says, "You read this?" "I say, 'Yeah, EVERY celebrity does. We all pretend we don't, but we do."
"That's why I decided to tell the story of my heart surgery to The National Enquirer.
"If one of The Enquirer's millions of readers sees this story and it helps save their life, how do you think I'll feel?"
"Pretty darn good!">>

FYI....he had emergency surgery in mid Novemeber for a blocked artery discovered during a routine angiogram. The doctors later told him that it was so blocked he wouldn't have lived another two weeks.

I also wanted to say that I had no idea that James Woods had such a serious surgery. I really like him and am glad that he is going to be okay!

Hi MG....I like him as an actor, and I do respect anyone who chooses to do something for others, hopefully a new path for him.....and yes, he is supposedly abusive.....which I have read in the tabs and other mags....which is another reason I am surprised he chose The Enquirer (they haven't been overly kind to him...although he rarely gets good press in any publication about his personal life ).......like I said, he must have seen "the light". lol

I am not sure I am following that statement. Which bit of info?

That he admits to the public that he, his mother, and other celebs read the tabs?,... or that he chose that venue to get his message out to others?
Or is it the celebs that read it, but pretend they don't?


His words sound pretty honest and unpretentious to me. His mother seems like a regular gal too. Her picture is sweet........ a lovely, tiny, smiling, white haired lady.
