Any comments on how Jeff did this morning?
He was
01-19-2005, 07:16 AM
great. Kelly sucked. Her "interview" with Trump was awful. Even the audience turned on her when she made a comment about Trump's unfaithfulness in his past two marriages. Although true and he was a skunk (and probably will continue to be), Kelly was wrong for putting him on the spot. Also, during host chat she made a joke which was funny the first time (Trump the Musical) but - after the fourth time, it was no longer even a little bit funny.

Jeff was great. So easy on the eye's...ahhhhh lol
I loved Richard Marx's song...so nice, I'll have to buy his new cd.
Kelly was o.k, but, I have to agree the remark she made to Donald about his "previous cheating way's" wasn't very tasteful. But, overall, a good show.

Chat was pretty good, I thought, but not as good as yesterday... Jeff runs with the silly stuff more than Bryant... There were some awfully good lines, though... The bit about Apprentice the Musical was funny, but went on just a little too long...
LOL, Trump put himself on the spot... All Kelly asked was there going to be a bachelor party... Trump said do you mean "dating before the wedding"? He said no dating before the wedding and no dating after the wedding... Laughter.... Kelly then quipped that this must be a first for him... Donald said to Jeff, isn't she cute...
So, spose he was put off enough to cancel her invite to the Wedding??? LOL...
And before that Jeff insinuated Trump was not a particularly handsome man... Trump took that in stride as well... Of course Jeff was back pedaling like crazy...
I don't know if Jeff would make my short list of people to pair her with permanently or not... Not on the basis of today's show, anyway... They have been better together.. And will probably be better tomorrow and Friday - Though they are probably doing the intro for tomorrow today, as well...
The other two guests weren't my cup of tea, either...

I always liked Jeff P........for me...he epitomizes the GOOD guy image....no flash...easy going...good sense of humor...and the two things that stand out about Jeff P. is his no-nonsense approach to things...he is honest and lets you know what he is thinking....and he doesn't seem to FORCE things...he lets the conversation flow.....and for me...he's just COOL *smile
First time I saw Jeff....I enjoyed his input.
Trump has been criticized for "registering" for gifts. Today, he said what everybody's been saying all along.......don't get us anything, but donate to a charity!
Kelly's comment about his dating after the marriage did put him in a difficult position. But he got himself in that position because he HAS dated after being married.
I wonder if 3 will be the charm. Doubt it!!!!

Hi Mia, How is your Mom doing?
My minor analysis of the Trump Affair, is that it is 'Business'. He courts the TV talk shows hosts for publicity about his marriage, AND most important his TV career moves. His prime interest is himself, but he LOVES being in the limelight, and all the chat about him and all the exposure in the tabloid shows, give him millions of $$$ worth of publicity, thus good for business~~~He has this HUGE wedding , so he can invite all these TV personalities, curry their favor.. after all. he is "THe TRumpster", so they are intensely flattered, and his coffers and business gain big time.
I heard that the whole wedding, is being subsidized,by these same tabloids and business. He is a BIg Fat Cat....and no won should forget it. YUCKY YUCKY ~~

Kelly made a fool out of herself as usual she is so "crass".Man when she gets on a "thing" she drums it into the ground. Ya Ya I know what you're gonna say so don't bother. She has no class I bet Donalds wishing he hadn't invited her.

Perhaps Kelly shouldn't have made that statement, however, on last night's E.T. and the other ones, Trump himself made the comment that after this marriage, he isn't going to be bringing dates home.
He left himself wide open for critizism. He said that previously, he had brought his new interest home with him while still married. His words, not mine, not Kelly's.
I won't get to see the show tomorrow as they have already announced that GMA will be on from 7 to 10 am with a special for the Inaugration. Beats me why it is necessary to spend that kind of money for one man's ego. He has already had the most expensive Inaugration in history and fully intends to top that. I think that a ceremony with class is all that is needed for a second term. Of course, the big money donatators will need to be appeased.
Just think of all the charities that could be helped with that whopping budget. Far more than the wedding donations that will come for the Trumpster.
Just my opinion. No need for anyone to get uptight about it.
Have a nice day,
Sandy

There has been alot of discussion about Trump's "history". All Kelly asked about was if Trump was having a Bachelor party. He started the "dating" comments.
Mar A Lago is owned by Trump. So the festivities are "expenses" only. By the way, I drove past Mar A Lago several times. It's absolutely spectacular!!
Best time of the year to have a wedding in Palm Beach......this is the dry season.
Hi, Mackey~
Thanks for asking about Mom. At the end of the month she has her third chemo session and is handling them very well.
Dr. says that for some unkown reason they find that the older the person is....the better they handle it. Considering each session is 5 hours.......that's pretty good! Very little side effects.
After the second session the Dr. examined her and said that at the surface, largest tumor had shrunk a lot. But that's just at the surface and we don't know if depth had the same result.
After the 3rd session it'll be another CT Scan & we determine if to proceed with 3 more chemo's or surgery & then 3 more chemo. I hope it's only the chemo.
BTW, tonight I am going to Kelly's favorite Valentine's restaurant - One If By Land / Two If By Sea. Restaurant week starts here next week & they had so many reservations, the restaurant started it early and added a couple of days this week. I am so looking forward to going! I have wanted to go there since the early '70's.
I hope you're doing well. Thanks for asking about Mom.

I am new to this, so I'm not sure if I'm asking this question in the right place... Anyhow, does anyone know if there is a "free" way to view today show? I missed the first 15 minutes and I want to see the baby pictures that were posted for the contest. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Mia, Seems like your Mom is doing well. Amazing that she is tolerating chemo so well. Positive sign for sure. Check with MD about need for extra vitamins, as chemo lowers the immune system.
Restaurant week must be fun, enjoy. My thoughts and prayers continue,

I am not sure if there is any way to see the show today, if you in fact missed it.
Would you happen to know someone who may have taped the show? It's quite possible that more people are taping it then usual in order to be able to get the clues for the contest.

Mia,
Apparently I somehow missed the fact that your Mother was not well. I am sorry for the oversite.
I hope that her treatments work out well and she is on the road to complete recovery very soon.
I will keep her in my prayers and keep my fingers crossed.
There has been so much going on in my life that I haven't been here a lot the past few months. I guess I need to catch up on everyone.
Again, my best wishes for a speedy recovery,
Sandy

Mia, you actually see Mar-a-lago from the road? How cool is that? Tell us more.
Good analysis of Trump, Mackey. He's something else. I hate to say it, but I wonder if a good part of his friendship with Regis may have to do with the fact that he likes hearing Regis talk about him the next day. I'm sad to say that I don't even look forward to The Apprentice 3....that personality and that voice have just gotten so old for me. I'll give it a try but it had better be MUCH IMPROVED from the last one!
I was so glad to see Julie there with Jeff! And they were shopping at Whole Foods in Columbus Circle....!! Mia, are you familiar with this whole new Time Warner complex at Columbus Circle? Kelly said today that it's where all the celebs stay. Might be fun to see next time I'm in the Big Apple.

What kind of "player" was Julie on Survivor? I don't watch it and never have. Was she one of the females who used her body to try and win, or did she seem like a nice contestant?
Jeff seems like a good guy and would hate to see him taken in by someone.

Julie was a good player- and she was nice. She did flirt a little bit but nothing excessive and she lied to Twila about an alliance but overall she was very nice- no drama. She came in 6th place and is from Maine.

I heard that she really liked Jeff and set out to win him. At some point during the game she had a fake tattoo drawn on her arm of a heart with Jeff written in it. I didn't watch faithfully but she did seem nice and I think she's about fifteen to twenty years younger than Jeff.

Hi Scoops- nice new home here- I will try to come and visit peridiocally.
The heart was on her stomach if I remember correctly....while the show was on, there had been rumors about them being a couple but except for the heart she never really flirted with him. There was an article in one of the Maine papers on him going up there to visit her and see the foliage and to meet her family.

Hi, Sandy~
Mom was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer. Thanks so much for your good wishes and prayers.
Mackey, restaurant week is cheap! Restaurants who participate offer a special lunch and/or dinner menu for $20.12 at lunch and $35.00 at dinner. It's a 3 course lunch or dinner. Doesn't include beverages. Gives us an opportunity to try restaurants without loosing and arm and a leg. Also, if it's a restaurant you don't feel too comfortable spending the big bucks in because you don't know anybody's who's gone...for that price, you can experiment.
One If By Land was good, but my desire to go all of these years built up the place in my mind and it wasn't as I expected. The food was good. I've been to restaurants which seem more romantic. Funny thing is that I had never gone because I had been afraid of being disappointed!
Susan, hi! My sister lived in West Palm Beach and either in the late '80s or early '90s I saw Mar A Lago. It was when it was owned by the Post's and not Trump.
I've been to the Time Warner building several times. Street level and to the second floor book store (either B&N or Boarders) I can't remember. Haven't ventured higher or checked out the lobby of the hotel or restaurants. I don't think the celebrities are really staying there unless there's a side entrance I haven't seen. Columbus Circle is way too congested! Now that I think of it, there has to be some sort of side entrance. I can't see the residents or hotel guests having to walk through the upscale mall to get to their dwelling. Susan, go take a look when you're here. It's our latest sightseeing stop!
Whole Foods is fab! It's so clean & all the food looks so pretty!
Hi Mia...
I'm glad to hear your mom is doing so well...She sounds like a strong and lovely woman.
Sorry you weren't more excited about 'One If By Land'. Seems that's often the way when we get out expectations set so high, huh? What was it my grandma used to say...Something like "expect nothing and you will never be dissapointed".
Anyway, please know my best thoughts are being sent your way for you and your mom and dad...
Take care,

One of the things that stands out for me about Julie is the fact that she would sunbathe nude so she was pixelated a lot when she was on the beach! I think at one point Sarge even was persuaded to try dropping his trunks for some sun.
Also, she ended up being real quiet the last few episodes. She just seemed to have gotten tired of the whole thing. When it came out that Jeff had emailed her just to say hi after the show wrapped, and things went from there, one of the funnier messages on the board I read said, "Gee, I wonder if he emailed Twyla too."

I heard that he has hooked up with previous Survivor members. He is a doll, but how could that relationship last with her being 24 and he being 42? I am 34 and my Mom would still have a cow about it, LOL:-)

Hubby is 15 years older then I am and we've been together for 17 years now.
So--who knows--it could work and if it doesn't, I am not so sure that their age difference will be the reason why.

I saw Julie's audition tape, and at the end she sends out a special hello to Jeff.
Her friends say she had a crush on him way before being accepted to do the show.
I thought she used her body.....not as trampy as those that went before her, but still felt she was definitely working everything she had.
Also, thought her reply to the one question she was asked on Live to be crude.
I forget the exact wording, but she was asked something about how Jeff treated them while filming, and she called him a "hardass' or something like that.
Like I said, crude.
She is not one of my favorites. I have also heard her say some not so nice things in recent interviews about the winner Chris. Considering she lied to several of the players (Twila for one) to stay in the game, she sounded bitter to me.
I can understand Jeff being smitten, she is adorable, but she is a "player"..imo.
