I was up very early this morning & caught Sharon Faetsch hosting a jewelry show. Her teeth/mouth area looked strange. Her teeth appeared larger than normal and abnormally white. Her makeup and hair style were too excessive for that time of the morning, she just did not look the same. I really liked her classic subtle style when she first arrived, she was a refreshing change from the other QVC clones. I think that once you enter the "QVC Family", you are really entering Stepfordville. These women go in as normal humans and turn into pageant contestants. The intelligence level also seems to decline with time.

Veritas you speak the "truth". I like your user name, truthfully I do.

Your points is valid and right on target. They all come to QVC has decent humans and turn into droids. It is like a cult. I imagine their meetings are much like a revival or an Amway rally. Wonder if they all wear the same brand of kicks and wait for their mothership to take them home when the next comet passes.

It has been so long since I saw Sharon that I didn't recognize her voice. If she has been on recently, it is not at a time that I have been watching. Her hair and outfit were ridiculous for the hour of the day (night). I don't know what they are thinking. Later on I saw Antonella briefly. She had her hair up and the lipstick was a little less black. I thought she looked cute and she certainly isn't a Stepford type.

Did anyone notice Mary Beth's eyebrows last night? They are much darker and almost jumped out at me. Don't think I have ever seen them like that before. Maybe she is taking a lesson from Lisa R.

I'm going to make a guess that Qvc's current makeup artist may have been recruited from Donald Trump's Miss USA/America crew, or one of those children's pageants.
Don't get me started on what I think about dressing up cute little girls in ridiculous costumes and making them look like mini me clowns, that would be a whole other thread.

HHIgirl, maybe they are all given pink Cadillac's too, like those Mary Kay sales women. I think you are correct regarding your mothership theory, LOL.

Do you remember what Sharon looked like when she first started at QVC? Very homely, very matronly ... I'm sure they gave her a make-over. She really does look like Kathy Levine, and I personally don't mind her as a host. I saw her hosting with Joan Rivers over the weekend, and thought she did a nice job.

Bee, I do remember and her make over is an improvement. For some reason I cannot warm up to her. I saw her with Joan as well and she does do a good job. I for some reason am not "taking" to her. Although I will take her over Patti any day.

I also notice that Christa seems less "company" to me now. She seems calmer and I can actually sit through her.

I am working on that "positive" thing. Lent is comign fast! I guess I will have to go hog wild "negative" on Fat Tuesday.

I think Christa has calmed down a lot too. I don't mind her at all. I don't mind any of them really ... except Jill and Bob Bowersox. I about gagged a while back ... saw Bob doing a cooking show, and after he took a bite of the chicken (stuffed chicken breasts), he made a moaning sound ... VERY sexual sounding ... cough/gag/puke ... I about lost it! Talk about spitting out what you're drinking! BLECK!

Is it just me or has anyone else notice that SpongeBob highwaist pants of the tribe ether has had some "work" done? He looks particuarly shiny and tight. Like he is no stranger to Botox. Now, I am not saying that is a bad thing since I am looking into thta myself. But....I think we all agree "ain't nothing going to help the king of grandpa pants".

Sheila fits right into that "Stepford" thing. I saw her this morning, and she was exactly like the Faith Hill robot that got stuck in the movie. She was talking about a canary yellow diamonique ring, and she kept repeating, "this ring just says wealth and affluence. if you don't want people staring at your jewelry and grabbing your hand, DON'T buy this ring." Plus, she should never do jewelry shows. Her hands look like "man hands". That's a Seinfeld reference, sorry. Help me, Lord, Lent is so close and I have so very far to go.

He always says he uses the Genie stuff ... maybe that's it! Shiny cuz he's using too much!

Nova,
I said the same thing about Sheila's hands. "Man hands". I actually stated that outloud in the middle of the night and woke my mom up (long story-she has had a series of strokes and I take care of her. trying to fill ya in on poster lives since you are new). That was the first time in weeks we actually laughted ourselves silly.

Bee,
Maybe it is the Genie on Bobby. Just something night right there.

HHI,
I knew we had things in common..LOL. I cared for my Dad, and although it was difficult at times, it was the best thing I have ever done. God bless you and your Mom.

Nova,
Bless your heart. Caring for a parents is the hardest task in the world. Thankfully I discovered this BB with all these wonderful post toasties. This is my escape and my support structure. I got home from the hospital two hours ago with orders to go straight to bed. Here I sit two hours later still messing around on Trevor's site.

Jill is the worst, IMO.

She's like an old school marm. Has no sense of humor, even though she has that awful, completely fake-sounding "ha ha ha" laugh.

She was remarking on how a woman said to her, "Hold out and have your baby on my birthday," which was near her actual due date.

Jill was flabergasted! She said, "That was the wackiest thing I've ever heard of! The baby will be born when the good Lord decides."

Like the woman who said to hold out was s-e-r-i-o-u-s.

I think she's kind of screwed up.

Yeah ... I don't get the impression that Jill has the best sense of humor. She and the guy from Ross Simons get along great together ... yawn ...

I couldn't sleep last night and saw Sharon on in the wee hours, doing a Diamonique show. I have more respect for her ever since I saw her hold her own with Joan Rivers in a jewelry show! Last night her look was so harsh, though -- deep, dark burgundy dress, with bright nails and bright bright lipstick. Her hair was pulled back tightly with some strands escaping. With her pale coloring, it was just too stark of a contrast! It was hard to look at the TV screen. Wish they'd soften up the makeup and the look, because she seems like a very nice person and does a decent job.

Saw that too ... wasn't her best look!

HHI - Once again, too funny! I loved the Amway remark. I agree with Bee - Bob admits to using the Genie Line Smoother so maybe that would explain the shine.

As for Shelia's "man hands" - I must admit, I thought the same thing!!! They are not the best for close ups. Creepy.

Sharon did a great job with Joan. Has anyone noticed how long it has been since Patti or Lisa R. has worked with Joan?
