View Full Version : why can't Kathie Lee be a guest on Live with Regis and Kelly?

I'm curious because I have never heard or seen that she was on.I did see when she was on Hope and Faith,but never on Live w r/k.Please if someone has the answer please tell me I would greatly appreciate thanks

It seems that Gelman is totally in charge of all the guests who are invited to the show. Sure wish Regis would have more input on that--after all it's his show and not Gelman's. I think everyone would like to see her come on and talk about her Broadway show, "Under the Bridge." She was on the Tony Danza show last week.

The fact that she has never returned to Live since leaving the show in 2000 remains a mystery, doesn't it?

think it would be fair to Kelly. The differences between these two ladies (other than Kelly copying some of KLG's mannerisms) is astounding. Kathie is smarter and classier -- Kelly is younger.

I really don't think it's a mystery. I agree that it would not be fair to Kelly. The media and viewers in general would probably do tons of comparisons between Kelly and Kathie Lee after her appearance. I have nothing against Kathie Lee at all, just think the buzz surrounding an appearance would be awkward.

I agree with those who say it would be awkward for Kelly, UNLESS Kelly suggested it. I wish she would.

Hey, Susan! Good to "see" you. By the way, Kathie will be cohosting on Fox & Friends on FridaY. I'm going up to see Under the Bridge one last time before the run is over this weekend. Maybe then Kathie will say she will do next. I'll let you know!

When Kathie Lee was on the show she said she and Gelman didn't get along on many things. I think he still has great anomosity toward her.

The best sweeps Gelman did was sweep Kathie Mee right off that stage.
