Oxygen Network....
Interesting part of an article by The NY Times Alessandra Stanley, "TV's Women Hitting Their Prime Time," where she makes an assessment of the Oxygen Network's shifting programming trends.
<<<<"The strangest thing about this trend in women's programming is that Oxygen, the cable channel that Geraldine Laybourne helped found in 2000 as a high-minded alternative to Lifetime, isn't part of it. It instead seems hellbent on becoming the channel of choice for Paris Hilton. Having struck out in its pursuit of the high road, Oxygen is competing for the lowest common denominator.>>>
The last phrase is very telling . . . . "Oxygen is competing for the lowest common denominator."
I wonder how Kelly and Mark like being associated with the 'lowest common denominator."
My guess is it doesn't matter, money is money, lol.
