What they did to Susan Lucci (AGAIN!)

We all saw what they did to Susan Lucci last night! It would have been all right if she lost the Emmy and that was that, although she should have won, but when they called Susan Flannery's name, they play the All My Children theme song AND some cameraman tells Susan LUCCI she won! Didn't those people have a list of the winners that they can play the right theme song, and differentiate Susan Lucci from Susan Flannery? Well, I E-mailed the academy and complained, and was joined by a lot of Internet AMC fans. They might really do something though, if they heard from you, too! The address is webmaster*emmys.org. We AMC fans are rallying around Susan for all the hours of enjoyment she's given us!

Thanks, I think I will write also. I felt very sorry for Susan. How emabarrassing for her. That was a total screw up, what they did to her.

Susan is a real professional. Sorry it had to happen to her, but luckily someone stopped her before she reached the podium.

But, that's got to be your worst nightmare, as a nominee, to think they called your name and your walk out................Y ikes.

At least she wasn't in the audience, and did't start walking up to the podium, and then have to turn around and go back to her seat--now THAT would be embarrassing.

The worst part was that Susan Lucci knew it was Susan Flannery who had won. You could read her lips as she nodded and said "Susan Flannery." So she's accepting gracefully that she lost (on camera no less) then the production people tell her she won and send her out to the tune of the AMC theme song. Yes, thank goodness someone stopped her and they straightened it out but Dick Clark owes Susan Lucci a HUGE apology.

I felt so bad for Susan Lucci,she handled herself so well. I would have just died from embarrassment. She should get a huge apology. I think she really is a nice person in real life, she plays her "Erica" role so well ,it is hard to believe that she is probally a normal person if the truth was known,she is always smiling.
I would like to know her plastic surgeon, the girl looks younger than me,and I was a kid in school when she was in her second marriage on AMC. She looks great.
All those actresses on AMC are so thin,I wonder what their secret is? All of them are very thin. Do they eat at all? I know they eat, just what? LOL

I knew when they said the name Susan Flannery that it was not Susan Lucci but i wish it had been,i saw her start to go out there and then somebody stopped her.I'm glad somebody did stop her before she went out.I agree somebody should apologize to her.

Definitely an apology should be made to Susan. The guy that announced her name, kind of screamed it after he said Susan. I wasn't sure what he said myself!
Anyway, I like her and hated to see that.

How awful!!!! The worst part in my opinion was that they played the theme song to All My Children. Of course she walked out,hearing that. She probably couldn't hear anything else once the music and applause began...and she did go out, I watched my tape..she didn't get far, but she was definitely onstage.

How sophomoric are YOU, Lisac????!!!!???? Good LAWD GIRL! One needs to get up to a podium to experience embarrassment? 5 million TV viewers is not sufficient?????

It was really dreadful that there was a cameraman backstage, trained on LaLucci, when SOMEONE informed her that they had <mistakenly> announced her as the winner. To her credit, she was INCREDULOUS. What grace!

But I would never characterize the incident as "lucky" for Susan Lucci.

Oh well. No accounting. LieSac does not get my vote for empathy queen this week.

I have it on tape, and SL DEFINITELY DID walk onto the stage... I think she almost got up to the podium but someone ran on the stage just on the edge of the screen and caught her before she came into view of the TV screen. But if you watch her when they first show the camera on her she is definitely walking onto the stage (look at the wall behind her).

How embarassing must that have been! I feel so sorry for, she seems like such a genuinely nice person.

According to Kelly this morning it was Rosie's fault. She was the one who told Susan that she won! After Rosie won the Emmy over Regis and Kelly then went on to royally screw up the Survivor show- now this- Good riddance Rosie!
